I don’t think it’s because of resellers where I live .. I might be one of the very few in my city. My thrift stores are always packed tho and it’s not the younger crowd . I rarely see people my age thrifting where I live 🤷‍♀️

@@JulyHampton the prices of products are mandated on a larger scale by corporations, not individual locations so the # of resellers in your area specifically is irrelevant. Companies like goodwill have realized that people (resellers) are capitalizing largely from their low prices. So they raise their prices and develop things like e-commerce ( a platform where goodwill directly resells donated goods for $$$) so they get a more significant chunk of the resellers profit. (This is just one reason)
