- Caitlin Clark was named the Rookie of the Month for July. Making her All-Star debut as a starter, Clark had a monster month for the Indiana Fever in July recording the 1st-ever WNBA rookie triple-double, moving into first in the WNBA in APG (8.2), broke the franchise record for assists in a season (213), broke the WNBA record for single-game assists (19) and broke the WNBA record for most double-doubles in a season by a rookie guard (9). Clark averaged 20.3 PPG, 12.5 APG and 6.3 RPG in July.

It's easy to forget that we're watching a physically and mentally exhausted rookie who is still finding her game in the WNBA. Absolutely remarkable! Get some rest Caitlin. We love you!

The fact she played the full 40 minutes in their last game vs Dallas was insane after playing a full year of basketball already. I hope they get another piece on free agency next year and Caitlin can play an amazing second year.
Right?! Imagine how much better she will be after the Olympics, with a long break for her to rest and recover!
When I was 22 i could barely drag my butt through a day of pushing paper at an office... I didn't have to deal with travel, media, sponsors, etc and nobody dissected every word and photo of me (on the job or on my own time). She's been incredibly mature and incredibly tough, regardless of her day job.
ppl criticize her for not shooting logo 3s anymore lately or missing shots. but its easy to be burned out from something you kept doing for so long non stop.
I never get tired of watching her play.

An elite PG. Genius level court vision. An elite shooting guard. Moves without the basketball. Deadeye shooter from 35+. A competent and opportunistic defender. An elite athlete . Very efficient, precise movements. Unselfish leader with a sense for the moment and the killer instinct to execute in the moment. Tough as nails. High character. One of the greatest basketball players at any level.

She's never played against a team as good as the Olympic team. That was good for her. She caught up during.
Still, she did great even after the coach assigned players to prevent her from dishing out assists; she still got 10, along with 4 points and 2 steals. Her three-point shots didn’t fall, but I won’t blame her- she’s been hooping for a year and loved to see her enjoy this game. No one has ever been face guarded from 94 feet without the ball in hand. They’ve done this during the regular season, but in the All-Star game?

I just watched half and there just should be no question who the ROTY should go to. CC is masterful and sees way more than anyone else on that court.

Caitlin's 3-point % took a big drop from June to July but her assists went way up and her overall FG % had a slight uptick. I don't think any reporter has asked her or Sides why. Also, while Caitlin currently is ranked 13th in scoring, no one in the top 15 takes fewer shots than she.
she put on weight recently from working out and that can change your shot and you need to adjust, and she has been worn out i think, this break should let her re-energize and come back strong and hopefully gets her 3 ball back.
@@orbitalflux Putting 3# on a 6' frame is NOTHING> She is not focused on 3's. Got to many other iron's in the fire atm. Oh, and how someone can add 3# of muscle in such a short time while playing all these games and very high minutes WITHOUT taking a supplement would be almost impossible. There will be adjustments in the W for sure.

Okay so this will be on repeat until the next Fever game 😆 CC did amazing so far in her pro career, can’t wait to see what she brings after the break. This is a much needed and deserved break for her! Hope her 3 slump fades and she can get back to shooting too besides the amazing passing skills. The best floor general in the league hands down!

Doing all of this at only 22 years old. Just boggles my mind. I just love this girl. My favorite athlete in the world. Never watched a single WNBA game before Caitlin. The only WNBA player I ever heard of was Kelsey Plum. Seriously.

When I was a kid I joined the base ball team in my small town right next to a bigger town. The coach wouldn’t make me pitcher. He made another kid pitcher that just so happened to be ambidextrous so he never had to rest because he would just switch arms. I never got to pitch. I left and went to a team next door. That coach immediately made me pitcher. That season my team won every game and we beat the team from my home town the one I left.

I think a lot of Angel fans aren't aware CC won the rookie of the month in May and now in July. Angel won in June for her double/doubles streak. Yet they insist Angel should win ROTY. We still have August and Sept to go. If Angel wants to be ROTY she better win both of those months.
I hope the Fever watched and study the All Star game and learned how to properly and effectively play with CC.

This is like wacthing a version of Steph Curry play and she's only a rookie... She's gonna be really good for a long time.
Fever always way behind for the first part of the highlights... often ahead or at least very tight games for the last half of the video. That's the best part for me.
If they ran more offensive plays for Clark, they probably would have won a few more games. She’s only averaging 17 ppg as a pro, in college she averaged 30 points per game. THIRTY.

Cc is more effective in 3 point shooting when she catch and shoot than drebling and shoot by herself,upper body balance for her is needed to find more consistent shooting from down town
