We met up with Blake Wilkey in Johnson Valley, CA. to check out his freshly built 1992 solid axle swapped OJ Bronco that he calls "The Bloodshark." We just needed to know, does the glove fit?

Damn this dude can’t stop cutting Blake off. Wanted to hear more of the owner talking about his own rig.
fr
It's funny to me to see someone who will Huck a buggy through the sand dunes at a high rate of speed absolutely crapping his pants driving 3 miles an hour playing in the rocks! Hahahahaha, I love it Blake. Keep killing it!!
Take a drink every time Blake doesn’t get to finish his sentence…
Cool Build, funny to see Blake get nervous offroading, reminds me of my first time wheelin
People don't understand how much more effort it takes to crawl a full size rig like this. Good work guys
I think you'd be surprised at actually how small this generation of Bronco is compared to modern-day suv's /trucks.
@@offroadwarfare9526 i meant compared to a jeep or Toyota or typical buggy build. We wheeled a 77 scout down at hammers this year and it’s a lot different than a typical rock crawler build. With that long front end and being too heavy it’s much different is all I was saying
I wheel a 21 power wagon on 38s. It ate up moab. I for the life of me, could never decide if it was harder or easier to wheel a full size. How much of the effortlessness was the wheelbase and how much was 18 years of experience. Still not sure.
That is such a clean looking rig. You basically built the Bronco that I have been brainstorming for a while. Hopefully I can utilize some of the parts yall are developing. I think I will end up stretching mine about 10" to 12" with longer trailing arms and maybe custom link setup up front. Over the counter radius arms would be so convenient thought lol. Keep us posted as you tweak and wheel it more!
A lot of potential with the 5.8.
Awesome rig! Walk around on point.
lol that was not tippy at all haha. When I take people wheeling that have never been, the slightest angle change is holy crap we're gonna tip over!
If you did want to give it some more power without a complete engine build Edelbrock makes the proflo 4 EFI and put some cheap aluminum cylinder heads (I used Flotek heads) gave me quite a boost in horsepower. And thats keeping the stock camshaft.
I like it a lot!!!!👍 makes me miss my 1995 F-150 I had way back when………
HOLY SPICOLIE!!!😂
I don't feel tardy...
Blake is a absolute fucking legend, super cool dude & is down as fuck
Ive been wanting a front bumper like that for my 96' was hoping they would have talked about it.
It’s desolate motorsports front bumper with some customs parts added
God, my OBS 7.3 needs some lovin
haha I feel like Blake is much more used to racing than crawling
Sick id do thos to my 93 lightning if I could.
Blake be sketching that was nothing we all know you got huge balls
Juice on the loose!
Bad ass build! Instead of having those funky harness bar “triangles” behind the seats, run a tube across on the floor and then two vertical bars up to the hoop. Get the strength but have an opening to keep a walkthrough for the back area. You will roll it and ya never know how many times or from how high up?!
I love this. Where did you get the front bumper set up? I have a 95 and I'm looking for a winch bumper. I'm guessing I'll have to get one custom.
I wonder how helpful it would be to mount a couple cameras to the front end and run a nice size tablet inside so u can see some of what's coming up a little better, just a thought I think it would be nice
Some people do that! Seems to work pretty well.
No full cage?
Anyone know what part number that driveshaft is as he mentioned it’s a factory part from Rock Auto? Thanks
Orentahl would be proud
I’ve got a 1994 Bronco. It’s an O.J. Bronco. Bright white paint, 351, license plate says “NOT OJ”. I would love to be able to have suspension set up like that. But I’m a poor…..
What was that power steering setup
Nice wintch bumper. Where can i get one for my rig?
Exactly what I was thinking, I'm sure its custom but damn, if someone like Desolate would make one they would sell a ton of them
The bride had a OJ Bronco for a family truckster 30 years ago. Sheesh…
That’s awesome! 🤘
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😎
Poor Spicolie couldn't get a word in edge-wise. Big guy needs to learn how to listen!
He said $1800 that’s BS that’s got over $40k in parts.
Just cause companies give you parts for free doesn’t mean they aren’t worth anything.
MmmmHmmm❤️🔥
Thats a beautiful rig, but for gods sake, stop cutting him off. Let the owner talk about his rig, we take great pride in our builds.
When you build cars at your house.. use cocaine and drink. Shit gets done.. 24-7
I wonder how much money he got sueing all his friends
Im wondering if this pregnant fellow even knows who Blake Wilkey is????
I’m wondering if you even know who the pregnant guy is
@@Cstepp yes the pregnant fellow is having my baby......
@@Cstepp😂 👍
The bronco is good, wilkey is cool, but you’ve got to work on cutting him off/talking over him. Painful as viewer
I sure hope Wilkey isn’t a Trumpthumper😂🙁
Yeah it sucks having peace and to be able to afford food and gas
