I really wish we had weekly shonen jump magazines here in England, it looks so fun to make it a routine of purchasing a magazine once a week and catching up on all of your favourite manga!
I have now been to Japan twice and got me hooked on ramen. Just returned and counted I had it 18 times including Kaedama. Tsukemen is my favourite although I fell in love with Cold Soba this time round.
It’s not as good here in England - where only London has specialist ramen shops and a bowl plus sides is twice as expensive compared to Tokyo.

I think ramen is so delicious. You are lucky to eat ramen in Japan.
Ramen is Chinese in origin, from the Chinese word lamian, which means pulled noodles. The authentic version is in China. It was the Chinese immigrants to Edo Japan that brought this dish over. Initially it was called Chuka soba or Chinese noodles. Later, as usual , Japan just slaps their “Japanese” replica brand on everything they copied from others. The lamian in Japan isn’t even hand pulled like in China. Visit Lanzhou and eat their real authentic hand pulled noodles. That’s what lamian really is, pulled noodles. Ramen is just a Sino-Japanese pronunciation of lamian.
Japan, Korea and Vietnam are collectively called the Sinosphere. Japanese culture is a replica of the Chinese Tang Dynasty culture. Google search for “Japanese missions to imperial China” and “Japanese missions to Tang Dynasty”. Hiragana is cursive Chinese. Katakana is partial Chinese. Kanji is Hanzi or Han Chinese characters named after the Han Dynasty of China. Google search for “hiragana origin chart”, “katakana origin chart” and “CJK writing system”. Noodles, dumplings, rice, rice wine, rice noodles, hotpot, chopsticks, tea, matcha, tea ceremony, soy sauce, bean curd doufu (tofu in Sino-Japanese), miso, paper folding art, penzai (bonsai in Sino-Japanese), lamian (ramen in Sino-Japanese) meaning pulled noodles, char siu (chashu in Sino-Japanese), sushi eaten since the Han Dynasty of China, koi fish, cherry blossoms are all originally from China. It’s just that Japan loves to slap their “Japanese” copycat brand immediately on everything they copy. Hanfu or Han Chinese traditional clothes from different dynasties influenced Sinospheric nations’ traditional clothes, including kimono. Nara and Kyoto, capitals of the Nara Period and Heian Period that were contemporary of the Tang Dynasty, were built based on the layout of Chang’an, modern day Xi’an, the capital of Tang Dynasty and also capital of 13 Chinese dynasties including the Qin Dynasty (where the Great Wall of China and Terra Cotta Army were first built) and Han Dynasty. If you want more hospitality and the authentic original culture of the “Japanese culture” instead of seeing replica Chinese architecture styles in Japan, pay a visit to Xi’an and Luoyang, the capitals of the Tang Dynasty which became “Japanese culture”. China would certainly not kick out foreigners for just wearing Hanfu or taking photos of people wearing Hanfu. In fact, you should check out videos of foreigners who recently go to Xi’an, the Tang Dynasty capital, and see them wearing Hanfu and posing pictures of other Chinese wearing Hanfu and being very friendly.

There is lot of delicious foods /cuisine out there other then curry. I glad I was born in a country where I can easily enjoy my local food and many country like Japan, South korea, Taiwan, America, china and Thailand cuisine easily. You should try nonya curry and singapore/Thailand curry. It nice too.

Eu sempre que vou cortar cebolas para não chorar 😢 😢 😢 😢 😭😭😭😭😭 eu corto a cebola no meio e em seguida lavo debaixo da torneira da pia e com uma faca 🔪 eu vou raspando o cada lado cortado até sair aquele visco que está presente no meio da cebola quando eu faço isso eu evito o 😢 chorar....tenta pra ver se vai dar certo.
