I was playing around with different designs for the British 1890 Campaign in Custom Battles, still trying to tweak in the Armored Cruiser design to some sort of happy (or at least useful) medium, and it suddenly struck me - why even bother with Armored Cruisers at all? The Light Cruiser was looking to be a far more flexible and useful design, for approximately the same cost - and now with one of the latest updates, you could fit two enhanced funnels to achieve 70% engine efficiency at 20 knots - either giving an incredible amount of range - or still have decent range at minimum setting and allow you to load even more enhancements on it, due to the reduced amount of coal required - like keeping Standard Bulkheads and Standard Crew Quarters.
In battles&fleet management:Hold control or shift,to select multiple ships. Then order the whole bunch, unifying speed, restricting torp launches etc,or btw in being&sea control,in fleet management. Also Hold control when directing multiples in battles.if not they line up like scouts at an excurtion.
I sincerely hope they allow user to select all tasks in academy and campaign, I feel sad when I couldn't progress further because I don't win in previous campaign/task.
I just got the game, been watching it on youtube for a wile. The only thing I want that I haven't found are barbette's for wing secondary turrets. I want to step up some 8 inch turrets on a Japanese Hull
It's a shame there isn't a more hands on control on the firing of the ships for more accuracy, also telling the ship what part of the enemy ship to focus on.
This can be weirdly annoying. Your best bet is to have your ships in port on ‘Sea Control’ and when you build them try to get their range as high as possible.
Hey, I have the version 1.0.2 then i cant see oceans and controls whil playing.. but in customizing ships there are complete view ....only ships firing and water splashes.. whats the problem?
You mentioned that the barbette armament upgrade affect normal guns that aren't on barbettes too, how do you know this? Is it shown in numbers somewhere in the game or have you just been told by a dev or something else? Great vids btw, you are my favourite tuber of this game
You can tell the barbette equipment option works on all guns by looking at the ship’s flash fire chance, cost, etc - it changes by the same amount regardless of if the guns are mounted on the deck or on a superimposed barbette.
If you mount a turret It has a barbette, barbettes run deep in the hull They just arent always the raised superimposed barbettes for superfiring turrets
i know this isn't really a fair relevence now 1.09 version 1890 campaign ....but why is tension between me and the Russians rising continuously when i have zero ships in "sea control"? and even half of it in "limited" yet tension just keeps rising on three sea fronts..
I especially appreciate the tips on armoring up my ships. Thanks Brother!
I suspect it was simply too much hassle, but it is a bit of a shame that you can’t build your own hulls like originally planned.
Agreed. A length/beam ration slider would already be ok. You have a variable choice between sleek-fast and plumb-stable.

You’ll see in my 1910 German campaign I don’t even bother making an Armoured Cruiser design 😂
The advantage I can see with the Heavy Cruiser is to build it like a pocket battleship, and that’s about it
From what I know so far, early game armor is just not worth it 9 out of 10 times.
Congratulations you discovered the battlecruiser
Thanks for the video. Didn't realize this finally released on steam.

Also if you slow down slightly from flank to full speed, your chance to hit increases. And if you kill 45% of their crew they will surrender.

Some hulls let you do this but not all sadly
Great breakdown of the game
Thanks!
Nice vid, this game looks awesome. Kinda reminds me of Warship Gunner.
Excellent video thank you!
Appreciate your guidance sir! :) Thank you
Hey no problem :)
It's a shame there isn't a more hands on control on the firing of the ships for more accuracy, also telling the ship what part of the enemy ship to focus on.
What I need to knkow is how to group ships together and how to get them to fight the enemy. That would help me a lot.

I don't see the helm slider in my interface. The bottom right slider with the helm icon just isn't there. Any idea why?
Yes that was removed in a relatively recent update as it was messing with the formation system

Can someone tell me how pitch works? Playing the 1890 campaign and all my ships end up with high pitch.
Can you do a guide to the campaign? Much I don't understand.
Headphone users careful for the coughing !!!
how do you change the year in campaign?
In custom battles is it possible to design the enemies ships as well?
It is now yes!

how tf do you fight the enemy in campaign? cant click on em to attack and they dont do anything either, tf is this
Is there any game manual at all?
Could you do a guide to the campaign, with how to start off?
Definitely once the full campaign is out I’ll do a guide
how big is the storage requirements on this game?
It’s pretty small, Steam says you need 2.5GB of free space.
I have had the game on my steam wishlist for like a year or so, sp how well does the game run on minimum specs?
I haven’t tested this myself but I’ve heard from other players that as long as you keep the shadows and AA off it runs quite well

Tension is not really about you and the navy but your population and government’s feelings
