Discrimination of knowledge in terms of belief system from where it originates deprives it of its true potential. It is we who are at loss, not the belief system or the knowledge. Knowledge shall find its way to its true heir, no matter how many or how few they (the heirs) are. 🙏

Which means
Sri krishna says arjuna that a sage should become calm, patient, devoid of fear, attachment, anger..For a sage is never distracted either by pleasure or by suffering.. Srikrishna advises arjuna to become like a sage..
Krishna encourages arjun to do his duty devoid of passion.. he advises arjuna to offer the results of his work to Sri krishna.. In other words the essence of gita is to perform action without passion, while having inner calmness and steadiness.. please don't misinterpret our holy scriptures..
@@ds86496 sorry to say but people like u are the reason today Hindus are not able to stand for their Dharma and have very cowardly attitude, we certainly dont need people who just read Githa and meditate for 10 hrs a day and preach others to be calm and compose and offer another cheek as well when someone slaps u. Thankfully Krishna didn't tell Arjuna to drop his weapons and run away and do meditation and try to calm his mind.
As Gopal ji said treat it like a normal book and I think I am free to interpret my own conclusions so dont preach me maybe when I turn 100 I will interpre it differently. U are free to do Yoga, meditation for like 20 hrs a day.

Even the battle was done as a form of karma yoga,
"YOGASKARMASUKAUSALAM", Lord again and again asks arjuna to submit his result of work to him, to work dispassionately, and do his kshatriya duty only.. You never read a single word from gita, but see you're preaching your own religion here.. This is the reason why Hindus are suffering. Not because of other religions, but because they themselves know nothing about their own religion..

but
we have to always look from all the sides, its due to iskcon and prabhupada only that so many people today are aware of krishna's teachings atleast. And the Geeta As it IS is correct in its own right because its targeted for the western people. 1.we need to tolerate ups and downs in our life and to avoid distractions whether from failure or success
2.the mind can be asset or destroyer it depends how you deal with it or train it
my tip* (try to add benefits of doing something that can outweight your distractions like if you want to wake up early say your mind the benefits or thing that you can do in early morning that will make your day awesome and that will outweigh the feeling of sleeping late and later you will try to sleep early.)

I want to share my experience i had recently. Being catholic i was not having any external trigger to read Bagavat Gita. It was on July 5 i had an immense urge within me to know more about Bagavat Gita. Right now the happiness i have is unimaginable and day in and out given a minute im spending time reading BG. Waking up before 5 am was a tediuos task for me but from tat day with no compulsion i jump up bed before 5 am only to read BG. I could relate to all answers i wanted in life from Gita. Its really a divine experience unexplainable 🙏. Later i learned July 5 was Guru Poornima (had to google a bit to know about tat day) through a malayalam calender and I'm now resonating the whole experience as destined to happen. Divinity is beyond religion, must say. Im in complete swap mode experiencing happiness within🙏

@@stardust2531 yes i am reading the english version. Although i do not understand sanskrit i read the english form of Sanskrit then read the purport for more understanding word by word. Im sure u will be open to the world of true wisdom. After reading i write down the understanding of each verse in my personal notebook and revise next day. Each day is a revelation.

Geeta is a " Justification Of Violence " isn't it? there is a violence, Geeta supports and advocate Varna system which is inequalities in social order of varna system, Geeta degrades, discriminates women and low castes.
Gita is not limited to Youngsters but to humanity at large whenever the confusion of what is apt in a given situation arises, Gita responds & relieved of that confusion beautifully.

Absolutely true, A friend of mine gave me an english translation of Shrimad Bhagwat gita by some foreigner and it was absolutely horrific. Always trust only gita press or very reliable sources for any of the sanatan vedic books.

(8) “Oh you who believe, fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you and let them find harshness in you.” 9.123

@@pranjalisharma8429 ummm...i read a summary of bhagavad gita on kindle. You can try reading the summary. Trust me , even the summary is full of knowledge. I found it quite interesting and I read it whole in one straight sitting, it took me around 7 hours.

Words of Gaur Gopal Das Ji's are always comprehensible to me and assimilate into me such that it shatters the wall of confusion and brings clarity.
My grandfather used to wake up at 3 am everyday even in his 90s and used to do dhyan, pooja... Then in afternoon used to read Geeta then again in evening used to do dhyan... Our whole family is very religious...

There are no specific rules to read the Bhagvad Gita, but one should:
1) Bath before reading the Gita.
2) Read atleast 15 to 20 minutes.

I am a proud hindu - cause I studied vedas- and vedas taught me to question everything and believe in nature and apply my knowledge.
Vedas don’t talk about idol worship , vedas don’t ask you to fast. It teaches you to understand the power of universe. No ram , Krishna is mentioned - only brahma . Vishnu and mahesh is mentioned . Agni is your source of communication.
I urge al my hindu brothers and sister is to understand the essence of Hinduism and forget twisted man made activities . Read vedas , read ram Charitra Manas , read gita and understand your own god .
