I feel sorry for indoctrinated people like you and can't see the bigger picture behind this push towards EV which is about absolute control along with the central bank digital currency coming very soon. Also, you think "everybody" will be going to horses. Nope, not everyone knows how to ride them or has access to one. This whole push to EV isn't feasible anyway, there's nothing green about it when you go look at the mess created to make the batteries. Then there's Tesla, who is only in business because of subsidies from the government and fees the EPA charges other auto makers for vehicles that don't meet CAFE standards. It's the only way they turn a profit and stay afloat. That should tell you that the demand for EVs isn't there.

I’d bet car enthusiasts would like EVs a bit more if you could hear the motors rev and see your RPMs/shift like you can in this. This is really cool though, the guy did awesome work!
Very fun! Love the idea of off-roading and hearing the nature and world around you. This is where things are going and people like this are helping us get there in style.
Sounds like you're going to love your enslavement by the global elite. This Bronco can barely go 100 miles on one charge. That's not efficient nor convenient, bro 👎. I have rural land here in Texas that I use as a hunting property and it's roughly 185 miles from my home in th city. It usually takes about 3 hours to get there in my Jeep and I get around 300 miles to the tank because it's a 2 door with less fuel capacity. Also running a lift, bigger tires, bumpers, winch etc. I can only imagine how long and how much time I would waste if I had to sit there and charge halfway through the trip to just get there with the limited range similar to this Bronco. Especially since there are no chargers in that remote and sparsely populated area. If this is where things are going then the future looks very bleak.
Cool that you can convert classic offroad vehicles. Will be much cooler when the range is at least 3x to 4x what you stated and also fast charge possible.
I'm here for the people who don't actually watch the video and just came here to complain, saying something like "you ruined it!". If they actually bother watching past the two minute mark, they might hear something they wanted to hear. Love the build though. The idea of an EV off roader is great for those who want to go out and see and hear some nature, or quietly get out to a hunting spot instead of scaring everything away with a big roaring V8 (or sxs). Good luck to the Rugged EV folks on their projects. So many different people creating projects like this is exactly how tech and capabilities improve over time.
I didn’t come here to complain but I do find myself incredulous when ruining such a beautiful classic. Very true and so I’m going to encourage others to bump your ☝️☝️☝️post. Well stated.
Awesome build! I must say, though, after putting a Hyper 9 in a little Suzuki, I wonder if this rig is a bit much for it as a single motor. Hopefully you have good controller cooling. Also, I’ve noticed that the controller’s native programming is very conservative at low speeds (hence the stall on Slip ‘n Slide). I think it’s their attempt to minimize torque flutter vibration.
In December 2022, Ford itself was seen to be testing a Ford Bronco that had it's interior stripped and a flat battery pack put in onto the rear floor within the upper-penninsula area of Michigan. A couple of automotive engineers who follow various auto manufacturers overhead in a convenience store that the all-EV Bronco was getting 400 miles (644 km) of driving range and they CONFIRMED that mileage by following the EV Bronco and counting the miles on their trip odometer until the next pitstop. Ford right now uses high-nickel content Lithium-Ion batteries from SK Innovation of South Korea and the NEWEST EV battery formulations have a 30% increase in driving range over the three year old formulations used in the Ford F150 Lightning EV truck! The SAME engineers ALSO SAW a Chevy Colorado EV truck test mule being tested in lower Michigan last summer 2022 and a third party overheard the testers "bragging" it was getting over 400 miles of driving range! So it looks like 400 miles is the newest target of driving range for upcoming mid-size EV trucks! Typically, if a manufacturer is doing an EV test mule using a CURRENT truck or car model, it means the final consumer-ready version is less than two years away! I have seen that time frame pretty consistent from BOTH North American AND European auto manufacturers. That basically means we are getting a Chevy/GMC mid-size EV truck and a Ford Bronco EV probably by the 2025/2026 model years! I can live with a 400 mile range! I'd rather have 500 miles BUT 400 miles is nothing to sneeze at for an EV vehicle as it means most people's daily driving EV range will last the whole work-week on one charge since most American's and Canadian's home-to-work and work-to-home drive is less than 40 miles (64 km) each way. This old-style Bronco EV shows the GREAT PROMISE of an EV future for 4x4 off-road vehicles and I can see very soon that mid-size vehicles such Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator, Ford Ranger, Ford Maverick, Ford Bronco, Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon, Toyota Tacoma and even the Nissan Frontier will be likely some of the FIRST of the mainstream trucks to go ALL-EV with 400+ mile driving ranges by probably the year 2026! That's only TWO to THREE model years away! V
It's definitely an interesting idea good for in town and off-roading but for long trips it would be awful typical EVS usually are awful on long trips unless they're very aerodynamic and efficient but they usually cost so much more
