Ay yah. Sorry the instructions didn’t come out clear! It showed clearly while I made the short 🤦🏻♀. I will type it out here! A Suica card is a prepaid e-money card for transportation and shopping. 500-yen deposit is included in the suica card. What happens once I finish using the suica card? Suica cards are valid for 10 years. Feel free to take them homeland use them for your next trip to japan. If you need to return the suica card, they can be refunded at JR East stations with Ticket Office (not JR EAST Travel Service Center). There is a charge of 220 yen to return a Suica card which is deducted from the remaining balance. Refund examples: -With a balance of 1000 yen, the fee of 220 yen is subtracted for 780 yen and then the deposit of 500 yen is added for a refund of 1280 yen -When the balance is 100 yen, subtracting the fee leaves less than zero so the amount is considered zero and then the deposit of 500 yen is added for a total refund of 500 yen. -When the balance is zero, subtracting the fee leaves less than zero, so the amount is considered zero, and then the deposit of 500 yen is added for a total refund of 500 yen. Note: you cannot return your suica card at Haneda Airport. JR Ticket Offices in Narita Airport are very crowded. We ask you to return the card prior to arriving at the Airport
If you stick to the big cities, you can get away without knowing any and just using Google translate or Papago! 😝 but it’s always best to start learning as much as you can esp if you venture out of the tourist areas!
Thank you! We're going in 2 months and i was getting worried if we were able to get a Suica card. Since we have androids and can't just add to our phones like apple does
@@scottybcheerI was just at the narita airport and I didn’t think to ask at the time. But I say go in and ask them! They will either have it or will direct you to where you can get it!! Once you get out of customs and baggage claim, just go downstairs and you will see all the places to buy things including JR East travel service center ♥️♥️
@@buildyourmoxie thank you for the quick reply. I've been binge watching your travel vids in preparation for my trip next month and you have been soooooo helpful! Thank you so much again 👍🏻😊
