I totally understand this ❤ you are one of the first dolly people I met in person ___ yrs ago , you have always been so kind and radiant and I hope this journey brings you so much happiness ❤
Yeah, I never really got the "completionist" vibe. Collecting for me is synonym of selecting from the pool what I love the most and get it. If it means a whole line, well... But it has never meant that for me. I'm glad you're prioritizing yourself over the harsh schedules and implications of being a "content creator" nowadays. Hope you can enjoy collecting again far from all the social media noise. :)
Elvira, Thank you from the bottom of my soul. I’ve been feeling this way about my doll room for a while. I’ve been watching your videos for years and feel like I really needed to hear these feelings from someone else to give me that little boost I need. I’m gonna sell most of mine, too, starting tomorrow. Thanks for all of the fun videos, over the years! I wish you the absolute best of success with your health!
It’s so funny that you posted this, lately I don’t have the same feeling enjoy about my doll collecting. I feel like there’s an emptiness there that is no longer being filled by my collecting. I’ve also started getting into other things, such as quilting and sewing, which I really do enjoy. I also have a small soap company that I had to let go during the pandemic. Now I’m starting up again. so, what I basically started doing was just donating a lot of my dolls to other doll collectors, who are just starting out collecting or just reaching out to people and donating dolls to them. I would love to sell them however, I just don’t have the time or the energy. But I love that you’ve posted this.
I have started then got rid of them then started my doll collection so many times throughout my life, My main advice would be to depending on the dolls ur getting rid of make sure you TRULY dont want the doll cause I have HUGE regret coming back with some dolls that are so much more expensive on the after market lol Your new collection is so cute! Im shocked you were only focusing on dolls, most collectors also collect anime figures, plushies, other figurines etc at the same time.
I feel you 100% lately i ve been feelings the same way I think we been through a lot up and down with the community but after the scalpers came to the game. i feel like it has made us buy dolls just because we are afraid of loosing our opportunity but deep down we don’t even care for them ones we open them and they just go to the shelf to collect dust.
I agree with you so much and after losing as many dolls as I did, it made me reevaluate the importance of doll collecting too. I now only collect what I absolutely love and try to replace what I'm absolutely devastated by. Everything else is unimportant and we definitely should focus on whatever it is that lights our soul aflame. I wish you so much hope and love for your medical journey. I genuinely care about your well being and wish you nothing but the best💖💖
I have really enjoyed your channel over the years. I loved the way you dressed up as different characters, and your doll reviews were great. I wish you all the best for the future.
People do what they want, it's up to you to let things go or not! I am a newish collector so would have loved to hear how things changed the past 10 years. It's always interesting to know the history. I never was a completionist and just pick the stuff I love. Also, I need time to enjoy my stuff so I can't collect too fast. Do what makes you happy! Wishing you all the best!
💜 It's so good to hear you chat about things and to know that you're not leaving the doll community, just scaling back your collecting so that you have time, space & funds for your bead passion project business. I love The Doll Circle for the focus on community and will look forward to any doll videos or related videos you make in this new chapter of your life 🌟
I find this so inspiring. I realized I had a shopping addiction when it came to dolls and miniatures. I really sold off a lot and assessed exactly what dolls I want to keep and collect. Its been narrowed down to focusing on small dolls like cocoriang and kumukuku bjds, Azone international Lil Fairies, an Azone Pure neemo every so often and only 2 smartdolls. Then my focus is more on making, making little roomboxes and displays for my little world. Its more cost effective and fullfilling for me rather than just buy buy buy. It feels like a lot of the community has been going in the overconsumerist direction rather than the "I like this" direction. So I really understand this, I think you need to do whatever makes you feel happy and fufilled. I follow you because of you, so whatever capacity and collection and obsession that is I am here for it 😁
I think it's so smart to make your new passion your job and make money while you are at it. I agree as time goes by we shift and become overwhelmed then move on to the next thing lol 🤦🏻♀️. I've been slowy phasing out my doll collection since last year and only keeping what I really love instead of collecting the complete doll series. I hope your new endeavors bring you happiness and money income opportunities. ❤
I totally get where you're coming from, I think a lot of people are starting to feel the same way now. I know that I haven't bought a doll since last November, the cost living hasn't helped at all.
That's an interesting plush, very cutesy with a cool eye gimmick. I can relate to this. We're not the same people we were years ago. Our lives and other circumstances can change. We find new interests and might need to free up space for those endeavors. I have 15+ years worth of dolls and I like what I've collected but finally got to the point where I was overwhelmed by the amount. Even though I tried to be pickier this year when I actually wrote down what I bought it was still a lot. I still plan to collect but I want to start a low buy journey with some stricter doll budgeting rules, to let more things go, and to display my collection in a way that I can better enjoy it.
I get this too. We go through ebbs and flows in life. I haven't been super involved in the doll community since Monster High shut down the first time. The big dolls I have bought are Barbie Movie dolls and Wednesday Addams dolls. I have moved over to PopMart and collectible figures and things like that. It makes sense to be excited about new things. I just hope you are always okay and in a good place. Happiness means more than anything in this life.
I've always loved making Beaded bracelets and necklaces and other things. I never knew their was a bead community. I know theirs a crafting community and similar on UA-cam. I've always been a crafter and I'd love to watch your bead videos
I really respect your honesty. The fact that you took the time and effort to share with all of us your current situation when you easily could have just cut your channel says a lot about you. I am happy that you’re keeping your channel and I wish you the best of luck and happiness in your future journeys. ❤
My collecting focus changes sometimes.. month-to-month.... Right now for some reason I'm obsessed with finding obscure hello Kitty figures... But I do still adore my other collections... I tend to have sessions where I just admire them... Love what you love because you love it not because everybody else wants you to love it....good luck on your journey ❤️
You said exactly what I have been feeling the past couple years. The doll community is completely different now. It used to be amazing and positive. I was in the original MH community when they first came out. Now, it is hard for me to even look at my MH dolls because I always associate them with the negativity of the community. Even Barbie is not the same. its the whole doll community. Its like Mean Girls. I was thinking about selling all mine again. I am also into beading so I will be joining you. :)
Aggressive and competitive men destroyed the doll community from picking fights, to turning the doll community into a pissing contest and constant bitching for views. I don't care what they identify as, most of the BS in this community comes from men.
@@chemical_bride 100% The collectors ARE the resellers. Life In Plastic said, "How else do you think I support my hobby?". Yet, people are still up his ass. I've always loved making bracelets and necklaces for my American Girl dolls. You should make jewelry for your dolls and do beads inspired by different doll lines
This is the first time I’ve clicked on your channel. Really appreciate your honesty, realness, and your upbeat personality! And, it is totally okay, and healthy, to have fun, and a passion for more than just one thing/hobby!
it's so good to hear from you, you continue doing what u love and balancing everything out while u can and also make time for yourself, that's what matters most but i love seeing your podcasts whenever u get the chance take care and, stay safe over there until next time.
I am SO happy and grateful for your honest videos. You are a wonderful person as many are in the doll community. I also used to LOVE creating doll content so I could make relationships with people that I never had in my personal life. I also do not agree with where social media is going nor do I feel the importance of my presence on social media as often. Turning 31 this year and being put in a rough spot in my life has really made me focus on many other aspects. I love watching doll content constantly and I always live for the new leaks and doll drops. I just don’t feel the need to share that excitement as often online anymore in video form. I am so happy that you are on your bead journey!! I still love all of your content, and I’m so glad you are still sharing after all of these years! Xoxo, Colin
Hey from Australia chick 🤗... started watching since the days of you, and was it Chad? 🤔 Loved you and Robyn and remember when she did her "doll cleanse" Look after yourself and remember, you are stronger than a diagnosis. Much love ❤
This video resonated with me because I too decided to sale a large part of my collection. I love all kinds of dolls, but my world is shifting to making crafts. After 20+ years of collecting, I'm just evolving into something else. I will keep a few of my dolls, and still purchase dolls, but be very selective. I've made peace with it. I enjoyed my collection. Its not easy, it can be sad and now on to other things. I wish you the best! ❤
I’m sorry for your health issues. I’m in Canada where our healthcare is bad, but at least it’s free. So, it’s great you found something that you enjoy and hopefully brings more money. I am happy to hear that you will still be doing the podcasts because I do like to hear your opinion on new things coming out. I do also think relative to collection size that it can become so large that it sinks under its own weight (physically and emotionally). It would be different if we actually had rooms of space with beautiful display cases, but very few people can afford that. So, I think that whatever the cut-off is (probably a few hundred, at most), focusing on your curated favourites can actually bring more enjoyment. Also, of course take photos and save the videos of your sales so they become a memorable experience. That way you will always have the memories of the dolls.
Thank you so much for sharing! Just curious- how do you decide which dolls you’re keeping and which ones you’re getting rid of? Would love a video on the topic if you feel comfortable taking about it. 🩷
I feel very much the same. I have a room full of dolls, not as many as you do, but I still have a lot and I decided to stop buying them a year ago due to not being not as excited about them anymore. I was a huge Monster High fan and I just don’t feel the same about them anymore, I haven’t for a few years now, mainly since they changed the look of them. I’ve also been going through medical problems since mid 2022, so I can totally relate. This year I’ve been focusing on my health, working and I’ve really got back in to gaming and reading fantasy and sci-fi novels. I’m really enjoying it. I still watch your channel as it still brings joy, even if I just go back to your old videos.
my doll collection has always been moving, when something new comes in something old has to go. but a lot of my dolls give me good memories like the one given to me for chrismas, the ones my mom has given to me with love i will never let go, and i think if there comes a day i need a collecting break, i think i will pack it all away, because i know with my self it will come back, and i don't want to start all over. but i wishing you all the best with your decision and new life, and i hoping you are making the right one.
You are real and fun, i love to check in every now and then to watch your content here on youtube. You do what feel is right , but do stay on youtube 😉
Love your channel. Wishing you the best on your new endeavors. And sending you healing, if that is needed. Your fans, myself included, are excited to see all you will do next 😊💗🎀
I feel this … for real iv known of your channel since the beginning you were one of the originals for me … who id get my monster high fix from when times where purely for the dolls and not just hundreds to get your hands on one … for me the end was gen 2 monster high as soon as that got cancelled i lost hope for the fabulous series that brought me and so many others joy including ever after high, rainbow high and bratz for most of you … it kind of makes me happy to hear that im not the only one falling out of love with these new questionable and unnecessary changes to these franchises and its all down to change in the doll world todays world and just the fact that they make it more for kids and then make dolls cost a bomb for adults and your are seeing trough it and realising that there is more to life that can bring you joy without being tricked with nostalgia … its a sad situation for us all but I really understand what your saying and I hope you go far with your beads … please keep us updated on your thoughts in the future and how your feeling with your new change . Lotta love from UK 🇬🇧
I’m so glad you’re doing a bit better and you’ve found a new passion in your life 😊 I understand what it’s like when things change and it’s a bit overwhelming, but you have to keep going with a smile on your face 😌 It’s been so nice seeing your joy with your new bead and figure journey, so keep on going strong with them 😁 Keeping your mental energy positive is so much more important than buying a new doll, just because everyone else is doing it 🫤 So please keep getting better, Elvira ❤ we love you and are always here through this together with you, even if you don’t realize it ☺️ I’ve watched this channel for so long that I can’t imagine what things will be like if you weren’t uploading your cool videos 😍 I love all of them, all of your stories, and seeing your friendships grow stronger with others on here. Many blessings to you ✨💖✨
I definitely understand. I hope your well❤ I recently downsized my doll collection. I still am happy with Barbie mostly but I have become very picky. I will try to get to shows as I would love to support you and add some more but financially being responsible 😅 right now. That part is not so fun.
You need to what makes you happy in life. I know what it’s like to have health challenges I am waiting for surgery at the moment. Sending lots of love xxx
I have dolls but not loads of them. I have the ones I like, but didn't collect everyone of them, partly because of space but also budget and also because I don't like every one of them. But I can see all them as they are on display. You shouldn't feel obliged to keep this going if you don't want them, I have sold some dolls that I no longer needed and have no connection with.
When my Dad announced he wanted to sell our house we lived for nearly 20 years it triggered me to start selling all of my My Little Pony collection that included all the Build a Bear plushies and MIB Equestria Girls to prove myself. I’ve yet to sell most of my Monster High collection to allow myself to only keep my celebrities out of the box, StarWars and Disney doll!
All my life, people have seemingly hated commercials. Commercials are to be skipped. Go to the bathroom. Get a snack. Nobody wants to watch them. We've now become a society where people ASPIRE to be "social media influencers" AKA NON-STOP COMMERCIALIZED CONTENT. People don't buy things because they want them anymore. They buy them so they can be the first content creator to feature the items for maximum views and engagement. It's just gotten so gross. People need to get out and do things they love, rather than sitting on a computer, or phone, watching people selling them stuff they don't need.
I wish I could afford the collection you have. Makes me wish i could buy your dolls. I have only done a few things on whatnot but can't afford the dolls. You were the first doll UA-camr I watched since 2016, and you made me nostalgic for them and got me crazy for rainbow high. I've missed the doll reviews tho. I actually missed a doll show in Florida cuz i couldn't afford to even enter the door. So I definitely understand this. The pullip dolls especially i would have loved to own that you found at Tuesday morning. I wouldn't have known to doll hunt there if not for your videos.
Transitioning can be hard but fun at the same time. I’ve seen the large bunny you got and actually tried getting her, but she sold out. I’m interested in those also and have considered getting some. I love bunnies and teddies. I am still getting dolls, but may change the type of dolls. I love them, but not the fighting for them. I’m sorry you’ve had some physical things going on and glad you continue to improve. I’m happy you are enjoying your new business. I’m thinking of starting a business but it’s totally different from what you are doing. At first when I saw your video, I was upset, but then I thought that your happiness is most important. I’m looking forward to seeing anything you video here. Take care sweetie 😊💗
I don't sleep well either Doll circle I've been Dailey vlogging every day in November and I talk abóut dolls but I also show me crocheting and sharing my life with chronic illness às much as I can. My channel over the years has changed and I still do doll stuff.
Years ago, I loved 1/3 BJD dolls with a sexy or mature vibe. But now, I hardly touch them anymore and have shifted to liking smaller 1/6 dolls with a cute, adorable, baby-like vibe. Maybe it’s because I’ve gotten older and have a baby now.
I’d be so sad to see you go, and I don’t think you should. Try not to internalize everything. Maybe take a little vacation and come back whenever you’re ready, so you don’t put too much stress on yourself.
For me 2024 I thank God for my dolls because they helped me this year since the death of my special needs sister in January. The American Girl books manly the historical books they helped me so much. I love American Girl if I could give pleasant Roland and Valorie Tripp a hug í would not let them
Good vlog 👍! I totally understand that things change & we do too of course and that's ok it's part of life 😃 I like your new collections & your passion for them 😎 I've always been a collector & remember collecting so many different things over the years & I too have transitioned like past few years I went from AG dolls to Funko Pops & now Barbies & RH and who knows what will be next 😂 Whatever brings you joy is what you should be doing & always do it for you only since you can't make anyone else happy except yourself 🤓 I'm looking for my holy grail doll so I will message you to see if by any chance she's in your collection 🤔
I have always enjoyed your content. Thank you. And I think it is okay for your interest to change and to shift. And given the popularity that “art toys” and blind box toys are having recently, I understand this. I too ma collecting both dolls and art toys. And I am okay today admit that even when I know I started with doll collecting. But to make it sound like “how the community is so negative that I’m now shifting to other stuff” sounds like you’re just trying to justify the shift by putting the “blame” on the community. Yes! There is some negativity, but is also so much creativity and positivity and you just have to look at it and take it both ways. That left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m unsubscribing. I would have really appreciated if you honestly said that your interests have now shifted to more than just dolls. Anyway, if that’s what you think… Thanks for the great videos you’ve made. Good luck to your new journey.
Her interests have changed. No need to be rude!!! It happens; people change, their interests change. Besides, she said she has new interests now. And those make her happy. Buying and selling is a big part of collecting, anyways. Lots of collectors do that; sell something from their collection - something they no longer love/need or something they regret buying - in order to pay for something new that they really want.
I totally understand this ❤ you are one of the first dolly people I met in person ___ yrs ago , you have always been so kind and radiant and I hope this journey brings you so much happiness ❤

Society and the world, as a whole, have changed so much in the past few years. There's kind of a dark vibe to life now that wasn't there before. ♥

You have a wonderful personality that really shines. I would totally watch you vlog content if you started posting that. 😊
Change is good!!! Wish you the best on your transition 🙏❤️
Thank you so much for sharing! Just curious- how do you decide which dolls you’re keeping and which ones you’re getting rid of? Would love a video on the topic if you feel comfortable taking about it. 🩷
I wish I was as decisive as you are, hopefully I grow out of collecting
Thankfully, for me, the releases have actually felt less stressful than they were before. It makes me ease up trying to get every doll that comes out.
Good luck to you, Elvira, in your new journey!
Thank you for sharing with us. I relate to this sooooo much! I wish you luck and happiness on your journey!
my doll collection has always been moving, when something new comes in something old has to go. but a lot of my dolls give me good memories like the one given to me for chrismas, the ones my mom has given to me with love i will never let go, and i think if there comes a day i need a collecting break, i think i will pack it all away, because i know with my self it will come back, and i don't want to start all over. but i wishing you all the best with your decision and new life, and i hoping you are making the right one.
I agree with you the doll community really isn’t what it used to be 😔 if not for my dolly friends I would delete it all.
Good for you! And good luck.
I’m so glad you’re doing a bit better and you’ve found a new passion in your life 😊 I understand what it’s like when things change and it’s a bit overwhelming, but you have to keep going with a smile on your face 😌 It’s been so nice seeing your joy with your new bead and figure journey, so keep on going strong with them 😁 Keeping your mental energy positive is so much more important than buying a new doll, just because everyone else is doing it 🫤
So please keep getting better, Elvira ❤ we love you and are always here through this together with you, even if you don’t realize it ☺️ I’ve watched this channel for so long that I can’t imagine what things will be like if you weren’t uploading your cool videos 😍 I love all of them, all of your stories, and seeing your friendships grow stronger with others on here.
Totally get it! Do what makes you happy 🎉
Im glad your honest!!! I love your new passion, ive been into jellycats this year, not letting of my RH dolls yet, still have hope hehe 😜
I love your new beads creations and your new plushies are adorable 😍🥰✌️
And please always feel like you can talk to us. It is okay to talk about things as long as you are comfortable.
Nommi series is soooo cute, Nommi Garden Rabbit Series and Nommi Loveliness Never Ends Series, and Nommi Good Night Bear 400% Series on kikagoods
I hope your health is getting better soon ❤
Ive always gone through buying and letting go of dolls. Its just natural to me
It is great though that you are just sticking to what you enjoy :) Also those plush dolls are adorable 🥰
Sorry to hear about your health my niece just had to have a blood transfusion she has lived in Florida the last few years she is 25
Take care of yourself ❤️🩹 bless you
I’ve been missing late 2000s/early to mid 2010s UA-cam lately. I miss the style of anime reviews, vlogs, and toy videos I used to watch.
@@karasuthedreamer6353 me too
Years ago, I loved 1/3 BJD dolls with a sexy or mature vibe. But now, I hardly touch them anymore and have shifted to liking smaller 1/6 dolls with a cute, adorable, baby-like vibe. Maybe it’s because I’ve gotten older and have a baby now.
oh dang, i'll miss your doll vids, but i DO want to buy your EAH collection :)
I hope these dolls go to home who will appreciate them
That plush doll is so cute. I really like those circus dolls from kika goods.
Where can i buy the dolls?
I’d be so sad to see you go, and I don’t think you should. Try not to internalize everything. Maybe take a little vacation and come back whenever you’re ready, so you don’t put too much stress on yourself.
I understand this so much. 😅
Hi I understand I sold most of my barbie dolls because I really like bratz more ❤❤❤
Your bunny plushie doll eyes are so cool
For me 2024 I thank God for my dolls because they helped me this year since the death of my special needs sister in January. The American Girl books manly the historical books they helped me so much. I love American Girl if I could give pleasant Roland and Valorie Tripp a hug í would not let them
I’ve been watching u since I was little I hope your health gets better and I’ll try and buy your beads
who is the redhead doll at 6:06?
keep the ever after high ! 😢
How can we order
You'll always have the video posts to look back on. As humans, we evolve.
I feel the same with My little pony but i cant sell .. i have so hard for it. But i have not feelt love for them in YEARS
Will there still be doll podcasts? Will there still be the doll awards?
@@josiedungeoneer yes, podcast and doll awards, I couldn’t do it without Jonny and Cloe. They are the rock of both shows.
I HOPE YOU DOING BETTER I DID WEED OUT HALF MY DOLLS NOW IM NO LONGER HOARDERING DOLLS IMNO LONGER BUY DOLLS LOVE DAVID😀🥰😀🥰🥰🥰
What’s gonna be your new channel title? Or is it gonna stay the same??
i love your video i hope your doing ok
if u want to sell the RH doll, i would love to buy some of it that I haven't have pls 😦
Anyway, if that’s what you think…
Thanks for the great videos you’ve made. Good luck to your new journey.
Make labubu content ❤

6:34 please don't stand on folding chair 😧🙀 get a small ladder
People now compare dolls its sad 😔
What is wrong with you?? Why do you sell your dolls just to buy them back?? 🙄🙄 When you are a collector you are a collector. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Her interests have changed. No need to be rude!!! It happens; people change, their interests change. Besides, she said she has new interests now. And those make her happy. Buying and selling is a big part of collecting, anyways. Lots of collectors do that; sell something from their collection - something they no longer love/need or something they regret buying - in order to pay for something new that they really want.
you should go on just trish ! 🥹💖
