At first, I wanted to make a recap video in time for the premiere, but then something came up and I wasn't able to finish it. Which worked out okay since I got to weave some snippets of S6 in the last, like, 10 seconds of the video. I thought it would be extra dramatic to put Monty's parting words at the end, but paired with scenes showing that they're obviously not going to "do better there," lol.
Anyway, around the first half of the song, I go through an extremely vague and quick recap of the seasons, trying to bleed each season into the next. And then by the second half, when Octavia says "we've been here before," I went into a thematic video about the darker side of humanity. Because that's what "Book One" was always about. War. Death. Human cruelty. Survival.
Etc, etc...
But maybe this next season will be different. Maybe while they were asleep they learned better conflict resolution skills.
Anyway, sorry the lighting is so dark. I forgot to adjust before uploading because I’m stupid. But, yeah, I have a love-hate relationship with this video. It's been sitting in my projects-folder for over three months (also, yes, I uploaded and then deleted this with a quickness a while ago just to re-edit three seconds of footage). I struggled a lot with an ending, especially since S6 started before I could finish it. But, still, I'm okay with how it turned out and I really hope you guys like it.
