Peter Griffin's not happy about always online games...
NO THIS CANT BE NOT THE XBOX 360
(Edit I thaught the Xbox 360 servers were shut down)
The servers are going down on July 29, 2024 though
I have Banjo Kazooie and Tooie downloaded on my 360 and mine isn’t connected to the internet am I about to lose my only way to play those?
@@kaijushaman0679They'll probably keep the download servers up so you can still download the games you already own
@@kaijushaman0679those are on next gen im pretty sure
@@kaijushaman0679 I have downloaded Minecraft Xbox 360 digitally so I can go back to the oldest update. The way this works is that if you buy the game digitally before it goes down, then you have it forever! Even if you uninstall it you will still be able to get it back!! So make sure to buy any games you want before July 29th(?) (I don't remember the actual date)
now my xbox 360 is a brick this is so sad
Oh man i was so pissed when that happened, I legit thought I was hacked lol
This is the multiplayer service you need to pay for, ladies and gentlemen
1:52 as someone who just jailbroke there ps3 last night, it is Indeed decently difficult
There's nothing really difficult about jail-breaking a PS 3, like at all.
@@NotYours-bp5fxnow probably
@@NotYours-bp5fx well it’s the hardest jailbreak I’ve done so my perspective is different
Try jailbraking an xbox 360 or a PS4. Modern consoles are getting frustratingly good at locking down their systems, but they are also new/unknown/supported. They're getting so good modders might have to resort to using custom signed console updates or extreme hardware modifications.
The minecraft issue was about logging in, not playing offline it wouldve worked if you were logged in but it just wouldnt let you (if my internet is off completely but i logged in before that it wouldve worked)
Or just use a little common sense, go into settings and go into offline mode BAM, you can sign in and play all your single player games.
@@NotYours-bp5fx Thanks ill use thi next time im logged out and offline
Remember pirates have the superior gaming experience now.
That explains why I couldn't sign into Microsoft Solitaire
Microsoft is just being complicated, authentication is stupid
Michaelsoft Binbows.
THATS WHY NOTHING WOULD WORK MY COUSIN WANTED TO PLAY EITH ME BEFORE. HE WENT ON VACATION
Resonance frequencies from solar winds are a real threat now.
Can confirm this happened late last night, seriously ticked me off because it was like 2 o'clock in the morning
Imagine paying like 20 dollars a month for live and then you cant play shit cus everything is always online and the servers got fucked
The servers arent down forever and they dont go down all the time, it was for 7 hours and people started freaking out
However, this outage was the wake up call for a LOT of people, and made them realize just how terrible always-online is. Yes it was only 7 hours now, but what if this gets more common in the future? What if the servers are discontinued, will I still be able to play my games then?
This case is even worse, since minecraft has an offline singleplayer mode and yet you need online to boot it up from the launcher, so it was locked out in the launcher regardless.
Imagine spending a lot of money on the games u cannot even play, this motivates me to save up for a decent pc
@@Kareemisag it was 7 hours my point still stands if you spend that much on games you probably have thousands of hours, 7 hours is nothing
i like how he went through the effort of finding the same stock minecraft parkour tower footage that everyone else uses put some free images up and put his voice over it then called it a day
It was wild being one of the ones that was online when it went down.
I remember when it happened yesterday, I just ignored it and played Assassin's Creed Origins all day.
You know. You can set your Xbox to offline and play alot of single players games. Smh.
zesty jesus on speed
so glad you made a video about this
Wasn't just an Xbox live thing at least for me. I couldn't even sign into my profile
Same, and I couldn't even go on UA-cam of all things.
@@puzzledartist1232 Yeah. And all I wanted to do was watch a movie on Vudu after work
@@puzzledartist1232 And I couldn't eat my kebab and watch UA-cam :(
Made me realize how useless the xbsx is, I could play my games
Guys we need to preserve
The infuriating thing about Minecraft is that using MultiMC I can, in fact, launch in offline mode... except that for some reason XBox Live being down made MultiMC forget my account, and to re-add it I had to reauth. Very cool.
Why don’t companies invest in disks anymore?
If I had to guess, probably money.
@@beinggreenandunseen3171 Indeed, more money in their pockets. The digital storefront was advertised as a cost saving method for everyone, and that the savings of disk cost would be passed to the consumer. Fat shit that was since their real motive was to just license the shit we buy. We will own nothing and like it is what they're pushing towards.
Cuz discs are a shit storage medium now slower and stores less information when compared to other mediums
@@JacqueBibblequip I wouldn't have an issue with the shift away from disks if you actually owned the shit you buy
@@river559 If they want to do this, don't give them your money. Vote with your wallet and make it very clear to everyone why you are boycotting them.
O SHIT, but Minecraft going down makes no sense
The launcher needs to authenticate through the xbox servers before it can launch your game, so you need online to boot up a game with an offline single player mode...
Absolutely dumb choice. Worst thing is that if you bypass the launcher, the game boots up perfectly fine while offline, so this is all just microsoft bs.
@@daridon2483Turning off the wifi bypasses this check. You can play the game offline.
@@daridon2483 The real stupid thing is that they can still do it client-side like steam does. Even if steam servers go down, if you're offline you can still play the games you own
I thought it was about the 360 stores shutting down early for a second

Imagine any providers being told they can’t data cap or put any cap at all to anyone anymore and they all have to be unlimited permanently. That’ll be great.
Bro, that’s one of my biggest pet peeve’s about cyber punk you need Wi-Fi to play it in the servers were down in the middle of a Mission made me restart
unlimited games, but no games...
The only up side to this is that I finally started my 3rd Don't Fear the Reaper run when I couldn't play anything else.
An example of something that was hard but became easy recently is modding the 3ds as it is the only way other than buying games from resellers or collectors
this is why i keep a 360 on hand for call of dutys and Minecraft
the minecraft launcher DOES allow offline play but only if it detects you arent connected to the internet, so to play when the servers are down you have turn off your internet on your pc so it lets you in
the one day i decide to play minecraft in a long time, this happens
“😱 - no wait i remember this 😮💨 its fine.”
2:20 there's also throttling, which decrease the download speed after a certain amount of data used, thankfully in brazil it's actually regulated so no internet provider can throttle your internet speed after certain amount of data used, one pretty big provider here tried doing it and got shafted so yeah, the internet might not be the fastest but the providers legally can't screw you over
also if the internet goes down for more than 30 minutes you have the right to request the time the internet was down until coming back be discounted from your next payment, dunno how it works in the usa tho
I heard it was some cyber attack
When it happened i couldn't even sign into my xbox
The reason you need internet for minecraft specifically bedrock edition is because when you’re signed in friends joining is on by default so it puts you into a online game
Spatnz has finally reached the low of putting Minecraft parkour in the background
Open SSH recently had a huge vulnerability surface
Oh that wasn’t entirely my internet being dead?
Biggest issue was that I couldn't even log in to my Home console which i was already logged into before
I was able to play Red Dead Redemption 2 a lot yesterday when the servers were down.
