Yangchen even knew techniques that would cause someone's lungs to collapse in the blink of an eye, she could slam the weight of the sky on someone, she had an Airbender powered scream that shook the spirit oasis, and she could take the Air out of someone's lungs. I'm of belief that Nomads are nonviolent simply because they know how dangerous their element is compared to the other benders... after all...all it takes to kill, is a little shot of air. As Aang himself demonstrated against the buzzardwasp.
It's a thing that martial artists/fighters and, nowadays, (responsible) gun owners learn and take to heart: when you know how easy it can be to hurt or even kill someone, you choose to avoid confrontation and conflict, and never escalate. See how when Gyatso was cornered and desperate, he gave up pacifism and took out god knows how many firebenders during the comet (even if at the expense of his own life). When the power difference is that big, you have to be the bigger man and avoid violence.

Being bound to one set of morals and ethics limits and constraints your actions, and becomes just another weapon to be used against you.

I always like that Iroh says "I am so happy" instead of "I am so proud". It's small, but Zuko's constant self-criticism born from his failure to live up to his old idea of pride is brutal, so Iroh just subtly taking his speech away from the idea that Zuko has lived up to Iroh's expectations but instead fulfilled his own potential is really nice to me.
It's funny the two times zuko has had to speak to someone sleeping (Iroh, Katara) he just waits all night instead of waking them up or coming back later.
1:12 when you realizxe the writers just want to flex Toph's abillities. She never did sandbending (apart from the desert episode I believe). She didn't use it since, doesn't use it in the finale. It's just a big flex
18:35 Funny thing is, in the novelization of the episode, Aang has an internal monologue where he even says what the Lion Turtle said didn't make sense, but it gave him a moment of comfort and clairvoyance
I understand our frustration with Aang not wanting to kill the firelord, but I think we need to acknowledge his culture, which has been eradicated, taught him not to. he's the last one, the last torchbearer of his culture. He's also a kid that doesn't wanna kill anyone. The other avatars were adults
Just to give some real world context about the Lion Turtle - there is something called "The World Turtle" myth. Many Eastern religions including Buddhism and Hinduism, as well as some pagan and Native American belief systems have myths about the world being on the back of a giant turtle. The show creates its own interpretation of this myth, making it a "Lion Turtle". This is also why June's mole (Lyla) is unable to smell Aang while he is on the Turtle. The Lion Turtle's scent is literally the base scent of the world. Side note: Also why there are nearly no flat earthers in the East. Even in the myths the world is spherical 😅
I feel like someone of you would have cried if those girls weren’t there. I bawled at Zukos reunion with Iroh. That’s true love, the one that believes in you despite you losing your way. I’ve tasted that kind of love and it’s soo sweet that tears of joy come out. An overwhelming feeling of unquestionable love.
I rewatch this chapter this morning. Its like de fiftieth time i saw it, and i cry again. And cry again watching you react. This serie its just a masterpiece
As a kid, we love going back to the action and confrontations, but as an adult...we still love going back to the action and confrontations, but we heavily treasure the emotional moments. In the past, as a kid if you say your favourite scene was Iroh and Zuko's reunion and others would probably go "Yeah that was good, but not as great as -Blankety blank-" Which would usually be a fight of some sort. But as an adult, you mention the Iroh and Zuko scene and almost every person will go "Yeah. That was the best. I cry every time"
Holy sht, I've watched this so many times and only now noticed the scar on Aangs foot while he was running from Zuko. Is that supposed to be the exit wound from Azula's lightning shot?
are you guys going to be watching legend of korra? ik lots of people dislike it but i think everyone should decide that for themselves, and when not compared to ATLA it's an amazing show on it's own
"If only she knew sandbending earlier". Tbh I think the reason Toph got so good at sandbending, is because of what happened earlier. I think she blames herself for what happened to Appa. She never wanted anything like that to happen again.
Also I’m very surprised that a lot of reactors thought that aang was gonna kill the fire lord. Like if a lot people in the show keep telling the main character killing is the only way and there’s no other option, usually the main character finds an alternative solution.😂😂😂 also if its a kid show and on Nickelodeon then duh he’s not gonna kill him. I knew that when I watched this when i was 8
I'm scared for this show to end, love watching your reactions. And toph refining her sand bending - because she was too weak to stop Appa being abducted, so she made sure to home her technique is a sweet detail from creators about the love she has for the team. Especially if things happen again in the desert. To defend the past avatars for only offering wisdom instead of their opinion, the reason why they only offer wisdom/advise is because if the avatars are about harmony and balance, straight up telling someone what to do is taking away their free will. They offer wisdom so that hopefully the avatar asking them advise can reach a conclusion of their own accord with their won beliefs/opinions/thoughts. That's how I always saw that scene.
just enjoyed the video from the start man, loved it, if i could say a simple thing its that rather than cutting the screen below the audience, maybe it would be better making it a little bit smaller or even like the original size without the cuts, i my self thought that that would be better and simple, but please, im just saying it outloud, you are the geniuses here hahaha, again loved the vid, liked it, keep growing guys
Welp, since you split up the last 4 parts, I sure hope you'll post the last 2 parts tomorrow. Please? Anyway, Iroh and Zuko's reunion is one of my fav moments in the show and it gets me every single time. I cried right along with the Studio Gek ladies.
Not only is Aang battling the moral implications of killing Ozai, he also likely feels that killing would be him turning his back to his airbending culture. As the LAST airbender, it would feel like the symbolic death to his entire culture.
the way bumi lifted that statue when he was taking back omashu.....i mean, idk to me it looks like he is lifting it from the bottom and tipping it over rather than pulling it down from the rocks he lodged into its face....wouldn't that mean he was metalbending? does this mean BUMI is the first metalbender? and he just never cared to tell anybody?....idk, food for thought
Everyone give Kyoshi the one being murderous and crazy but Kyoshi actually "ran" from her fight by separating a continent and accidently killed her villain. Yang Chen the airbender was actually murderous. She killed many people and over through governments like Zahher and the earth queen from Korra. Kyoshi only told Aang that you have to do what you have to do. Yang Chen actually just told Aang it does matter that you dont want to kill the Fire Lord, kill him. Yang Chen needs more respect on her name
To what Cannon said about Zuko waiting for Iroh to wake up: It wasn't random, in fact it was very intentional. Early on in the show there was a scene where Zuko rudely orders someone on his crew to wake Iroh from his nap so he could inform him of some news that honestly could have waited. In this scene though, even though Zuko is anxious and wanting to tell Iroh something important, he waits for Iroh to wake up before disturbing him. The scene is supposed to be a direct contrast between Zuko's old self and his new self.
I don't mind that Aang is the kind of person who doesn't want to kill, but it's so inconsistent, because he's clearly killed a lot of people, and so did the Monks, there were dead bodies of fire benders all over the air temple.
Zuko and Iroh reunion scene is just so heartwarming. Literally the two best characters from this series.

Very sad to watch your avatar journey coming to an end, so now all that's left Is to see what the finale will be.
I cry every time"
Everyone's gangster till Uncle Iroh pulls Zuko in for that hug.... 😢 Tearbenders unite ✊️
11:55 LOL if only you knew what Avatar Kyoshi has been through. She's an absolute unit.
Moral of Iroh: Pain & suffering are always inevitable for a large intelligence and a deep heart.
Zuko knows not to wake a sleeping dragon. One of the best episodes in the show
Great reaction guys. These four part specials were the biggest event during 2007 when they aired.
when the series starts one of zukos first lines is "Wake my uncle!". In the finale zuko sits and waits for his uncle to wake up.
Holy sht, I've watched this so many times and only now noticed the scar on Aangs foot while he was running from Zuko. Is that supposed to be the exit wound from Azula's lightning shot?
Haven't really got emotional over a show for a while, but damn that Zuko and Iroh moment
are you guys going to be watching legend of korra? ik lots of people dislike it but i think everyone should decide that for themselves, and when not compared to ATLA it's an amazing show on it's own
That's what I keep saying too lol. Like it's fine if some people didn't like LOK, but let new viewers decide that for themselves.
Korra isn't as good as the original, but except Season 2 it is still great!
@@MrJojux i actually like lok more then atla😅
LoK shits on much of ATLAs world building and themes, I rly hope they dont watch it and end it on a high note
@@mintkasa it really doesn’t, if you have any dying questions the novels really bridge the so called “shitting” on the lore
I’ve probably seen the Zuko/Iroh reunion scene 50+ times whether through my own watch throughs or through reaction channels. I cry everytime.
I knew that when I watched this when i was 8
But they did kill jet so it was possible. And Lion King did it
@@Ty921 true but it didn’t seem like that’s what story was leading towards
Now you must witness the movie evil laugh 😂
I hope they do Legend of Korra, so many tear-jerking moments.
We're all waiting for season 3
I really hope they dont watch it tbh

Grand Master Iroh, the Ladies Man! Made the ladies cry, all the time! haha🤣
I'm scared for this show to end, love watching your reactions. And toph refining her sand bending - because she was too weak to stop Appa being abducted, so she made sure to home her technique is a sweet detail from creators about the love she has for the team. Especially if things happen again in the desert.
Side note : I reaaaaaaaly want to request a show - ranking of kings, and fmab, I think you'd loved both of them and I hope you have them on your list of to see!
Ranking of kings especially is a really fresh faced anime, great pace and great story! I hope you guys see this request!
Can't wait for more updates and can't wait to see what you guys put out next (hopefully another anime movie or RoK!)
Much love
good news i think they will start uploading fmab soon. they already started watching it
They've been watching FMAB on their patreon already!
I second Ranking of Kings. 👀 (Also FMAB but they're apparently watching it already.)
I can’t wait to see you lots reaction to the last two episodes!!!
Don’t be sad, TLOK will definitely cheer u guys up 🎉
I just joined in season 3, so I was wondering which are the "haters"? because it seems everyone already watched the series and liked it back then, and now it's just about rewatching it
The guys actually started this channel because I think two of them hate anime that's why they are called haters. The 2nd and 3rd guy if I'm not mistaken
Im so hyped for the finale👀 So many great moments in these last 4 eps❤
“Today, DESTINY is our friend.” Goosebumps
Can you upload 3-4 tomorrow im beggin u
Releasing the finales on different days is criminal come onnnnn guyssssss
been waiting literal months for this!
"That's right, Aang. All my knowledge and wisdom is available to you"
"So where am I?"
"The hell if I know, kid"
Now that y'all are done with avatar, I just know one of the big three is coming soon. ✨💚
When she said if only she can” sand bend before”broke my heart.
unreal levels of hype when nickelodeon was advertising Aang vs the Fire Lord on TV
What a cliffhanger T_T
I hope blonde hair check knows azula is not that hard to fight after all. Heck katara could end her with blood bending
The difference between zukos apology to Isai and this is staggering
Yay, I've been waiting for the second part to watch these back to back!
just enjoyed the video from the start man, loved it, if i could say a simple thing its that rather than cutting the screen below the audience, maybe it would be better making it a little bit smaller or even like the original size without the cuts, i my self thought that that would be better and simple, but please, im just saying it outloud, you are the geniuses here hahaha, again loved the vid, liked it, keep growing guys
Are you guys going to cover Avatar Korra as well? pls
Welp, since you split up the last 4 parts, I sure hope you'll post the last 2 parts tomorrow. Please? Anyway, Iroh and Zuko's reunion is one of my fav moments in the show and it gets me every single time. I cried right along with the Studio Gek ladies.
best way to start the day!!! with iroh's moving words! Much love to yall, i know it must be hard to coordinate, but nothing beats the full couch
0:04 (That girl's looking) is my looking that to my pessimistic future :D
Not only is Aang battling the moral implications of killing Ozai, he also likely feels that killing would be him turning his back to his airbending culture. As the LAST airbender, it would feel like the symbolic death to his entire culture.
you guys gatta watch The Legend of Korra after this is over, definitely helps with the "end of avatar" blues lol
Not that I solely watch these videos for this reason, but is this the first video where Cannon didn’t put his legs up
(Besides the acrobats at the start)
I love this series.😊If not all of you have watched the Legend of Korra you should all react to it on the channel with the girls.
Idk why but seeing the guys get emotional makes me more emotional lol
Dope this is coming out, the long vid on Patreon kept breaking and wouldn't play at the 42 minute mark
the way bumi lifted that statue when he was taking back omashu.....i mean, idk to me it looks like he is lifting it from the bottom and tipping it over rather than pulling it down from the rocks he lodged into its face....wouldn't that mean he was metalbending?
does this mean BUMI is the first metalbender? and he just never cared to tell anybody?....idk, food for thought
That's rough childhood buddy
Are you guys going to react to the Legend of Korra?
The legend of Korra next pleaseeeeeeeeee
Iroh and Zuko hugging scene just broke me even more than Leaves From The Vine.
Been watching since you guys released the first video of aot so proud of how far you’ve come
I don't mind that Aang is the kind of person who doesn't want to kill, but it's so inconsistent, because he's clearly killed a lot of people, and so did the Monks, there were dead bodies of fire benders all over the air temple.
Actually you guys should read/react to the avatar comics that take place after the show ends before watching legend of korra.
I LOVE STUDIO GEK 👹👹👹
Can you guys watch one punch man and mob psycho 100 both are created from same mangaka and both are amazing shows
More Hunter x Hunter please 😌 It's about to get spicy now
