I've been a baseball fan since 1956...and I have never seen anyone as phenomenal as Ohtani. This guy is a once in a generation player. The best lefty swing since Mantle; the best pitching since Drysdale and Gibson.
Just to reinforce your point. He is the only reason that I've paid attention to anything regarding baseball. ( I've been ignoring the league for at least five years. And totally stopped watching highlights about 2 years ago.)

My father was 5'7". I'm 5' 9.5". Ohtani is 6'4" and young enough to be my grandson. Because of (I think) more protein in the diet, Japanese boys have caught up to the rest of the world in height. And *DAMN* is he great to watch!
