Not to mention that numbered tabs have long been a quick and easy way for people to communicate guitar music in a written form when they aren't able to show them in person, especially because different guitars have different tones and it can be difficult to decipher individual notes of a chord in a recorded song. But that's okay, I'm sure every creative musician in history just picked the instrument up and started jamming; you're right.
If anyone is interested I now think that the shape stays the same on the 9th, 7th and 6th frets, (or almost the same, give or take a note), and looks like this (using the 9th as an example): e x a x d 9 g 11 b 12 e 0
Can anybody figure out what Mac is playing over the A chord in the verses? It's obvious that they are based on the 9th, 7th and 6th frets, but there are no tabs online and I have been struggling to get it sounding exactly right. So far, I have the 9th and 7th fret chords looking like this: e - - x a - - x d - - 11 g - - 10 b - - 9 e - - 0 e - - x a - - x d - - 7 g - - 9 b - - 9 e - - 0 I can't quite figure out the 6th fret chord yet.
Cool song by a great band. Thanks for all the chording input but on the album...hey, it's a pretty straightforward rocker. Don't get too caught up in the technical stuff. Just blast thru it and tell your drummer to stay crashing.
@TheUmfundisi I don't know what your point was; are you antagonising me? I write music too; I was trying to get some friendly advice so that I can play a song I like.
Listen to it again and again. Great acoustic rendition of a fantastic song by a severely underrated enormously important band. Thanks!
It's the best version of one of my favourite songs by one of the most underrated bands of all time.
I heard the acoustic version first (not this one) and just feel the pace fits the text better
I can't wait to see them on Thursday. I love the vocals so much! Thanks for posting this.
❤

I gotta sleep but my brain ain't tired/I smell smoke from electrical fires/don't touch me I've got/crossed wires, crossed wires
It looks remarkably easy, just listen and play what you hear.
