Thank you soooo much!! I’ve reached another turning point with my piano playing. I noticed that my playing sounds flat. And just last week I asked my teacher about how to play with more emotion. I love the idea of creating a story!! That is where the creativity comes in. Now I get it. I never understood before but now I get it! This was a really great and I think it will turn my music around. Thank you!!

I love software that forces you to read and input the note, as the notes are gliding across the staves at various rates. You have to keep the correct tempo before the note disappears as well too. I hope I'm making sense.

hi guys I just recently came across your channel and I want to say how much I appreciate it. I'm 57 years old and it has been about 4 decades since I stopped playing the piano. A couple of months ago though I got a keyboard to start over and I realized I need sheets but I can't find them so I wonder does anybody know where I can buy them? or everybody these days use a tablet or something? Any help would be highly appreciated. Blessings to you guys!

emotion is one way to play piano. But as a devout follower of logic/science , I find I have much better results if I take an intellectual/mathematical approach to music without the emotional component - that makes me learn a piece much faster. With brains and brute force / muscle memory, I've actually learned to play Chopin's Minute Waltz very quickly as a complete beginner - and am now on my way to mastering the polyrhythms of Fantaisie Improptu just to prove to myself that even a beginner can do so without having to practice for many many years 😁

Using logic is wonderful, we need to do that as pianists :) However, adding in emotion and feeling is just as essential! You should try it and let me know is it goes 😊🎹

I know that this is about practicing strategies and not a tutorial for a specific piece.
    But come on!
    Für Elise?
    Really?
    That's so cliche...
    No offence meant 🙂

As good an example as any to show how to learn a piece!
