Great vid! Do extra cabs purchased in the custom shop still get the full 3D cab room features, such as the extra speaker selection and Mic placement etc? Thanks!
friend, do you know where on amplitube 5 is the "PHASE" knob for the speakers? I used that option in amplitube 4 to give it a delay and simulate as if 2 guitars were playing but in version 5 I can't find it.
Nope, I noticed it too. The input was running way too hot. Couldn't tell if the overdrive I was hearing was from the amp model or the massive overloading of the input!
It seems like even the old cabs sound better. It must be because of the speakers. The Orange Cab and the Mesa 4x12 is what I use mostly, they do not sound like the ones in Amplitube 3. The Mesa Mark IV sounds amazing in Amplitube 4. I notice they won't let you use it in Amplitube 3 anymore. I suspect it was made for Amplitube 4 technology but was released earlier. I bought the Mesa/Amplitube 4 bundle. I used Amplitube 3 as a practice amp basically, but I have a real Mesa rig I used. Now I use Amplitube 4 in my recordings. It seems to sound better than me putting mics in front of the real thing. Especially in a mix. I like the double SM57 on one speaker and the Ribbon on the other speaker.
+nagol5178 Totally agreed! AT4 makes everything sound better, and it must come down to the Cab Room. I'll admit that I usually used IR's with AT3, but I never do anymore. Good stuff!
You wouldn't happen to know how to midi control inside a DAW would you? I can only do it in the standalone. I read somewhere I have to use it as an AU on one channel in Logic.
+Derek Jones I think they mean they were used in American amps, like Fenders. If you look at the little graphics of the speakers they're definitely Jensens. There is a Sheffield, though. The Metal V 1200 is a Peavey Sheffield Model 1200.
American 12C = Jensen C12Q American 12K = Jensen C12K American Alnico = Jensen P12Q (or R) I actually have a whole list where I obsessively went through all 29 speakers and figured out what the real models are. I think I have a problem…
Sounds really bad. Like really bad. Are you actually using a real guitar or is it something a GarageBand guitar? I've seen many AmpliTube 4 videos and it's really good. Quality

Excellent. You point of new users being lost and overwhelmed is spot on. I was and now I ain't. :)
the best amplitude 4 video by far. Thanks for sharing it

sounds so cool!! I'm getting the Amplitube MAX bundle.
It would be great if you could EQ/compress the different mics separately.
Thanks, the bit about micing the amp had made everything clear for me... or distorted...

Am I the only one to notice the HUGE amount of clipping you had in input AND output?!

Could you advise what computer and audio interface you are using for record this video? Any latency problem in Amplitude 4? Thanks.
It's an iMac 5k with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo. Barely perceptible latency, not enough to bother me at all.
Hi, I wondering what is that button above de mute, on the mix section. It has a cutted circle symbol on it.
Very good video, by the way.
+Igot Cas Mell That is a phase button, flips the phase 180 degrees.
excellent overview!

inside ur DAW should be label preference

Can you MIDI learn mics movements or some thing like this?
Great Vid Man, Subbed!
Thanks!
Thanks for info
I thought that Jensen speakers were Italian, not American. I took the American ones to be Sheffields or something else.

Which Jensens do you think they were modeling?
American 12C = Jensen C12Q

American Alnico = Jensen P12Q (or R)

Tracks In The Box LOL!
Thanks man.

He had the input overloaded massively, and the output, as well. They were clipping much of the time. I'm sure that was impacting the sound.
terrible
amplitube is the best amp sim right now
