My Mom is 88 and still drives hers, seniors got it going on these days
My mom just turned 90 and realized recently that driving was not a good idea anymore because she couldn't remember where to put the ignition key. However, she still goes bowling and enjoys life to the fullest. I find that age is truly an attitude and not just a number.
My mom was 89 she still was driving till she passed.
Mine too and she drives a Durango! She drives better than me..Only tickets she ever received are for speeding..lol..

Exactly. My grandfather stopped driving at a 88 because his truck was a stick and he had arthritis 😃

It’s a blessing! My father is 83 years young and he still drives his Cadillac like a nascar driver lol. But he’s the best driver ever taught me. I pray my kids and I have his genes. He drives wherever. She looks good for her age!

My Mom will be 87 in August, still drives pretty damn good….doesn’t drive as often, just to church and Walgreens 3 or 4 times a week (don’t ask😆)… she won’t do the freeway anymore, which is good we live she lives off the 405 freeway in Orange County California and it’s not designed for seniors…only thing my siblings and I would love to see her in something a lil smaller, she drives a Chrysler 300, that’s paid for and don’t you forget it😆😆😆😆so she sees no reason to buy another car and won’t accept one from anyone else,,,,, go head Miss Janie!
If you guys do get her a smaller car get a Subaru or Volvo. They have some of the highest safety ratings.

Ricky, I really think it’s great that you take up time with Ms. Janie, I used to do the same with my mother’s friends before they all passed away including my mother. Her last friend passed away on Christmas Eve 2021 and she was 89 years old. I would visit them and call from time to time….. we should treasure our elders, what young people don’t understand is that if we are blessed….we will live to be old one day and would appreciate the younger generation taking up time with us it will definitely keep you feeling loved and appreciated! That right it's important sometimes for us to help keep our Elders updated in technology changes. It helps them stay connected both socially, and connected to their communitys available resources.
Even if they seem resistant to learning something new we just have to discovery ways of letting them see its not as bad as they think. Good job Rickey!
