France edged Poland in five sets to secure the third ticket for the Final Four of the 2021 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League.
Here's the reaction after the game, from the virtual Mixed Zone:
Wilfredo Leon (Poland): "We had already qualified to the Final Four. Okay, we lost today, but we will learn from this match and we will make it better in the next matches. I think we made too many mistakes. In the tie-break we were a little bit down in the spike, there was some lack of concentration also in other elements."
Benjamin Toniutti (France): "I think it was a good game. We were playing good in block-defence, we were touching a lot, we missed some counterattacks at some moments of the game, but we stayed in the game until the end. It's always difficult to win against Poland, so it's a really important win and now we are going to the Final Four."
Wilfredo León Venero (born 31 July 1993) is a Cuban-Polish professional volleyball player, member of the Cuba men's national volleyball team in 2007-2012, and a current member of the Poland men's national volleyball team and Italian club Sir Safety Perugia, silver medallist of the 2010 World Championship, NORCECA Champion (2009, 2011), Cuban Champion (2009, 2010, 2011), Russian Champion (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018).
Considered by many as one of a kind he led Cuba to the silver medal at the world championship 2010 in Italy, alongside Yoandi Leal and Robertlandy Simon considered one of the leaders of the "Generation of Miracle" of Cuba volleyball and by many experts, Leon may be one of the best players of all time considering all of the accomplishments he has made while still so young, having won every single title at pro level at the age of 24.
Earvin N'Gapeth (born 12 February 1991) is a French volleyball player, member of the France national volleyball team and Russian club Zenit Kazan, 2015 European Champion, gold medallist of the World League (2015 and 2017), French Champion (2010), Italian Champion (2016). - Спорт

As a polish fan, I should say "Leon because of power" but that match didn't show the best side of Poland's volleyball players. It was of course difficult match, but both teams had made mistakes. I will wait for the final 4 matches. It will be the best challenge for Poland.

I admire Ervin because he is smarter player than Leon. He is not so talented as Leon, but stays one of the best attackers in the world.

Leon: attack, power, blocking and playing for him self. Ngapeth: world class passer (2nd libero), very smart hitter (often reliable in out of system vs 3 blocks), and team player. For me, the reception and defense and volleyball intellegence makes me prefer Ngapeth over Leon as Leon is an attacking machine but Ngapeth is the complete volleyball player
@@gusvanhaelst1853 Whatever great moments Ngapeth has, it's always overshadowed by his behavior on the court to me. He's like French Spiridonov and that's why I dislike him. Leon on the other hand is like the epitome of respect and sportsmanship next to being a great player.

@@kklkl768 You can't compare Ngapeth and Leon to your nishida and ishikawa. Funny, they have to win international tournaments first, or atleast received multiple awards internationally before they can reach the level of Ngapeth and Leon.
@@kklkl768 yea er nishida and ishikawa aren't even close to the level leon is add, it'd a different realm, ishikawa might be nearing that level soon as he improves but none of them have that absolute dominance over the game like Leon and ngapeth does. Leon averages like 120 km/h each serve and his attacks are a consistent 330m at a speed of 120+ for pipes and 110 for normal near net attacks, its incomparable, this does not even include his blocking ability. Ngapeth on the other hand is an incredibly smart player, and one of the most reliable for off system balls and smartly positioned balls. His defensive capability is rather amazing as well. So you comparing ishikawa and Nishida, stating them to be superior, shows your lack of understanding for the game, as well as abit of you immaturity and ignorance. I advice you do research before making bold, inaccurate and condescending claims like these. That's all, no hate, just hope this constructive criticism can help you become a much more respectful, logical and mature person. Have a nice day.
