Hi, does any part of that clamp come in contact with the either the shell or the bearing edge? I bought a similar clamp by Dunnett and it touched the shell so I didn't want to use it. Thanks a lot and great video?
Not to my ear but I suspect it does have some effect on the sound. There is zero contact with the shell so it may even increase the resonance…. I may have to get the scope on it to see the frequencies.

No shell contact on these as they clamp directly to the hoop. Great bits of kit 🤙🏻
