    This is also my fav costume because there aren’t any shoulder pads that cover the shoulder anatomy. Good stuff👍

      There are definitely some things absorbed from the timelapse that dont come through in the livestreams, just because you see things unfold quicker and notice how things relate to eachother.
      The timelapse lack all the good advice from the livestreams though.
      Should watch both IMO

    You draw the best version of Wolverine! Just finished doing a draw along with your Batman, now I plan on doing it with Logan. So cool to see the time lapse

      @@baki484 slow it down to .5 and draw each body part separately until you have enough practice when the anatomy to link them together using perspective and realistic body ligaments etc :) it’s how I learned and now I’m a comic book artist. It’s a fun job Ngl

      @@baki484 also, practice doing body and facial swings. Swings are where you quickly draw the shape and direction and shade it depending on where the light is coming from, and then adding detail later to get used to the shape, direction and flow of each body part.

      @@baki484 it helps build muscle memory when you’re drawing big fight scenes, and characters doing complex movements. A good example is Spider-Man, and other characters like night crawler or Deadpool.

    Wow! What a joy to watch! David is the best superhero artist working today. I love the vanquished Ninjas at Wolvie's feet: A drawing within the drawing. You should get this inked up, colored and made into a print!

    Just awesome 👏 wolverine has always been a longtime favourite of mine! ...sure love your idea of putting all of your livestream artwork into an art book! I’ve always been a picture guy and it’s always been the charm of comics for me. I for one am extremely excited and anxious for a art of David Finch book!!

    This drawing has always existed on this piece of paper... David is just revealing it by taking away the white of the paper. Congrats David on making your mark for a very long time to come.

      Huh, that’s something Michelangelo said about his sculptures. It’s kind of a metaphor to how artist can see and realize the potential of materials.

    I LOVE your style, and you are one big influence on me.
    Have you ever considered leave the fugures with just the shadows, without the cross hatching? I think they have enough character to leave them like that!
    Anyway, your style is AMAZING!

    How do you decide where to put the light? Are you just fidging it or do you have a plan for it? I can never decide where to put the shadows on the muscles even when I have lights in mind.
    And some of your muscle anatomies looks a bit incorrect, especially on the left side of the torso. Am I just being too nit-picky? Because again, I stumble with that too. I get to really planning my panels and end up spinning my wheels until I finally almost sculpt it out of the page and end up eating the page with erasing.
    I know I'm not the most confident penciler, but you guys make it look like you never give it any real thought and I'd LOVE to do that instead of fighting the page.

    How do you decide on the direction of the muscle contours? Most artists just curve them a bit too smoothly for my taste. I don't understand how you make them crooked and still look great.
