Hmm.. to be honest if we're going to omit those schemes and jealousy from the people around them, you'll notice that Di Feisheng and Li Xiangyi have a healthy rivalry, Xiao Di wants to be the No.1 in the martial arts world, and have a great ambition of beating Xiangyi while Li xiangyi is too powerful, too great and too egoistic to care, if not for Shang Gudao's scheme, Li Xiangyi wont be bother to care for such rivalry, that great fight taught them a lot, that a misfortune could offer another chance in life and you could take advantage of it by having a fresh start, other than sitting on a throne while looking down on most people. We all have Yin and Yang, we're not a god nor a saint, and their characters were able to show us that we could do good deeds despite of arrogance and selfishness. Cheers 🥂
