Spray the top with oil prior to letting rest for the night. Also use a few ice cubes around the bread. Under the parchment or in bottom of oven to get nice and crusty when you uncover for browning
Warm freshly made sourdough with butter is taking me back to my childhood 😊❤ I love it! We always waited about 30 minutes so it was plenty cool, but still warm enough to make the room temp butter melt ❤ omg. Maybe I do need to try making my own Jane 😂
Not every endeavor ends in success. With bread there is always a learning curve. Always remember, if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again. Eventually you will master it. Happy baking! 😊
That bread looks perfect. I'm so happy you persevered. My day 7 starter was miserable this morning, just kept 30g fed 30g whole meal /bread flour, 30g water. 😟Will keep trying for 2 wks, but that's it. Maybe summertime might be a better time. We don't have summers like the US. If we're lucky in ireland we might get 2 full wks of hot sunny weather. 😂😂
The last video, the texture looked really good. They raised and baked beautifully. I'm not brave and temp mine at 190F. I gotta go feed Hermina right now. Yeah, I named mine Hermina.

I’m SO happy for you!! Way to stick with it and coming out successful!!
Good job!! The tapping or knocking on the bottom is because if it sounds hollow, it means it’s cooked inside.
I love the adventure of Jess and Jane! Good job! ❤️
Most everything takes practice, love! The ones who make it look easy, have done it a lot. 😉❤️
They look AMAZING
That looks incredible! I would not have the patience to wait an hour to try it.
She’s a beauty!

You did so good!!! I need that with some butter like now. ❤ do it again....
We use an instant thermometer to see if our Bertha is done. Looks good btw. Can't wait to see Jane's final reveal.

I do not like sourdough I know idk how I don’t but still💁🏻♀️🤗Ive been here for every video and so happy for you it worked🤗🤍
If you want to be sure your loaf is done inside you can insert a thermometer. If it’s between 200-210 degrees F, it is done
OMG! I’m SO excited for you! Yay Jane! Now I really want to try this! ❤(am I crazy for wanting to try this still? 😂)

I enjoyed the Jane Dough documentary suspense film! Finale is finally here! When does the next season start?
Knocking is to hear a hallow sound, to know it’s done. 🥖🥖
You can test the inside with a thermometer
We always use parchment paper
My grandma said the knocking is to check for doneness and they should sound hollow
Genius your not supposed to bake your bread at 475
@rosinaferrante8532 your a real peach‼️🙄
I have seen others temp the bread with a digital thermometer. I believe it should be *200. They look wonderful. 🍞🥪🥖🥐
