- If you've got the cash, you can go out and buy all of the tiki decor that you need for your bar... but if you don't, you need to be resourceful. Thrift stores, estate sales, and some good old fashioned creativity will get ya there. Here are five things that I made for my home tiki bar!

Rewatching this for inspiration. I would love to see more videos like this. Even videos of how things are made, like carving the posts and rail for the wall. Love all the videos. So glad that you have kept this series going after all this time. They are all great to watch and rewatch. Thank you for what you do!

Do the lamps! I think for fridays there should be the full meal deal videos. It's kind of a nice destination thing. Longer conversations, the outtakes, and the slo mo, maybe do the 12 mins for mid week?

You just solved a problem I have had with my home tiki bar: By the time we did a pour on the top and added the trim around it built up so much that the height when you sit at the bar on our stools is out of whack. I often tried to figure out how I can lower the bar (HA!) heighten each stool... instead, I will add a platform under it to raise the floor level!!!!! GENIUS!!! Now it will be the proper height to rest your arms on the bar without feeling like a toddler at the dinner table! MAHALO!!!!
Suggestion; Go to the South Pacific and find or have made some local art for your collection, so you can recall that you've actually been there.

Would definitely love to see a show just on Tiki Lamps. I am building my on tiki bar in my garage in San Diego and the most expensive items I'm trying to add are lamps. Maybe a guest who also makes them?

Craft Time with Spike! Show us how to create that seashell lamp (I’ve always wanted one)
Make 2 wood round shapes for top and bottom make it whatever size you want add chicken wire and with the shells you gonna drill 2 holes to each and with wire tie them to the check wire. I make these all the time i work down at OceanicArts.
I am obsessed. I sought out this video because I am currently putting together my own tiki (orchids of Hawaii) shell lamp. I also live in Massachusetts so I would've never been able to make it to that estate sale but it sounds like an absolute fantasy come true! I am not exactly a lady of means so I make things I want. Though I am very jealous of your stuff you and I are kindred souls and I'm now a new subscriber. Thank you!! Aloha!!
