Another video where I didn't really have an idea but this one was more because I'm spending a lot of time on the TM mashup and didn't wanna focus on this upload too much - was really unsure if I was gonna even post anything but I really want to keep up the thing of uploading something every other week or else idk how likely it'd be for me to keep uploading regularly at all.
Tokyo Machine mashup is coming along well except for the fact that Tokyo Machine is deciding to release a new song like every 8 milliseconds apparently - will try to add as many as I can. Probably not the Animal Crossing one tho cause that's a remix.

This mashup gives me the idea of a friend crying out for help while lashing out. While I know the original lyrics are “close to me,” I feel it’d make sense in this mashup if they were saying “[don’t get] close to me.” As if to say, ‘please don’t get any closer, or I’ll be forced to hurt you.’ But maybe the final time they say it, have it be “[stay] close to me,” as if to say ‘don’t leave me, I need you.’
Anyhow that’s my stupid head cannon of the day, but to me that makes saving the square boi all the more impactful imo.
Honestly I wish there was a mashup mode in the main game, where you had like a DJ turntable and two tracks on either side and could combine the two for an even crazier bullet hell.

Imo, it could also mean "[I thought you were] close to me." As if they felt betrayed somehow.
Ahh... I'm using this song as boss music in my ttrpg where a kind and powerful ally who saved and befriended the party gets possessed while in a space time anomaly by the God of hatred and destruction and they have to fight him but find a way to free him before his body takes to much damage from hosting the gods power while he's bleeding out during the fight. This song fits the fight to well as everyone loves this npc and doesn't want to hurt/kill him

This would be a scary bossfight for sure, LOVE IT. This gives me so many mixed emotions. With the heavy base and EDM plus the vocals OH FREAKING MAN. This is without question one of the best mashups I have ever heard. You have to make a bossfight that mashes these two bosses

so...can we take a moment to appreciate how utterly SCREWED Cyan would be in this scenario? given that not only are they dealing with annihilate AND Close to me at the SAME time the two hardest bosses in the game, Cube wouldn't even be able to do the whole 'magic triangle power' because they're a little busy BEING CORRUPTED. so yeah, pretty screwed i'd say.

I honestly don't find Close To Me to be that hard... even Hardcore is pretty easy.
