This is too much for some people - and maybe the veterinarian wasn't willing to euthanize their dog because of his condition - like veterinarians would insist on doing 20 to 30 years ago . They still should have given him to a rescue if they weren't able to provide with the involved care which a paralyzed dog needed . This is the same reason why families abandon elderly relatives in the emergency room when they start requiring a lot of care . I have seen this as an emergency room nurse . It is very , very sad . There are other alternatives such as having some nursing services in the home or even finding a nursing home close by and visiting them everyday . Unfortunately , many families just panic and dump off grandpa or grandma off at the emergency room .
I remember how the family acted with Dickens, how they touched him, how they interacted with him. I thought then that was not the family for him. They did not hug him, talk to him, snuggle with him...nothing like that at all. Dogs are a part of your family....you love them ♡ I am happy he will find a home with someone that will love him like he deserves to be loved ♡♡♡
Christine White. I agree and thought the same thing - that the couple did not show genuine warmth and caring towards Dickens. The only one in that family who did was their little daughter. She must be heartbroken that her parents have got rid of Dickens. I feel sorry for the little girl that she has such fake, uncaring parents.

I don't even know how long we had him. Maybe only a day or two or week(s). MUCH longer (Eternal Love!) in my little-girl heart than any adult cognition would have even blinked at, I'm Sure. But then one day he was gone and I was told "We took him back to his Mother." On some level I knew it was my Mother who accepted the puppy for me and my Father who said, "No way." Fast forward to age 68. My parents divorced when I was about 8yrs. old and I only had a long-distance with every few years weekend visits. Then I grew into a rebellious young person and rejected everything I felt my father stood for. We were civil, but not close for all of those years, but I loved my Father and he truly wasn't a BAD man and, in time, I understood THAT story so much more. In the end, I was his caregiver for the last 2-years of his demented life and and the love was real and we forgave each other all. Well, not QUITE all. There is STILL a place in my heart that holds a grudge against my father for taking Bootsie away. I have tried to release it, but it stays. "First cut hurts the deepest."

The family called Viktor and told him to come get dickens, they were partying too much to be bothered, they fully understood all duties they were to provide and utilized all the media coverage originally to get attention for their business! The only victim is Dickens

Since this is the only new source I had on the subject - this was all the information I had . The fact that the family who sent Dickens back via airport carrier : 1. were actually the adoptive family who signed on to take care of all his specialized care and needs , knowing them in advance and 2. that they didn't actually abandon him - as this video suggests , was not available to me by facts presented on this video . You must have more knowledge of the entire story from another source - which isn't available on Viktor Larkhill UA-cam subscription channel .

He did say that he was abandoned at the airport because they simply just shipped him back to Viktor by himself after contacting him. They didn't even have the decency to go with him and see him off. So sad to see Dickens run after his family - he knew he was being left when you pulled him back. He must be so terribly sad, my heart breaks for him. He made a bond with them even if tehir with him was superficial. I think the child honestly was bonded and he to her and its a terrible thing to happen. He looked so happy in the video's of when he was with his family and so sad in the airport when they left him. I have my dog because its owner passed away. He is so spoiled and knows nothing of the pain other dogs go through--he is kind of arrogant. But I'm glad he is the way he is and has been loved and I truly hope from my heart, that this beautiful, beautiful dog is able to move on from its loss and find its forever home.

This dog is so beautiful people really need to think more before they get a dog I don't even consider the people he lived with his family because they didn't love this dog like family instead they got rid of him I hope he finds a forever home and never has to go through heartbreak ever again thank you so much for everything you do!
