Hi Corn, I use aluminum foil to sharpen my punches. Just punch through it 4 or 5 times. My stars and garters you are the funnest person to watch. I love the material and the ribbon, I watched the other video first so I already know the frames did not work so I cant wait to see when you have the crosses on the gnomes. Jonathan says you are a genius, LOL, do you think he's biased. TFS my sweet friend and have a blessed and creative weekend. Hugs and love from VA.
Hello fun Mimi! Great idea sugar...thank you. I ended up painting the crosses and wooden (or bamboo) sticks in white and placing one on top of the other. The gnomes can have them placed in their bent arm if their new owners want. I am so happy to hear from that rascal Jonathan. He texts me from time to time, but not enough. ;) I think he is afraid that I will fuss at him if he misbehaves with you. :D I taught him to be biased when it comes to me. LOL! Hi Sweet Corn! Thank you for sharing your process for starting to create your gnomes. All of your gnomes are always so well dressed and I imagine that selecting the fabric and trims for their outfits seems to be a lot of fun. It’s funny that you should mention not knowing what we have in our craft rooms. I have been staying away from HL, Michaels and Joann’s for that specific reason. The shop, find a place for it, clear out what’s not being used to make room seems to be a vicious cycle. Thanks for the chat and wishing you a great evening my friend!!!❤️😘
Hello Dolly. Thank you for your kind words. I think a lot of us crafters are using up items that we had purchased many moons ago. Yes, they may not be what is new and popular out there right now, but they were purchased for a reason; therefore, we will enjoy creating with them. :) I have found a few items from HL at 75% off, but not even one tenth of what I usually buy.
