- A very enjoyable afternoon spent at the beautiful station of Bath Spa which is located on the Great Western Mainline where we see numerous services from Great Western Railway.
This is a station I will definitely be coming back to.
There are some really gorgeous locations in the Bath area. I'd recommend Avoncliff, where you can film from the platforms or from the canal aqueduct which crosses the line immediately next to the station. Bradford-on-Avon is a beautiful place, and Westbury is also good - you can see the famous chalk white horse on the hillside from the platforms and you might even catch the odd class 59 if you're lucky.
My hometown and still is 24 years later ..
It's definitely very pretty when I was driving through it
Few famouse people do live in bath like Johnny depp , John cleese and few others
Amy Froud I never knew that
Another great video as always. :)
I'm unsure if you've finished accepting questions for your Q&A so I'll ask here.
what do you do to pass the time between trains coming, like if you had a 10 minute wait for the next one etc.
I'm glad you liked it :) I'll either just lean against a fence or mess about on my phone till a train arrives.
5:30 lol i saw that 150 at weymouth
Hey Tornado922, I think you mentioned in one of your previous videos you use a tablet to capture video's? I have just treated myself (via contract) to a Ipad air 2. My question is, do you get many funny looks when using a tablet? I only ask because I can be rather self concious on occasion hehe.
I don't get many looks off people in all honesty. Once they see what I'm doing no one really tends to pay much attention to what I'm doing. It really does depend on where you go to film really.
+Tornado922 One of my favourite places is Carstairs Junction, I haven't been there in ages, I need to get there again now there are more scotrail trains stopping there. Also on my list is the loco hauled Edinburgh commuter, I really want to hear one of those cats in action! and the borders too. :)
It's a shame when I was at Edinburgh that I wasn't able to capture a 68. I would very much like to be able to film more railways in Scotland
Central Scotland has the most rail traffic in Scotland. Glasgow Central being a great station, not just for the trains, but the station itself has a great atmosphere. There is also a day ticket available that allows unlimited travel across the Strathclyde network. www.spt.co.uk/travelcards/day-tickets/
Glasgow is one of the stations I've been wanting to come to since I first started filming
