This battle was so much harder than Prototype 2. Like holy sh*t it is not even comparable in terms of difficulty. Plus there was a timer too.
Yeah that timer at the end made this boss fight a living hell
The difference between being able to block and avoid a tracking aoe as opposed to a straight fight.
I agree that the fight was marginally more difficult [at least when you get *all* upgrades in Prototype 2] it wasn't that much harder compared to Prototype 2. And I played this game when I was like, seven, so that's saying something. Damage spongey? Yes. Difficult? No.

It's a blend of the Cross theme and first Supreme Hunter theme. Like it's subtly telling you that you are technically fighting the two characters at once.
You basically was. Cross was green son, the supreme hunter was his monster form
@@TheStatisfiedOne Cross isn't Pariah. And the Supreme Hunter was the parasite that Mercer was injected with and later got rejected by Greene.
@@TheStatisfiedOne captain cross is not a supreme hunter, he was killed and consumed by a supreme hunter later after Alex defeated Elizabeth green

@@TheStatisfiedOne Cross wasn't Greene's son. The identity of her son isn't known. Also Cross wasn't infected and had no monster form. The Supreme Hunter created by Greene earlier in the game who was killed by Mercer, resurrected itself and consumed Cross and took his form.

I like how this game gives you all these amazing combat powers, but also makes it so the only one you're really able to use against the boss is Musclemass. Unless you're /insanely/ good.
I defeated the boss using claws hmmm guess im too good huh
Man when i played against this boss i was quite young and stupid and i used weapons based on how cool they looked and after like 10 tries I defeated him without using musclemass because the blade was way cooler
So no skill only stubbornness of an 12 year old

Still no sign of prototype 3. Hope almost entirely diminished. Maybe during the xbox 360 and ps3 nostalgia era. If not, RIP prototype.
I wish there was some sort of mod where you Can play as supreme Hunter and have all his abilites.
Well...Alex had more abilities. The bloody thing was simply tankier than him.

This theme is the same like cross first fight. I think the theme tells you that cross is the supreme hunter all along and Greene son
jets, which were meant to be in the final game, as well as throwables wielded over your shoulder and thrown like javelins, make their ONLY appearance here, in this ~6 min mission. what a game!

the game was so nice that the game gave. me 2+s to beat him cus the boss was like 1 hp and died but the game gave me more time

My theory is
Supreme hunter survived like first encounter but as a celluar level parasite
It found a way to contact with Mercer, and so it absorbed him
And so it become Mercer we know at Prototype 2
**plus theory is We didnt fight real Mercer at Prototype but a small decoy to test us
Yeah, now it’s way better

Question does this soundtrack have an official name or no?
Officially no. It’s a mix of Errand Boy and the OST used during your first encounter with the Supreme Hunter.
Well the one mission is called “Children of Blacklight” where you fight the Supreme Hunter for the first time, and the final mission is called “One Thousand Suns” where you fight the Supreme Hunter for one last time to save New York from being nuked.
I think robert cross is a supreme hunter when you first encounter him because this theme sounds similar to errand boy
Tf Cross fought Alex way before the Supreme Hunter was even born
Robert Cross actually gets consumed by the Supreme Hunter sometime after Alex kills Greene. Hence why Erran Boy and the Supreme Hunter themes are remixed for the final battle.

@@DeathCrow- Ohh so there is no biohazard bundle version in PC? Cuz it looks so nice and clean
@@iamkindyuri It wouldn’t make sense for the Biohazard Bundle version to be on PC, it’s literally same as the original just with slightly better graphics and models on Next gen consoles.
