It's a crime that they only had half an hour
Setlist:
1:02 - Re-Education
4:50 - Give It All
7:57 - The Violence
15:04 - Broken Dreams, Inc.
19:56 - Prayer of the Refugee
24:16 - Savior
You're a good man. Thank you.
@@TheOneVandal U R Welcome.
I really wish Make It Stop was here, this song is more relevant now than ever, never fails to empower, inspire and send goosebumps through my whole body.
Love them, their music is so much more powerful than some of the mainstream radio trash getting propped up these days.
Glad they’re still playing The Violence, thought Wolves was a great record
You're a legend for doing this.
I'm so happy his voice is finally coming back
It's crazy considering how weak it got over the past 5-10 years.
@@bluepearl_22 He strained his vocal chords to the top of his chest range for too long!
Gives me a lot of hope for the new album
I think a lot of it was just tiredness, they do a ton of shows/tours. He’s definitely back though, his voice sounds amazing
His voice never left!!!
Tim said he misses the part between songs the most, but I hope they know all of us at home are screaming and cheering anyway
Tim's voice better than ever
WE GIVE IT ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL ALLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #GiveItAll #RiseAgainst Love y'all. Including the commenters. Let's. Go.
Love you
Let's go! But... "Don't hold me up now, I can't stand my own grounds. I don't need your help now, you will let me DOWN! DOWN! DOWN!" (Prayer of the Refugee (19:58))
I can't believe how good Tim's voice sounds here in comparison of past years, this is the result of having a good and nice rest, imagine how could he have sounded if he had taken a break in the Sufferer time
The Sufferer and the Witness era was his peak. 2007 Tim was the best he's ever sounded, by a mile. He sounds better here than he has the past few years for sure. Now if only they could get back to writing songs like they did for their first 4 albums...
@@MrRyanxdavey their song writing ability has definitely gone down a little bit. If I had to guess it’s partially due to being married adults with children and nice houses. Mindset is a little different than when they were angsty teens/20 year olds struggling to get by.
@@taylorgang2237 Yeah, you see it a lot with most bands, it's not like it's just them. RPM, Siren Song, and Sufferer is as good a 3 album stretch as there's been in punk rock.
What happened to his voice?
@@mili20507keku1 watch the live video from "2007 virgin Festival", the way he sang back then was not easy on his vocal chords while touring.
Best performance of the whole 3 days of save our stages
Joe Principe is so damn underrated, his bass lines are amazing and his bass always sounds so heavy and full
I finally saw Rise Against at the Metro! 😅
26:58
Tim’s voice sounds so healthy!
“So much left that IIII don’t know”
Gave me chills!
Tim's voice sounds really good
As like Jared Leto will be right?
Tim Was Really Getting Hyped For Broken Dreams INC. Dope Performance Overall Like Always. Miss Seeing Them Live!
Same
I Can’t blame him, the new song is good. Haven’t stopped listening to it. Miss seeing them live too
Then move on to Prayer of the Refugee (19:58). We love that word there: "Don't hold me up now, I can't stand my own grounds. I don't need your help now, you will let me DOWN! DOWN! DOWN!"
The boys are back and sound greater than ever!! Broken Dreams Inc is a banger and can't want for the new album. Tim's new voice sounds amazing and digging that he's growing the mullet back out! Come back to Jersey when the pandemic is over please!
I cannot wait too.
@eric Dubwaaa It's "they're" dumbass. Go spread hate somewhere else.
@eric Dubwaaa Lmao... mad?
Broken Dreams inc sounds really good live!
And Prayer of the Refugee song as well. (19:58) "Don't hold me up now, I can't stand my own grounds. I don't need your help now, you will let me DOWN! DOWN! DOWN!"
Tim sounds better than ever!
Between this and the Foo Fighters at the Troubador.... I miss live music. F'in Corona. I miss gigs!
yeah, honestly, i was never too much a fan of concerts but live music just feels so much more alive sometimes.
I actually can't believe how good Tim's voice sounds now. Please, keep it in this shape for the next live shows and albums!
Broken Dreams Inc. was awesome! Tim sounding awesome again too!
I wish I could like this a thousand times
I miss them so much I wished I was there!
Been majorly depressed for a couple of months, this made me happy for a bit 😊 miss seeing you guys live 🖤✊🏾
Your respect for this band will grow ten fold after seeing them live.
yes 🙌🏻
Just imagine if you saw them 15 years ago when they were one of the best...
@@MrRyanxdavey I saw them like 5 years ago and they were amazing.
@@travisdelee8647 If you thought they were amazing 5 years ago, I can't even imagine what you would have thought 15 years ago
I saw them 11(Cleveland, OH),10 (Bonnaroo - Manchester, TN), 9( Cleveland, OH), 2 (Denver, CO) , and 1 year ago( Denver,CO).
Never disappointed, and never the same set list.
My older brother drug me to the first show (I didn't know who RA was). Best thing my brother ever did for me.
Thanks Rise Against. We do need to save our stages. Live music will return, and it will need venues to be played in!!
Broken Dreams Inc. would go so hard at a live gig. Hope this can happen soon.
Screamed when Tim said they missed us between songs.
Was so sad when I saw the time they where gonna play, being a EU-based fan, so waking up and seeing this upload made genuinely smile with glee
Same. I love the lads but I didn't really fancy staying up til 2am for it lmao
I JUST completely missed their entire performance! I'm so sad. Glad it was recorded though :D And so happy they're still playing.
Never had the pleasure of a live performance but in these times, I'll take this :) sounding awesome!
It's a must. Seen them several times. Glad Tim is getting his voice back.
Missed the chance to see th at rock on the range in 2015 thanks to appendicitis. While I'd still rather see them live, this was great!
One of the best band ever!
their drummer is so underrated! he has insane feel to his playing
His name is Brandon Barnes
Brandon. My inspiration to play drums...
He’s not really underrated at all though.
@@paddydemps2291 As well as vocalist Tim McGrath, because of his singing voice, sounds like Jared Leto will be right?
This is my first concert at the Metro. I am glad it was RA!
I did a few backflips when he said they were gonna play broken dreams inc.
Balm for the soul. I cannot properly describe how happy I am to hear you guys!
Rise Against has been in my top 3 favorites bands since 2003 when I heard Like the Angel on the Tony Hawk's Underground soundtrack. I was 10 years old. They were one of my first intros to punk music. I'm almost 30 now and nothing has changed! I am planning to get a tattoo to commemorate my love for this band! "The time that we kill keeps us alive" will always be one of my favorite lyrics of all time.
Come to Chile when the virus ends, i saw you in 2017 and hope to see you again
Go Rise Against!!!
Thank you Rise Against. That was amazing.
This might be their best live performance to this day
Can we take a second to appreciate how much better Tim is playing the guitar and signing. I remember watching them some years ago and with exception to the acoustic stuff you wouldn’t often see him play. Now though? Really confident and plays off the band very well. Super glad to see this. Welcome back chaps, you have been missed.
Wow Tim's voice!!!! Just like old days!!!
Your voice tones are just on the point, great voice tim, and the team was incredible like always
They sound so amazing! and Tim's voice tho! I'm so happy that they were my first concert ever. I miss them so much. Rise! ❤️
What more to say. Rise Against is a very influential band that’s always pushing a message and challenging change in government to be better and more aware of us the people to be listened to
Rise Against is amazing man, keep it up
I hope that someday, you could come in Montreal it'll be so nice ! And it is so good to here you again!🥰
Dancing in my room all alone like a teen again!
Amazing guys! Hold on, we’ll all be back at concert venues soon. Can’t wait
Can't come soon enough, hopefully at least we get trump to lose for all the trouble of no concerts
Whilst you guys are on this planet its a world I'll tolerate living in. I started crying at Prayer of the refugee 😂
I can't WAIT to see you back in Melbourne Australia! I'll fill all the silences with screaming whilst holding on for dear life at the front 🤣
Literally the thing I'm looking forward to most after Covid! Thankyou for existing!!!!! 💜
I can't wait for them to come back to Melbs
@@luketanner3057 me too. Will be the best thing to ever happen after covid. I'll probably explode with happiness 😂
So does this mean I can say I saw Rise Against at The Metro?!
Haha! Right?!!
Hell yes!!!! I’m gonna say I got to see them vip at the metro!!!!
@@musicalmusic3353 Fuck yeah brother, I love live streams! I've seen Dropkick Murphys twice in the last year! 😂😂 (Sorry if you use other pronouns besides he/him, I just call everyone brother. It's a biker thing lol)
I count myself lucky to say I did like 4 times as a teenager. Amazing memories of truly killer shows that cost like 12 or 15 bucks
when tickets for bands would run you less than 20 bucks and now were paying 80 for a concert or 300 for a festival :|
Tim vocals are superb! Even on 2020! 🙏🏾
It's at least partially from having to take a break. Touring, for vocalists especially, is brutal. You're singing your nuts every night, cant get shit for rest, scream talking to you fans over other bands playing. It's really rough.
Broken Dreams just sounds amazing *-*
It was astonishing performance, they did great job, love the guys, love their music.
Btw Zach still the same age for all these years. It's some Gwar magic still on him? Haha
Such an important venue in my hometown.
Maybe it’s cuz he enunciates better live so it feels like he’s talking just from heart, but Rise Against shows are always better live! ❤️
The metro was my first concert
Rise Against is my favourite band and I can't wait to see them live. The last time RA went to Mexico was in 2017, and that exactly month I was in Canada due to an scholarship. Such a bad luck, but I hope to see them ASAP.
'Broken Dreams, Inc' sounds so good live tbh.
Such a great performance, even with not crowd in the audience!
Joe back on that J bass I love it
THANK YOU RISE AGAINST!! YOUR ENERGY IS AWESOME, STAY POSITIVE; STAY SAFE!! I HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN IN 2021 IN BARCELONA/MADRID (SPAIN)!!
Can't wait until it's in person
I gotta say this performance is way better than what I expected. Glad to see them back
I Just wanne say THANK YOU
I'm so happy! Thank you ❤️ first time I had the privilege to see them play I was 14. Seeing what all you guys are doing today and how this is going to help people definitely gives light though all this darkness. Thank you love you all!
I think these not even 30 minutes show us once again, how much music and emotions work togheter. This was the most intense show i've ever seen by Rise Against in 14 years of allegiance. You're able to see how important this venue is for them in every single tone.
Thnx to you guys for rising up against and thnx for helping me to rise against all these problems of our society and our world
To me , “ Rise Against's music ” can be characterized as “ fast , aggressive , progressive , relevant , under-appreciated , versatile & power-ful ” ·
If I could try to distill / condense / extract ( the essence , of ) their sound - & then put it , into 7 words - those would be my adjectives , of choice.
However , if I was to use “ compound adjectives ” , to describe their music - here's my choice , of words :
- Fast-paced
- Melodically-aggressive
- Forward-thinking
- Mostly-relevant
- Hugely-unappreciated
- Highly-versatile
- Life-empowering
In terms of musical popularity , they may not be “ the biggest band , on the Planet ” ; but they're certain-ly “ the band , that has the biggest impact , on my life ” .

perfect performance. flawless as always
Your music played an important role in my life, through the good and the bad thank you for all the memories you guys rock! Can’t wait to see you live(in person)
Broken Dreams, Inc is amazing live! Good job guys!
Can't wait until things are good again so I can finally see these guys
@RiseAgainst It's too sad that we scream our lungs out, but it can't reach you. We might not have been there physically, but you have our unending support!
Thank you!!!!!!
They’ve been one of my favorites since I was little. Love you Ash
It was great to see you guys playing live again but I can't wait to actually be there in person. I've seen you every time you've been to LA in the past decade even the back to back nights like at the Wiltern. When you're back I'll have my tickets.
Can I like this video twice?
Tim is working hard on that voice, keep it up!!!
Amazing performance through and through! Never seen you guys live in person but this was one step closer!
Vocals are on point
Love u RS! Really nice performance tonight!! You tha best
So good to see you play live, even if I'm not there. Still brings me way back to when you
played the Paris Theatre in Portland, OR. Fun time watching your set and then also watching you guys
play SKATE inside the Paris after the show with my friend Taylor. Good
times. Love you Rise Against!
Please release Broken Dreams Incorporated!
They have
Come to bali, indonesia❤️
This was amazing, you sound great! Sadly, I couldn't watch the performance live because it was 3 am for me (Europe gang)
I hope I'll be able to see you in person one day
I LOVE them
I love Rise Against but also this is 1st time I see your faces Tim, Joe Brandon and Zach.
This is the first live video of theirs I've watched and I'm just learning that Tim plays the rhythm guitar 😅 I don't remember him playing it in any music videos I've seen
I’m pretty sure he plays it in the savior music video
I missed being able to see when you guys came out to California last year... Wish I had! Hopefully I can try again when things... Get normal 😥
Eu amo RA. Uma das melhores bandas de Hardcore do planeta. 👏🏿👏🏽
Awesome performance, but can we just mention how great the recording / mixing is? It’s almost studio quality,
Such an amazing cause I'm so happy for rise against thank you so much broken dreams live is amazing!!!
This whole set was so powerful and a really poignant moment for me in 2020. There was this whole intense misery that had become normal... partner says, “hey wanna watch this with me?” Nah.. I’m just going to go stare at a wall.
And then I heard the music. And all of a sudden I remembered what it felt like when this music was coming out... young and hopeful. And when I heard the moments of silence between songs - how loud it was without an audience - I felt the tragedy of how fragile everything is.
And today as I reflect over the past year, I feel hopeful once again. I haven’t been to a concert in years, but I can’t wait until we can get back out there.
This set was a massive turning point for me and I’m so thankful for it.
Fucking awesome you, guys!!!!!!
Thank you soooooo much
Counting this (which I think I can) Right?
This is the 7th time ive seen y'all and not once. NOU ONE FUCKING SONG HAVE I BEEN LET DOWN !!!!!!
RA FOREVER THE BEST
Aw would give an arm to see them live in concert
Amazing!!!!🤘🏻😝🤘🏻
Amazing, I hope one day you guys come to Mexico 🙌🏻
