It’s a shame what happens to Jim in the comics. And did you know Danny Boyle and other people on the team behind 28 Days actually consider the original ending where Jim dies in a hospital after getting shot to be the canon one. It was shown to test audiences but considered too dark by them so they extended it for the theatrical release and later but the makers like the original more and I believe the newest releases of the film actually include that ending.
rob Of course it’s more satisfying, it’s happy. I like the idea of a bad ending though. Much less common. I’d like to think the canon ending is the theatrical cut though. Just wish Jim didn’t get executed needlessly in the comics.
I don’t think there’s really a rhythm guitar besides the little sweeps in the background, so I’ll describe everything to the best of my abilities. The rhythm guitar just has delay on it, might have some compression too. Just your typical boss Digital Delay and compression from the DAW should work for this. Also, it sounds like the lows have been cut from it like a high-pass filter, so lower the bass on the amp, use an EQ Pedal, EQ it in the DAW (which is the best method), or lower the bass on the amp. The lead plucky note guitar part has compression and tons of reverb. Neck pickup with any compressor pedal should work, JHS Compressor is the one I have and the bright switch on the pedal may help with the tone or just do it in the DAW. Reverb most definitely came from the DAW but the Boss RV-6 will do the trick just fine along with any other reverb pedal, just put the mix and decay/length pretty high with a touch of pre-delay. The bass sounds like something from New Order or Joy Division, it sounds like it has the slightest touch of a chorus pedal. As long as you can put the depth really low, any chorus pedal should work. Alternatively, if you have a Whammy pedal, use the Detune mode, it’ll sound pretty close. Hope this helps!
This song represents my attitude toward all the hardships I'm my life.

@@darkvector4125 if you saw this when it came out you'd know.
This reminds me so much of Smashing Pumpkin's 1979.
I also think of the music to the show "The Adventures of Pete and Pete".
Such a happy ending for such a horror movie

@@fagglebag the death ending seemed quite anti-climatic to me. the survive ending felt a lot more satisfying.

AnotherOne Idk not to shit on your writing but I liked the original one more. Short and bittersweet.
AnotherOne And you think you’re the next Stanley Kubrick so there we go mate.
Una de las mejores canciones que me recuerda a mi infancia.
My favorite!
So much New Order in this track
Exactly, is what I think too!
It definitely has that melancholy happy vibe to it
Lots of the cure vibes
as if they knew 25 years ago what life would be like now
Anyone know generally how to get this sound from a guitar (the rythm) like what pedals most likely being used. My tone is dog shit

This isn't the original audio. It's 4.7%, or 5 seconds, slower than the original: 1:46 -> 1:51.
Sounds very similar to Smashing Pumpkins - 1979
