A few things I didn't mention in the video: If you're not a fan of rum, swap it out for another alcohol, like Cherry Liqueur, Chambord, Kahlua or Baileys, or leave it out entirely, they'll still taste great. These rum balls convert beautifully to gluten free, all rum balls in the video were gluten free, just using gf weet-bix, gf arrowroot biscuits and gf flour. Lastly, I know being Aussie I should be using Bundy rum, but in my defence, I was gifted this bottle of rum a few years back, and thought it was about time I used it. 😉
Thank you so much Lee for your videos and Aussie and other recipes. I watch many recipe videos and hardly ever Australian. I love seeing you use the things I have in my pantry, and you use Australian terms. Such a welcome change. Just love all the old fashioned recipes. 😀
WOW! My Mum in Scotland used to make the chocolate cake version for Christmas every year and I have tried unsuccessfully to replicate it as I tried in vain to find her recipe (she passed in 1998 😥) in amongst all her recipes ~ mostly handwritten or cut from magazines ~ but somehow her ‘golfball’ recipe was nowhere to be found. Now this Christmas we will have Mum’s Golfballs again ~ though this year I’ll call them Rumbles 👍. Cannot thank you enough 🙏. I’ve just found your channel (Aussie Pineapple Christmas Cake!) and I’m now subscribed ~ you are so clear, unpretentious and utterly charming …. THANK YOU from France 👍🇫🇷👍
I'm sitting here reading this with a smile on my face, I'm so happy you can have your mum's golfballs again. You are so kind, thank you for the lovely words, and may you have a beautiful Christmas. ❤

Oh you're most welcome. Thanks for your support. I just love old recipes too, something so nostalgic and comforting about them.

Rum balls are one of my all time favourites🐨 🇦🇺🇦🇺🐨
Mine too. I make them every Christmas. I thought they were just an Australian thing but my mother-in-law from Germany says she makes them too.
Very nice, I made rum balls too. Maybe Micha knows that...😊❤
Ich würde mich über Ihr Rezept freuen. Micha sagt, er könne sich nicht an sie erinnern.
Thanks. I've been looking for a recipe. They all look so good. They wouldn't last four weeks in my fridge 😄👍
