How is the ride with your 2--door short wheel base? Does it take more concentration on the highway when towing?

It's perfect with our teardrop. Trailer is just over 1k lbs which is the most we'd ever pull. 2DR is rated up to 2k however we did that on a trip through Canada and would never go that heavy again.

I could see that the salt flats weren't all that smooth. Be careful of pressure washing the camper, silicone sealant does not like the pressure.
