Not a phone in sight. Just people living in the moment.
Just a guy yelling
I thought that said torment for a second, and it wouldn't have been any less right, lol.
Who has dared to dislike the holy theme of Rome? Uncivilized!
I would declare Total War on that person!
This is getting out of hand, now there are two of them
They are four now.

I just realized this is Jeff Van Dyck channel and not just a UA-cam-generated one, Gods, this man's music is my childhood's soundtrack. Forever, We Are All One, Bird of Time, the only songs that make me tear up even after all these years.
this soundtracks made rome total war battle's Amazing, the convination of that animation, sounds of war and swords, truly makes feel in that age
yet in 2021 we are getting cartoon RTS ( age iv)
No video. Just a picture, a short speech, and amazing music. Epic!
I use to play this soundtrack if I can't beat a boss in Dark Souls, lifts up the morale for the fight!
Even doom guy needs something to lift his spirit
cringe
Wow that's a pretty good fit.

Nothing better to set the backdrop to a conquest of anatolia
But not before you secure the priceless Greek trade ports, and grab all of the trade agreements that you can afford.
Maneuvering around the pontic war chariots. Winning several heroic victories in a row. Making Marcus Junius Brutus a commander of the likes of Hannibal and Scipio Africanus and setting the stage for the inevitable civil war...
“This, is the day of Destiny!” I can’t believe I’ve only just realised this was used in Death N Destruction from Spartan Total Warrior! Ever since 2005 it has been my favourite game and also my favourite OST, I would love to hear it on Spotify some day. I still remember the day the OST was uploaded 3 years ago on YT and I was so happy!
Spartan Total Warrior is fucking underrated, one of the best hack n slahs games I've ever played sure beats God of War and Devil May Cry.
@@Casketkrusher_ fook yeah. I WISH IT GOT A REMASTER
I wish CA would port Spartan Total Warrior to steam already, i miss it so much!
@@Casketkrusher_ still one of my fave games that i return to. i've played some spartan total warrior soundtrack while playing some rome 2 total war and it makes it so much more epic
I just realized that man. You don't know the look on his face when I saw your comment right after.
Ave my Romans friends
I love the speech of the general at the beggininn, never hear it in the game. A new discover to me
I know I’m late but I think this is a historical battle cutscene
Guess someone is reinstalling classic Rome 1....
This makes you feel like you're in the thick of the action and not an aloof commander.
What do you mean by that?
Totally agree! Emersion at its best!
I love that Rome 2 is good now but I still think that original Rome had the best speeches
better speeches and better music for sure.
luckily there is a mod to add rome 1 music into rome 2
modders save the day again
@@chargingnoisesintensify6335 Still doesn't flow as well as Rome 1 due to how the music system is designed in Rome 2
@@Jatischar by default it has better speeches as r2 has none
Rome 2 will never be good in my eyes. The battles and collisions just aren't there
Extremely BASED
Jeff, if you ever have any stuff about absolute unit which is Rome Total War soundtrack, we would be more than glad to see it. I would even take some random fun facts or musical notation! haha
Here’s a fun fact…when I recorded Angela singing on the Rome songs, I set up the mic in our closet cause it had the most “studio” like sound (probably all the clothes). So Ange sang all of those songs in our closet ;)
@@JeffvanDyckMusic That's incredible lol.
I've always loved her singing, my favorite tracks and moments in the franchise were always tied to the songs she performed on like We Are All One, Forever, Divinitus, Bird of Time etc.
@@JeffvanDyckMusic ya mate you're a legend for this one, its its videogame equiv of Gladiator, and Ange is up there with Lisa Gerrard

UNLEEEASH HEEEELLLL
I love the speeches added into the beginning of these videos.
"Take up the shield, grasp the spear, sharpen the swords edge. This is a day of destiny! Today, the carrion birds feast, but they will feast upon our enemies, not on good Roman flesh!"
like the speech more than from R2 tho...

@@JeffvanDyckMusic cool!
@@JeffvanDyckMusic got to say your soundtracks frankly make the old total war titles. The current tracks dont hold a candle with what you provided in Rome, Medieval 2, and Shogun 2. Why CA doesn't utilize you anymore is beyond me. When they think total war of old we think to those moments your music made manifest. Thanks for making the early titles that much more grander.

@Jeff van Dyck i spent quite a lot of time trying to time the song but even though I could sing with most of it I'm stumped when trying to sheet it, do you have a paper version i could see, because the rhythms are amazing!
Are there any more total war songs combined with pre battle speeches?

I adore this soundtrack, but I'm disappointed that there no longer seems to be any way to listen to these pieces of music without the obnoxious General's speeches before the songs. YT, Spotify, and all other sources I can find are the same in this way.
Please remove these intro's man their really really bad.
