1. Never in my life have I seen a Black interior designer and I'm so pleasantly surprised I got to see that here AND she was dope

The space is stunning. The only thing that’s bothering me is how close the table and chairs are to the fridge.

The table is just too big for the spot they put it in.
Same I saw the first shot of it and was like okay maybe they're gonna move it, then they did the walk-through and it was still there. I don't see how she can open the fridge with it so close
Kaileigh Lewis my exact thought process! She did say aesthetic >function though. But for me, being able to open my fridge is nonnegotiable.
RooHue I feel you! And there’s enough space to pull the table and chairs back from the fridge a bit. I L O V E her space; it’s very similar to mine. However, that kitchen layout could defo be different
This is the stuff I watch and I'm like "I'm going to change my life and my home and redesign and live so much more chic!" then I go home and don't do a thing lolol

Wow!! It turned out sooo good!! I loved the floating shelves, entry way, and the bookshelf behind the couch. We stan our sis using another sis who’s an interior designer!! Yasss, Kia!!

Love various ways books were displayed, repurposing of items the client already had, coherent color story, and seems like such an expression of the client's interests and style. Excited to see the rest of the home's decor videos. Designer seems really pleasant to work with.

This is unrelated to this video but I found your videos through first, the tour of the RealReal space in NY, then your thrifting videos made me subscribe. Your overall attitude is so appealing but more than that, you make me more confident in my finding of preloved/thrifted finds. I don't know why anyone would pay full price when you can find something in great condition for a better price (although like you I will admit to buying some things on full price...)- and your lookbooks really bring me inspiration!

Does the interior designer have a UA-cam channel cause wow, this space is stunning!! And I love the color blocking. Having a clean look while not wanting to commit to just one color has been my struggle so I might just try that for my daughter’s nursery 🥰

Its beautiful, but its a little mainstream. Nothing wrong with that, just kinda bothers me when people think its their own personal style. Kinda have to question yourself to see if its just a trend that will disappear.

Once i got gifted a similar cow rug and it felt awful looking at it because you could obviously see it is someone's skin and hair and it felt even more awful stepping on it, the disrespect of it all made me get rid of it. So try to feel the energy in your room next couple of days..

The loft space is great, don't put the chair and table so close to the stove. Consider redoing the kitchen with a Pullman style kitchen made in Germany or London. It looks great.

I loooove that wall with the floating shelves, I'd love something like that. Also, both women gave me great vibes, both gorgeous too~
*Suggestion for the scratch on the table* - Please don't use a wood filler. It will always look dinky and fillers shrink over time. Go Wabi Sabi. Paint the scratch gold (first you sand & prime, then red paint, then gold for maximum flash and depth). Celebrate life's imperfections.

tylerlately depends. Not sure if she owns it, but if you rent you can do whatever, as long as it goes back to the original before moving out. Also depends on what you negotiate with the landlord.

I keep rewatching this. I can't wait for the next part. The only part I would've liked slightly different for myself is the kitchen layout and space. I like how it's not exactly like every other new home decor video.

I aint gonna lie I was kinda worried the way she explained it and not coming in with some illustrated plans but MAN she did the dang thang!!! KUDOS to this sistah! And I love love the neutrals. Sometimes artists need a relief from color to refresh and rejuvenate when it comes back to doing our artwork or creativity. Sometimes the eye and brain need a break from vibrancy. So I get the idea of a calming soothing neutral space to relax in an oasis home. I LOVE IT!!
