I think the mentally with many African ministers is that the people should serve them instead of them serving the people. Even the airline attendants are afraid to say no to the minister.
I gave up on Turkish airlines in 2021. I bought the most expensive fare with shorter layover. But the called to change my flight twice giving me the longest layover of over 24 hrs with no reason. I was kinda ok with it. Then the worst happened. They called to move my flight forward by 3 days. 3 days earlier fam! Had to cut my vacation short and still spend 24 hours in Istanbul. And I was never compensated. They told me to take it or leave it. And their food after 2020 is just trash. Never again.
It’s a big shame really as to how they mistreat customers especially when you consider that these are voted as being the biggest and best performing airlines in Africa! Ethiopia Airlines, Kenya Airways, Egypt Airlines etc But KQ is improving slowly but surely!
Tried EgyptAir never again. Racism at its peak when passing by cairo airport. Last month tried Rwandair, hehe, its a joke. Change hour of departure 3 times without explanation, broken suitcases, at Kigali treat people like rubbish, changed my seat, asked for an explanation, the guy barked at me 😧 like its him who paid my ticket, they are rude, robotic without any emotions. Not talking about the tasteless food and there staff on the airports i crossed them being a joke. Before booking look at online ratings and take them serious. Rwandair gave me a lesson, so i checked on Kenya airways ratings and i won't be one of those to enter there planes anytime soon. The skies business is an international affair, please African airlines atleast make an effort in your attitudes towards that matter. Until then 😊

That isn't true you are trying to flip the situation by blaming the victim. I heard millions of complaints about Ethiopian airlines. Consumers have the power at the end. They have their money and shouldn't fly Ethiopian airlines for mistreating consumers to force consumers out while so-called ministers stand by getting their seats. There are many other airlines operating in Africa including Turkey airlines.
This airlines are a joke. We should hold them accountable especially Ethiopian airlines
