@@ryanturpin5114 I recommend to use the included in-line HPF. Without the included HPF installed, the Pioneer TS-A879 will play down to 52 Hz. Playing this speaker below 80 Hz can damage or destroy it with 30 watts rms. No matter what you do, you won't get much bass from a 3.5 inch speaker, so I recommend to use the LPF it's reasonable in your particular installation. Try to be a little more specific. Do you think 52Hz is too high for this speaker's low range or, is it too low for a 3.5 inch speaker to realistically play? I think 52Hz is too low for a 3.5 inch speaker to play at any real volume level. Maybe using the high pass filter that's included in the box is an option.
