JESSIE J, WITHOUT A DOUBT IS ONE OF THE GREATEST SINGERS OF ALL TIME. I was a bit concerned because you could tell that she was so very emotional and on the verge of tears as she nears her departure from China that she now considers another home to her. Tears did well up and this time the pause was to regain composure and hold onto her voice. If she weren't so emotional, I think the performance at the end would have been even better because she definitely had an emotional lump in her throat that she had to get past to sing the final notes. All of the performers had to partner with someone on one of their 2 selections. They were not judged on the collaborations, only their solo performance. So when people look up The Singer, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU is the song that is indicated as the winning performance. And there are a lot of salty fans who feel she didn't deserve to win and No one on that show deserved to win more than Jessie J. By watching the backstory in the full episode, Jessie J has shown herself to be so humble, loving, compassionate, caring, sensitive, respectful, and supportive. I really appreciate the reaction and encouragement for Jessie J to be allowed to be herself and sing more vocally substantive songs. Some of the songs on her newer album R.O.S.E. is moving in that direction. Although Jessie J is a songwriter herself, I hope that song writers begin to pen some incredible ballads for her. Did you also know that she broke the record of wins on the 6 seasons of Singer. She is the only participant that has won 7 episodes on a season. Yes I agree she is a DIVA ... 100% ... The seven singers were divided in three groups, and after each group performance, the audience select a winner to move to the second round. The fourth singer was selected by the audience from the remaining four singers. from that first round, four singers get to second round, and this was her second round performance....keep the good work

Live show. No re-takes. I don't think country star Dolly Parton (sp?) wrote the song with the Whitney Houston ending Toms. Great video (with English Subtitles) of the full show available as well as after show interviews. Jessie had tearfully proclaimed at the end of episode 11 that she hated for all of this to end and they should all (Hua Hua, Tengger, Angela and Wang Feng) tour together. The Hunan team must have agreed because she announced she's either remaining or returning to China to do a tour.

Here's the thing, though...I don't know where her acting stops and herself begins. I always liked the character Jessie J, but I never looked behind it to the person. I don't think you can ever really be sure from what they let you know. First of all, the song choice is...you could say perfect, but you could also say it's an obvious pick for a fairwell song. True, you still have to make sure you are cut out for it. Which Jessie J obviously is and she knows that. For many others it would be like an affront. They wouldn't dare. Then there's the pauses. Sure, it could be emotion, her heart condition or even a technical imperfection, running out of breath. I don't know...I'm a cynical bastard, perhaps, but it feels cloying, like only part of the performance. She has done this several times before. For as great as she is - and there is no denying that, many of us have known it for years - you gotta take a step back and realize that this win will likely make her a ton of money by stepping into a huge market that is untapped by the western world. How she even got into this competition is still a mystery to me. That doesn't just happen, there's always a reason. Life is not a fairy tale. Shady moment from Tengri. This competition - as all others - is very manipulative in what it shows you behind-the-scenes.
