Stormtrooper, they just add a little paint and don't change the mold at all giving the same accessories every time. It feels like I'm just buying the same figure

To all those saying cody is overrated, it is purely because everyone wants the clone commanders that are well known from clone wars and the movies. The re-release will be very popular and I expect hard to find in my country which doesn't historically get all the black series figures. We usually miss out if a figure is popular. I paid about 60 usd for cody a year ago, or more accurately my son paid with his xmas and bday money. If they released more clone commanders and squads they would make a fortune in sales if they made sure to keep up supply. Also more jedi please hasbro. Maybe a 6inch scale rancor beast is asking too much though?
IMO The Imperial Stormtrooper is the single most overrated figure. Army building Imperials is important to me, and for such a staple figure, his joints get loose easily, his articulation is limited in places, the helmet's likeness is only so-so, mine barely holds his weapons, and his scrawny stance is anything but intimidating. The clone mold and even the First Order mold (which initially had poor elbows but they fixed) are better sculpts, and I'm excited for The Mandolorian mold in September.
Yes finally someone gets me The stormtrooper was just kind of disappointing to me,the legs would barely move up,the shoulders were so big for no reason,but my biggest concern is that I cant put the stormtrooper in any position without it looking uncomfortable,something just feels off about the figure at first I thought It was the double jointed elbows but the scout trooper has double jointed elbows and I loved that figure idk man it was just plain disappointing
Why don't you army-build with 12" Rogue One Stormtroopers then? I have whole squadrons of Phase 1 Clone Troopers, Imperial Stormtroopers and 1st Order Stormtroopers with those. They are much cheaper, they have a nice sculpt and you get "more figure" out of them.
It's a good figure, but there is NO WAY that the Mandalorian is NOT the most overrated Black Series, maybe even figure, of all time. Not only do all Black Series collectors have to have him, all action figures in general and Mando bandwagoners feel that it is their duty to backorder him into the next decade. Here's to trying to get the beskar armored Mando before customers cause Amazon to crash 👍
The amazing thing is Hasbro learned nothing from how that was the hardest one to find by a mile in that wave and made the Beskar armor version 1x case again.
I'm new to Black Series, so I was happy all the Rebels got rereleased. I have half the cast in the new boxes with the other half on their way. I would never pay above retail for Ezra, though.
I'd agree with you on White Box Mandalorian. The fact that the white box is over $150 more than the black box and nothing inside is different is crazy. The whole first edition wave is the ultimate cash grab from hasbro as all they have to do is change the base color of the box, but none of the rest are even close to what mando is going for.

Whatever Trever they cost to much for what you get and most can't remove there helmets. Gree definitely should have been able to remove his helmet to show off he's double mohawk

Also I have the white box Mando, still in the box. I got him on force Friday along with the black box one to open, the Carbonized mando, Carbonized second sister and Commander Fox. However, I can't bring myself to sell the white box........ To me it's really cool and special that I actually found it, it's like a little trophy in a way. Plus I would honestly just feel bad selling it, not only cause I was so happy and surprised to find it, but I wouldn't wanna make anyone pay upwards of $200 for it...
Anything clone trooper related is overrated, IMO. Particularly Commander Cody! I was astounded how he won the archive collection fan vote and by such a large margin. I just don't get the appeal of him. We definitely need an updated face print of Princess Leia and Obi wan Kenobi from episode 4. Greedo would have been a great choice for a repack too.
Tripple Zero and Aphra really need to be reissued. The prices they go for are insane, especially with 0-0-0 being a repaint C-3PO with some extra plastic on his fingers
Wow I'm surprised Cody is number one, with how many people are wanting him, including me lol I'm really happy he won the fan vote and I can get him for retail price next year!! Also in my opinion the MOST overrated figure is hands down Boba Fett. He was the first black series figure I ever got, my mom got him for me for Christmas before I even knew it existed back when the line just started, so to me he holds a very special place in my heart. However, I cannot deny that he is way overdue for an update, and I'm really hoping they do something for his with the upcoming 40th anniversary of RoTJ, or even just sometime in the near future since they're already making new figure for that movie!! Fingers crossed!
I think you nailed it with this list!! I agree, the Child seems to be a bit small. its like they made him to a scale that worked with the packaging. Like your other honorable mentions I would add this: ALL female characters, and for one reason. None of them stand up easily! Every single one of them, its very hard to get them balanced correctly. I ended up using earthquake putty to keep them up. I agree with the R2 Comments - He's out of scale. I actually kept mine in the Box and I have the Disney Elite Series out on Display, its more more accurate in scale, its actually a hair big, but far better than the Black Series R2! The same thing applies to all of the Astromech units, they are all small. I think like the Child, it has to do with packaging, they made them a hair small so they would fit in the standard box.
Saw Baby Yoda in Target recently, and could not believe how tiny it was. Including his floating car seat or a second figure in a different pose are the only things that could’ve made it worth $10 IMO.
I find that with a few exceptions, these are mostly overrated due to their release in very limited waves (like Ezra and Mace). But the ones that stand out for me are General Grevious: he looks great but just CAN NOT stand up, and Ahsoka: gummy knees and small feet make her hard to stand, gummy lightsaber hilts warp her lightsabers, and paint apps that are just a bit MEH. I think the upcoming re-release will be a vast improvement.
I skipped out on Cody when I saw him in a Walgreens back in the day. I thought about it, and sure he looked cool, but clones and troopers are my thing and he just didn't look all that great in my opinion. Firstly, he had the sloppy paint application of the early black series figures. I could nitpick every little thing about him, too. His neck looked too long, his helmet sculpt looked off (maybe because of the paint), the color of orange was off, he didn't have any of the carbon scoring he did in the movie (and like the 3.75 inch version did), he didn't have much battle damage, the shoulder and elbow articulation was weak, he had no removable helmet or extra head, the belt was painted wrong (the orange carries over too far to the side), the hip articulation was meh, and he didn't come with his communicator or Kenobi's lightsaber or both. TBH I don't even remember if he came with his jetpack, but I think he did. I hope Hasbro vastly improves upon this guy for the archive release. Now if they did all of this stuff that'd be superb, but some better paint and new heads would be good enough for me. I agree the old figure is overrated.
I avoid buying any 6" SW figures if they're over $25 after shipping and tax on the 2nd market. And I've been very lucky. Patience and always looking pays off. I almost have all the troopers I want for my Vader and Imperial trooper display.
Ahsoka tano. I missed the wave when it first came out and can't justify paying scalper prices. I've pre ordered the entire rebels wave though so no chance missing out this time.
I have to go with the Amazon exclusive Emperor. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great figure, cool accessories and throne but the current amount on eBay at almost $200 isn’t worth it in my opinion.
I'm kicking myself for not grabbing that when it was $40. I was looking into starting collecting last year, then got a second sister for Christmas, but I passed on Palpatine.

Somehow, I totally forgot to cancel this guy and Amazon charged me before I even realized he was coming out. Looking at what he's going for now, I'm soooo glad that happened.
I have all of these mostly for retail except for Escape Luke (Skipped because boring head on a basic stormtrooper) and First Release Mando (I got the regular release). I also paid after market price for a loose but complete Maul. But all the rest (including the specific community picks) I got for retail so.. can't relate to this list.
This is a common occurence around vehicle toys from the 80s that had rubber tires and similar (it's very hard to find some tank toys without broken treads). You can mitigate it by flexing the rubber now and then to help keep it from 'setting up'. Play with your toys!
Disagree with Mace but agree with pretty much the rest of the list. Especially Cody. It's good he's getting an Archive release but he is objectively mediocre. The head seems too small, it sits too high on the neck, he has molded battle damage but no battle wear paint, the knee joints are insanely soft/gummy, the elbow articulation is just okay and he didn't come with the hologram which 3.75" version have come with.
I took a six inch Wedge out of the box. It showed how awful the black series figures are. The scupting gets in the way of the joints. The figure does not stand on it's own. One foot looks like it's going to snap off at the ankle. Give the figures a little less detailing for wrinkled clothing so joints can line up better in various poses, and move unrestricted and the figures over all will be better. You can learn a lot from 80s GI Joe figures.
I wanted Captain Rex, he's on Amazon for £110 which is where he will stay. The only figures I've paid more than face value for are K-2SO (for some reason he's been going for £30-£40) and Old Obi Wan/Ben (£39), this one was second hand with box but a few days later a SDCC Obi Wan went up for sale with a unopened but damaged box for less than I paid for just the figure. That was dissapointing.

Ezra’s value is right up there because that wave got cut short and made it impossible to find. I know I paid thru the nose for him 😢 But the more Hasbro keeps doing exclusives, the more we’re going to see figures going for stupid money. BTW - Grievous. Get the Bandai kit (just ditch the even worse cloak)
I agree with Cody being #1. I dislike that he won the fan poll since he's a dated figure, when we could have had a figure who desperately needed a better face, like RotS Obi-Wan. Oh well, I'm sure he'll come again.
Boba Fett is good but I've bought and sold that one twice with both first release and archive. Reason being I have the Mafex Fett (Amazon had it really cheap a couple of years ago). My only ONLY gripe with Mafex Fett is no foot pegs. He stands fine and I hate that elaborate crane stand Mafex gives him. I prefer peg holed feet. Other than that Mafex Fett is 100% a scaled replica of Jeremy Bullock in the Boba Fett costume as he was filming the movie. It's amazing
I own these but my list. The gamestop with game purge trooper. (High price). IG 88. (Don't stand well). All the B1 battle droids. (Don't stand well). All phase 1 clones. (High price). Shadow guard. (High price). Shadow trooper 2 pack. (High price). Side note. The exclusive ones like Walgreens clone officer. Gamestop purge trooper. Wal-Mart clone wars mando figures. I hate that because as person who works for a living, it is really hard to get ones I want because of a lot of reasons. 4 main reasons. Preorders already full. Store it's at not in my area. Don't find out till after. To high priced. Thank you to everyone for there time be safe out there.
Lol. Before even the Archive series one came out, I remember seeing that Maul was going for like $100 on eBay, while the Figuarts was on sale at Amazon for around $50, so I ended up just getting the Figuarts, which worked for me because I think the Figuarts is vastly better.
@@SymbiSpidey Done the same with R2D2. Was shopping around for the one with all the accessories, cheapest was about £60 on the new hope card. In the end I got the Figuarts for £45. And its bloody awesome and more in scale. 🙂

Well I love Commander Cody and all the Clone Troopers so to me they are not overrated! People just like what they like! If something is popular the price goes up. A person may not like the price to go up but that is just how it is.
I am a huge CC fan. Fortunately I received Cody as a gift so I own him guilt free. Fox 🦊 is being delivered today which completes my commander collection.

I can't wait. Fox is a controversial character. I also have Bly coming. Forgot to mention that. I recently went temporarily insane and bought twenty figures. It's become a task to keep track of packages. I've only received six so far. Three are coming today as well as the Boba helmet.

I'm primarily a vintage collector. But occasionally something comes along that is irresistible. Like that damn snowspeeder. Last year my wife and I binged on the jigsaw puzzles. We framed 9 of the 1000 piece issues and one 2000 pc. rogue one version which is stunning.

IG-88 will never be as iconic of a character as IG-11. All IG-88 did was “stand there” in episode 5, whereas IG-11 was portrayed in full, 360° lethal badass mode in The Mandalorian.
My top 5 for this category 😂 ( mine is based off figures I don’t think are good. But everyone thinks they are.) 1. Boba Fett ( ok but not fantastic.) 2. Bossk ( bad articulation.) 3. Ig-88 ( can’t stand.) 4. Darth Reven ( bad articulation.) 5. Asoka ( old version.)
Most overrated as far as price for what you get? R2-D2 and Han Solo in carbonite. The retail for Han was fair, the aftermarket is stupid and R2-D2 rarely drops below $30 even loose. Others that are highly overpriced are ROTJ Luke (not Wal Mart) and ROTS Obi Wan. Horrible facial sculpts. Figuarts made the best ROTJ Luke. I have the Wal Mart one but just pose it with the robe on. Black Series Anakin is also awful compared to Figuarts.
over a year later and I was able to pick up many of these at retail price. mace, maul, ahsoka I picked up in the past year for $20-25 each. I do agree with the poll on the empire boba fett figure, those front pockets really hinder leg articulation and the fact that his right wrist has a back and forth hinge instead of an up and down one makes it harder for him to hold his blaster right. thankfully the deluxe return of the jedi boba fett fixed all that and is an amazing figure. also a lot of these can be nabbed at bigbadtoystore for retail price now.
How right were you about re-releasing the "little gremlin, with his car seat". I picked up the figuart one to go with their IG-11, so I will skip the re-release. Thankfully.

I agree on the boba fett one. The sculpt itself looks amazing, but like the weird thigh connector joints he has plus the belt restricting movement just destroyed the figure. I hope they improve on that.
Darth maul was a badass figure. I purchased the rerelease for retail price and it’s great. I prefer the plastic cloak even if it can’t pose as much just because it isn’t a dust magnet.
Funny story. Maul and Kenobi were a few of my first purchases from a Game Stop. I just started last December but my wife is cool with me having a vice so I went OD on purchasing. Check my collection out on iG, eF_5ive. I live in a rural area too so if anyone ever needs to trade or needs a new release I can usually send as long as you cover shipping.
What about commander wolffe not saying it's a bad figure but I've seen him priced for the same as commander cody plus never even seen wolffe on the 2nd market
You want a clothed robe for Maul ... did you forget the Mace robe - and every other clothed accessory in this line? It just doesnt work with the material they are using and the finish is not that great either.
I think Ig-88 is the worst figure in the line... which pains me to say since I personally like him over Jango (fat, legs can only maintain one pose) but objectively... yeah
The Luke that I got was / is buck toothed and you're right about the box art. I suspect the artist had never seen Star Wars. The Carbonised figures? Defo' agree that Hasbro were after money. The Child? Well there was never going to be much they could do given the size limitations. Defo' overhyped. But Maul is a super figure and happy to say I got the orange line version when it was on sale for half price.
Hot take on Luke. He's based on how Luke looks when he pops out of the water in the trash compactor, which is why he looks so weird. If you check the scene, it's not that far off
Its not a fanbase overrated but I do thing Hasbro using hype to overrated the creation of exclusives. Fairly new to Black Series and was not familiar with Action411 but looking at the list, Wow!, the exclusive list is almost as long as the regular line. Imagine if they made those more readily available instead of overproduced new movie figures we not being seeing repaint after repaint of figures. Really think Hasbro and Disney need to majorly rework their toy deal because it just feels so stifled compare to so many other lines in the market right now.

With Mace, I think it’s not that his robe is kinda trash, but it’s one of the Black Series figs that has a Jedi robe at all. The SLJ likeness is also far superior to the S.H.Figuarts version. I kind of understand the hype on that one.
It’s comforting to me that pretty much all the figures form The Sequel Trilogy are worthless in my country, nobody gives a damn about sequel stuff, every store still has a couple of #01Jakku Finn, Poes or regular first order troopers. That is a sign of the legacy or impact that trilogy will have in the future, the Mandalorian on the other hand...
I don’t agree that the clones are overrated, but I think they are all insanely overpriced considering the fact that so many people hate the prequels. That hurts me because I pretty much only collect clones and since their all overpriced, they are extra difficult to get.
Cody is a definite, id love to have that figure but i feel it is likely he'll get remade soon. They could go all out with a removable helmet, and the hologram like you said.
I think quite a few figs its based on their rarity..I havnt even seen most of these figures and even when I did when they were gone I never seen them again
I completely agree that cody is overrated; his paint apps suck compared to today, he should have been weathered. He didnt come with any acessories or a head which is disappointing. And his posabilties and joints suck. I think people thought the archive release would fix this and it wont they will just release the same figure again. As an avid cody fan it sucks that his figure is so much worse compared to the other newer ones and i hope that hasbro redoes his figure entirly fixing these problems i mean we have so many lukes, cody can have a second figure right?
I collect based on my interest in the character. I would like to see Delta or Omega get a Black Series release but otherwise hype has no influence on my purchases. eg. I have no connection to sequel characters so those have no appeal. But in my opinion the purge trooper has garnered far too much unwarranted notoriety.
I think the original Han Solo is overrated. It doesn't look like Harrison Ford at all. Too lanky, good articulation for the time it was released. It's definitely in desperate need for an update. That new Endor Han Solo from what I've seen looks to be the best one yet. Bespin Han is great but that head sculpt seems off to me. That's the only problem I have with that one. 1977 Star Wars Han Solo NEEDS updating.

There is a star wars specialty store near me that sells the Ezra for 110 dollars claiming "it's hard to find". What a flipping rip off.

The Clones are in no way overrated. They are so highly priced because Clone Wars fans like myself love to collect them.

Also I have the white box Mando, still in the box. I got him on force Friday along with the black box one to open, the Carbonized mando, Carbonized second sister and Commander Fox. However, I can't bring myself to sell the white box........ To me it's really cool and special that I actually found it, it's like a little trophy in a way. Plus I would honestly just feel bad selling it, not only cause I was so happy and surprised to find it, but I wouldn't wanna make anyone pay upwards of $200 for it...

Anything clone trooper related is overrated, IMO. Particularly Commander Cody! I was astounded how he won the archive collection fan vote and by such a large margin. I just don't get the appeal of him. We definitely need an updated face print of Princess Leia and Obi wan Kenobi from episode 4. Greedo would have been a great choice for a repack too.

Also in my opinion the MOST overrated figure is hands down Boba Fett. He was the first black series figure I ever got, my mom got him for me for Christmas before I even knew it existed back when the line just started, so to me he holds a very special place in my heart. However, I cannot deny that he is way overdue for an update, and I'm really hoping they do something for his with the upcoming 40th anniversary of RoTJ, or even just sometime in the near future since they're already making new figure for that movie!! Fingers crossed!
I think you nailed it with this list!! I agree, the Child seems to be a bit small. its like they made him to a scale that worked with the packaging.
Like your other honorable mentions I would add this: ALL female characters, and for one reason. None of them stand up easily! Every single one of them, its very hard to get them balanced correctly. I ended up using earthquake putty to keep them up.
I agree with the R2 Comments - He's out of scale. I actually kept mine in the Box and I have the Disney Elite Series out on Display, its more more accurate in scale, its actually a hair big, but far better than the Black Series R2! The same thing applies to all of the Astromech units, they are all small. I think like the Child, it has to do with packaging, they made them a hair small so they would fit in the standard box.

Saw Baby Yoda in Target recently, and could not believe how tiny it was. Including his floating car seat or a second figure in a different pose are the only things that could’ve made it worth $10 IMO.
My wife is telling me this is a waste of money.
I find that with a few exceptions, these are mostly overrated due to their release in very limited waves (like Ezra and Mace). But the ones that stand out for me are General Grevious: he looks great but just CAN NOT stand up, and Ahsoka: gummy knees and small feet make her hard to stand, gummy lightsaber hilts warp her lightsabers, and paint apps that are just a bit MEH. I think the upcoming re-release will be a vast improvement.
Distribution kills these things. I wish there was a reliable subscription service

Purge Trooper is cool but I can't see paying the prices being asked for it in the secondary market.
I skipped out on Cody when I saw him in a Walgreens back in the day. I thought about it, and sure he looked cool, but clones and troopers are my thing and he just didn't look all that great in my opinion. Firstly, he had the sloppy paint application of the early black series figures. I could nitpick every little thing about him, too. His neck looked too long, his helmet sculpt looked off (maybe because of the paint), the color of orange was off, he didn't have any of the carbon scoring he did in the movie (and like the 3.75 inch version did), he didn't have much battle damage, the shoulder and elbow articulation was weak, he had no removable helmet or extra head, the belt was painted wrong (the orange carries over too far to the side), the hip articulation was meh, and he didn't come with his communicator or Kenobi's lightsaber or both. TBH I don't even remember if he came with his jetpack, but I think he did. I hope Hasbro vastly improves upon this guy for the archive release. Now if they did all of this stuff that'd be superb, but some better paint and new heads would be good enough for me. I agree the old figure is overrated.
I personally really like the Revan figures, and I hope they eventually make the rest of the kotor ensemble in black series.

I avoid buying any 6" SW figures if they're over $25 after shipping and tax on the 2nd market. And I've been very lucky. Patience and always looking pays off. I almost have all the troopers I want for my Vader and Imperial trooper display.

I have to go with the Amazon exclusive Emperor. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great figure, cool accessories and throne but the current amount on eBay at almost $200 isn’t worth it in my opinion.

I have all of these mostly for retail except for Escape Luke (Skipped because boring head on a basic stormtrooper) and First Release Mando (I got the regular release). I also paid after market price for a loose but complete Maul. But all the rest (including the specific community picks) I got for retail so.. can't relate to this list.

My IG 88 rubber joints have hardened and cracked. Rubber is a bad choice. Who knew toys can expire.

This is a common occurence around vehicle toys from the 80s that had rubber tires and similar (it's very hard to find some tank toys without broken treads). You can mitigate it by flexing the rubber now and then to help keep it from 'setting up'.

Disagree with Mace but agree with pretty much the rest of the list. Especially Cody. It's good he's getting an Archive release but he is objectively mediocre. The head seems too small, it sits too high on the neck, he has molded battle damage but no battle wear paint, the knee joints are insanely soft/gummy, the elbow articulation is just okay and he didn't come with the hologram which 3.75" version have come with.
I took a six inch Wedge out of the box.
It showed how awful the black series figures are.
The scupting gets in the way of the joints. The figure does not stand on it's own. One foot looks like it's going to snap off at the ankle.
Give the figures a little less detailing for wrinkled clothing so joints can line up better in various poses, and move unrestricted and the figures over all will be better.
You can learn a lot from 80s GI Joe figures.

I wanted Captain Rex, he's on Amazon for £110 which is where he will stay.
The only figures I've paid more than face value for are K-2SO (for some reason he's been going for £30-£40) and Old Obi Wan/Ben (£39), this one was second hand with box but a few days later a SDCC Obi Wan went up for sale with a unopened but damaged box for less than I paid for just the figure. That was dissapointing.

I agree with Cody being #1. I dislike that he won the fan poll since he's a dated figure, when we could have had a figure who desperately needed a better face, like RotS Obi-Wan. Oh well, I'm sure he'll come again.
In the Philippines, you can get Cody in groups at around 40-60 dollars. It's crazy expensive abroad
Also, I kind of agree with the carbonized figures, the clone troopers, and Commander Cody. But I still like them...and I will still buy them.

Boba Fett is good but I've bought and sold that one twice with both first release and archive. Reason being I have the Mafex Fett (Amazon had it really cheap a couple of years ago). My only ONLY gripe with Mafex Fett is no foot pegs. He stands fine and I hate that elaborate crane stand Mafex gives him. I prefer peg holed feet. Other than that Mafex Fett is 100% a scaled replica of Jeremy Bullock in the Boba Fett costume as he was filming the movie. It's amazing

Lol. Before even the Archive series one came out, I remember seeing that Maul was going for like $100 on eBay, while the Figuarts was on sale at Amazon for around $50, so I ended up just getting the Figuarts, which worked for me because I think the Figuarts is vastly better.

Was shopping around for the one with all the accessories, cheapest was about £60 on the new hope card.
In the end I got the Figuarts for £45. And its bloody awesome and more in scale. 🙂

Well I love Commander Cody and all the Clone Troopers so to me they are not overrated! People just like what they like! If something is popular the price goes up. A person may not like the price to go up but that is just how it is.

I'm primarily a vintage collector. But occasionally something comes along that is irresistible. Like that damn snowspeeder. Last year my wife and I binged on the jigsaw puzzles. We framed 9 of the 1000 piece issues and one 2000 pc. rogue one version which is stunning.

IG-88 will never be as iconic of a character as IG-11. All IG-88 did was “stand there” in episode 5, whereas IG-11 was portrayed in full, 360° lethal badass mode in The Mandalorian.

Most overrated as far as price for what you get? R2-D2 and Han Solo in carbonite. The retail for Han was fair, the aftermarket is stupid and R2-D2 rarely drops below $30 even loose. Others that are highly overpriced are ROTJ Luke (not Wal Mart) and ROTS Obi Wan. Horrible facial sculpts. Figuarts made the best ROTJ Luke. I have the Wal Mart one but just pose it with the robe on. Black Series Anakin is also awful compared to Figuarts.
over a year later and I was able to pick up many of these at retail price. mace, maul, ahsoka I picked up in the past year for $20-25 each. I do agree with the poll on the empire boba fett figure, those front pockets really hinder leg articulation and the fact that his right wrist has a back and forth hinge instead of an up and down one makes it harder for him to hold his blaster right. thankfully the deluxe return of the jedi boba fett fixed all that and is an amazing figure. also a lot of these can be nabbed at bigbadtoystore for retail price now.

Cody was always shit. No hologram, no alternate head. No dirtying, no good paint apps (the oranges don’t match up), and R2-D2 sucks.
Ahsokas price went up when we found out she is making an appearance on the mandalorian. Cool but not justifiable bought a Sabine instead, then watched the price on that go up on Amazon from $18 to whatever it is now???
IMO I think K2-SO is pretty overrated. Not talking about price but he’s so top heavy. I have more problems standing him up straight then I do General Grevious.

I agree on the boba fett one. The sculpt itself looks amazing, but like the weird thigh connector joints he has plus the belt restricting movement just destroyed the figure. I hope they improve on that.
Mace’s robe works much better on Anakin/ Vader because his hair helps support the hood.

Darth maul was a badass figure. I purchased the rerelease for retail price and it’s great. I prefer the plastic cloak even if it can’t pose as much just because it isn’t a dust magnet.

Funny story. Maul and Kenobi were a few of my first purchases from a Game Stop. I just started last December but my wife is cool with me having a vice so I went OD on purchasing. Check my collection out on iG, eF_5ive. I live in a rural area too so if anyone ever needs to trade or needs a new release I can usually send as long as you cover shipping.

The Luke that I got was / is buck toothed and you're right about the box art. I suspect the artist had never seen Star Wars. The Carbonised figures? Defo' agree that Hasbro were after money. The Child? Well there was never going to be much they could do given the size limitations. Defo' overhyped. But Maul is a super figure and happy to say I got the orange line version when it was on sale for half price.

Its not a fanbase overrated but I do thing Hasbro using hype to overrated the creation of exclusives. Fairly new to Black Series and was not familiar with Action411 but looking at the list, Wow!, the exclusive list is almost as long as the regular line. Imagine if they made those more readily available instead of overproduced new movie figures we not being seeing repaint after repaint of figures. Really think Hasbro and Disney need to majorly rework their toy deal because it just feels so stifled compare to so many other lines in the market right now.

With Mace, I think it’s not that his robe is kinda trash, but it’s one of the Black Series figs that has a Jedi robe at all. The SLJ likeness is also far superior to the S.H.Figuarts version. I kind of understand the hype on that one.
In my opinion the SDCC Jabba The Hut is way overpriced. I agree it’s great but not worth $250 - $430 US dollars.
Revan figures are beautiful but I agree, the hype surrounding his name automatically adds some $$$.
Darth nihilus is going be even more expensive probably.

It’s comforting to me that pretty much all the figures form The Sequel Trilogy are worthless in my country, nobody gives a damn about sequel stuff, every store still has a couple of #01Jakku Finn, Poes or regular first order troopers. That is a sign of the legacy or impact that trilogy will have in the future, the Mandalorian on the other hand...
I don’t agree that the clones are overrated, but I think they are all insanely overpriced considering the fact that so many people hate the prequels. That hurts me because I pretty much only collect clones and since their all overpriced, they are extra difficult to get.

I completely agree that cody is overrated; his paint apps suck compared to today, he should have been weathered. He didnt come with any acessories or a head which is disappointing. And his posabilties and joints suck. I think people thought the archive release would fix this and it wont they will just release the same figure again. As an avid cody fan it sucks that his figure is so much worse compared to the other newer ones and i hope that hasbro redoes his figure entirly fixing these problems i mean we have so many lukes, cody can have a second figure right?

I collect based on my interest in the character. I would like to see Delta or Omega get a Black Series release but otherwise hype has no influence on my purchases. eg. I have no connection to sequel characters so those have no appeal. But in my opinion the purge trooper has garnered far too much unwarranted notoriety.

The purge trooper was super limited and almost impossible to get without pre-ordering JFO so I get it. It's also a totally new mold and design.
I think the original Han Solo is overrated. It doesn't look like Harrison Ford at all. Too lanky, good articulation for the time it was released. It's definitely in desperate need for an update. That new Endor Han Solo from what I've seen looks to be the best one yet. Bespin Han is great but that head sculpt seems off to me. That's the only problem I have with that one. 1977 Star Wars Han Solo NEEDS updating.
