"Born again" is a definitely underrated album. This is one of the best songs from it. A pure killer track. This unhuman screams makes me shiver again and again. Greetings from germany.
thats the charizma of Gillan that Ozzy never have-this is probably the best BS lineup ever exist (i love Ozzy Era but Gillan is God of Vocal and no one can compare with him). I got luck to be in 1983 on live show of those lineup. Jesus 40 years ago.
It's a great jam on the album. This version kinda kicks it to the next level showing the power of this lineup. It would have been interesting if they could have put out more material, but we all know what happened. Thanks for posting.
Tony's flanger and tone are so radically sick. He must have been so gloriously wacked out with Ian to make such a psychedelic & chaotic era. My favorite in fact.
I'm not sorry about a damn thing, and I agree with you Super Bee, I also bought it when it came out and have never understood the criticism about this album. It's excellent, and if you don't like it move the fuck on. I personally love it, and always will.
I’m new to born again.never heard it till recently.this is a rare masterpiece album.there is no filler and it feels like Ian’s greatest moment as a vocalist..iommi is so on point and the rhythm section is as always amazing.I’ve been born again😀
Gillan does not disappoint here. He takes his breaks and lets us understand that he is just human but throughout and particularly at the end, after the guitar solo, he nails it even as he, again, is choosing his screams and their lengths.
@@jonathanwpressman when I saw Purple in 2002, I was shocked at how well he could still sing. But you're right, the partying and setlist on this tour probably kicked his ass.
This is Gillan's best performance with Sabbath I've ever heard. His voice is strong and tight here unlike some other shows I've heard. Does anybody know what show is this from???
@spudnutsncoffee Why not? Deep Purple's "Child In Time" from the Made in japan (live) album has some of the most godawrful melodic screaming you can imagine.
Where did you get this picture? I've never seen this picture before nor a picture this good of quality from the Born Again tour. Thanks for uploading! Great rendition!
Learn to read. I said "most godawful *melodic* screaming you can imagine." In this context that was in no way a negative comment and I agree Made in Japan is one of the greatest live albums of all time. Child in Time is beyond human. However I don't know why I would bother either arguing or agreeing with a troll. That's the kind of attention loser types want.
U kidding ozzy is/was best singer sabbath ever had for there style of music erry dark sounding voice now Ian made the heaviest Record to date with Born Again
He did 'War Pigs' excellent and the title cut I think. Also 'Rock N Roll Doctor' was awesome w. Gillan, suited his style well. I agree that Gillan butchered 'Neon Knights', but he sometimes did 'Heaven and Hell'...okay/interesting.
Black Sabbath and Iron Man were sung way better. Gillan is a real singer and knows how to add the necessary touch to a song. Ozzy's vocals always sounded weak and whiny to me. Not to sound rude but you must be deaf if you think Ozzy's versions are better.
That's why he left and went back to Deep Purple. He said Ozzy and Dio's styles were not really up his alley in terms of style, but he did what he could with them. I thought he did great on songs like Supernaut and War Pigs. Saw Sabbath in March '82 in Saginaw, Michigan with Dio and at the same venue with Ian Gillan in Nov. '83. Equally good performances. They all brought something great to the plate.

Yes
I think Born Again would be much appreciated had it been properly mixed.

Definitiv mein Lieblingssong auf dem Album!
Best song on the album
I agree.

Qué version!!!!!!! Jueputa, qué álbum, un disco que todo amante de sabbath tiene que escuchar.

Freaking love this song

Underrated album. Gillan’s vocals were perfect for Sabbath.
This rules! Born Again best Sabbath cd ever!
Fantastic song

I've heard that he paid the price for this tour

@@dannymartinez9371 Maybe the parties did most of the hurting :(
O peso da banda quando vem é impressionante. Imagino quem conseguiu ver isso ao vivo, deve ter sido uma das melhores experiências musicais da pessoa!
Just heard the album some days ago, can't stop listening to it. It's so damn good i can't believe some ppl don't like it
Ian Gillan was amazing as Black Sabbath 's singer. 👏
This is Gillan's best performance with Sabbath I've ever heard. His voice is strong and tight here unlike some other shows I've heard. Does anybody know what show is this from???

Impresionante!!
Much much better that recording. Greatness.
Insanidade Total.
Absolutely awesome 😎
Iommi in his prime 🤘
Gillian and dio were great with Sabbath
Fantastic.....
Awesome!! Good quality too!
IAN GILLAN. EL MEJOR VOCALISTA.............AUNQUE SE ENOJEN, LOS ADMIRADORES DE DIO Y DE OZZY.
Sin duda alguna...
Ian blows ozzy off the planet
👍🤘

Behold the power of metal...BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gillan at his peak!
Awesome! Too bad the lp didn't sound this good, lol.
never heard this version yet. where was it recorded?
Worcester, MA
Where did you get this picture? I've never seen this picture before nor a picture this good of quality from the Born Again tour.
Thanks for uploading! Great rendition!
Incredible!
this is awesome dio is my fav but this is next to heaven and hell
He struggles big time in the beginning but he picks it up by the end. This tour must have really broken his ability to scream consistently.
Always heard his voice got roached in the tour; wanted to go see this, but was "detained"😮 had some bootleg stuff if this tour. Album Roxxx
Sadly,
It did. 🤘
Drum riser looks like the Emperor of the Daleks ;)

A-a-a... And then Gillan killed his voice ...
U kidding ozzy is/was best singer sabbath ever had for there style of music erry dark sounding voice now Ian made the heaviest Record to date with Born Again
This is good to you guys? He is having so much trouble. Next time don't play Dr.
He was good when he sung his own songs, but butchered Dio's and Ozzy's songs live.
Not exactly, he sang Black Sabbath and War Pigs excellently.

I think he does Iron Man, Black Sabbath, War Pigs, Heaven and Hell, and Supernaut better than he's doing his own song in this recording

Nada a ver Gillan como vocalista do BS...é um dos piores discos do BS sem dúvida nenhuma!!
BS sempre será Ozzy ou Dio....o resto é resto !
Fantastic!
