Nintendo has always been more interested in pushing their own software over 3rd party. It's their install base that generally makes their platform intriguing to 3rd parties. The only thing I can say in Nintendo's favor is that they have always been about games over everything else. They've never tried or shown interest in being an alternative to PC gaming.
I feel like that's kind of a double-edged sword discussion of like hardware being held back when we always created games with hardware limitations that Excel astronomically compared to now where games that try to push it to the limit or barely even scratch the surface or quite underwhelming
Spot on
Same thing I was thinking.
Mr Nintendo is always taking fivers from my wallet lol
So long as they keep being themselves, I'm ok with it 😎
Nintendo will live forever, and them thinking about making something more powerful then people thought, it should be nice
Nintendo's approach is very different from others companies... and I think it's healthy for the gamer market in general. I luv my switch and I luv my ps5... but they are waaay different things
I think the reason that the switch was so successful was because it was so different. People usually have a ps/xbox alongside a switch.
I'm gonna need some new IP's...Or an Earthbound Remake in the claymation style. With battle animations.
No worries, Nintendo has at least one new IP every generation. The Earthbound thing though 😬
Wait what? Not a big jump on previous Switch? These guys are obviously not plugged into the reported specs
Yeah it’s weird. I think they have no clue about the handheld market and that handhelds aren’t as powerful as home consoles… for a „cheap“ handheld it sounds very impressive. Sounds like a lot of power for the dollar (if they can hit 399$).
yeah there will always be people like this. so the actually console is gonna surprise them
Guarantee people will still ask about switch 2 details at the next Direct lol
From what the leaks have stated the switch successor has the raw power of a PS4
Cool
More than enough for a handheld, PS4 games are still gorgeous hits. 🤷🏿
With the next pokemon game coming in 2025 people have been speculating that will be a launch title for Switch 2
I really wish we could buy the old games separately again. We can't get internet good enough for online gaming here and paying $50 a year just to play old games that I'm not interested in will not work. (Yes, I am interested in a few of them, but not enough of them.)
Am I weird for being totally ok with waiting for a new Switch? Least for playing games on the OLED model I never get super frustrated with the hardware. For some reason I just have totally different expectations when playing Nintendo versus everything else. On other games I actually care so much more about things like HDR and higher frame rates.
Nintendo needs to fix their views on online games, re-releases of old games from the 90s, and just their whole general treatment of their fan base before I buy more stuff from them.
Man you know you’re not a fan. You are a pc pirate. You don’t buy their stuff anyway. Just your complaining. No one cares. You are not a consumer
I agree... I'll start buying Nintendo again when they actually start pricing their old games at reasonable prices. The most you ever see a game go on sell for is 39.99.... don't let people fool you... they are not for their players.
@chucknorris078 I remember, before the "speculation market" ruined collecting old games, you could find NES games cheaper in a physical copy most places that sold them, than what Nintendo was charging you to get it digitally
@@chucknorris078 The pricing of games has been the biggest issue for me with the Switch. I don't play a lot of games, but if I'm going to be made to still spend $40+ on a game that's like four or more years old, I'll just instead get something for my PS5 (or PS4 before that). My siblings who live in another state wanted me to get a Pokemon game so we could battle together, but the game was still about $60. I know they have a monopoly on their IP's and they're not trying to compete with the big consoles, but they push away us casual gamers as well with keeping things so pricey.
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley 1000%
$500 Switch 2 vs $650 Steam deck oled vs $700 ROG Ally
Im hoping the switch 2 is hardware competitive. If not I hope they keep the $300 price tag
Both hopes will not happen.
comparing PC to Console is just a bad place to start
@@Insanemonk11 why is it a bad place to start? What is your logic there?
@@SSYoung125 they are two radically different things, it's called simple logic
Good discussion
I really noticed the difference when playing Dave the Diver on the Switch and then on PS5. Just fast forwarding through the dialogue, alone, meant I saved a ton of time while playing the PS5 version.
I wouldn't call the fast loading simple, it is a huge deal when you go back to something that doesn't.
Super Nintendo Switch 👌
One thing that i love, i have no clue how/or what the next Nintendo console is going to be
Agreed! Super Nintendo Switch!
Encompasses nostalgia and an improved system perfectly.
The only things i really want is backwards compatibility and more powerful hardware, i dont care if its as visually stunning as pc and ps5 thats not why i play nintendo games, but better load times and improved visuals than the switch would be amazing
The monthly subscription should allow the virtual console to carry over from console to console since they’ll always make some money on it. If they want to scratch that “cash in on nostalgia” itch then they can always continue the hd remaster or remakes.
Now what I hope but know better than to count on is Nintendo keeping a steady stream of good full remakes coming rather than just relying on the hd remasters. They’d make a killing making $40 (or $60 knowing them) full remakes of their greatest hits. Ocarina or Mario 64 DS with Switch or Switch 2 graphics and modern day controls and QOL features would be a cash cow as long as they do it well.
Switch was the first Nintendo console youve ever bought in your life? Oh, my God. How young are you?!
Donkey Kong 64 needs to be added to switch online.
Nothing confirmed till Nintendo says so… all the spec talk is rumor
Cant wait for the swiitch
I hope its like that clickbait thumbnail
Larger screen or a flip screen
Definitely not a fan of magnetic joy-cons. When metal dust and stuff gets on them and then they don't seat properly to the screen there will definitely be problems. I work with metal for a living so I could see me staying away from this one for that reason alone
Lol
Watch Metroid Prime 4 come with a multiplayer suite that becomes the killer app lol
Here we go again, another pc player begging to make all games a call of duty. 🤡
I play ark on my switch nonstop
1:28 what?! That’s a huuuuuge leap… and yeah it’s a handheld… what competitor has a handheld? So how is it a step down? Really weird statements.
Tetris 99 is baws
Bit slow on the uptake :P
Still praying Nintendo fans stop buying their crap so we can have a GameCube like revolution where it was a leader in well everything from wireless controllers to 4 player gameplay
I want Call of Duty on the Switch, doesn't matter if it's the mobile version
Ew, that's garbage game with brain rotting players?? 🤢
I hate Nintendo love the games😑
Whatbias late to the party again.
Can't stand Nintendo... the only company so full of themselves that they refuse to ever put their first party games on a reasonable sale... deepest they go is 39.99. Definitely not a consumer friendly company.
Definitely Nintendo will never put their amazing game in brain rotting society of PC users. ✅
You love Nintendo? Despite them being one of the worst for games preservation absolutely abysmal with mod support. Releasing the same games for the past 40 years. With mild variations....hmmm
I mean the games are still fun. I agree that their game prices staying at 60 dollars for years after and only having the occasional 10 dollar off sale.
That practice is stupid af but at least the games are fun
They're the least of the 3 main "evils" by most metrics. Not every video talking about the general positive of a subject needs to pull from all the negative press associated with the parent company
Agreements aside, making the argument that you know or understand the exact thoughts of the presenters, writers or leadership of the video isn't all that compelling a case for you to make..
Atleast if you own a nintendo game and have a working console you can play the game.... Ubisoft.
Yes people are allowed to like things
Pokemon Zelda Mario..same 3 series
