This is amazing! I am a former hospital/nursing home food service workers myself. But they should still fill these orders according to the patients' diets as well. Not everybody in the hospitals and nursing homes are on regular diets. Some of them are on low-sodium and cardiac
diets. Some of them are diabetics. Some of them can't chew their foods. And some of them have had surgery and they can't eat solid foods yet.
They should cater the menus according to the patients' diets.

I USE TO WORK AT UAB FOOD SERVICE & NUTRITION THE FOOD WILL BE MUCH FRESHER AND HEALTHIER NOW I DON'T THINK THIS WOULD WORK FOR EVERY HOSPITAL. IT'S A GOOD IDEA.

I unfortunalty have been in the hospital many times. When the food is not what you would eat you will not eat it! Therefore your nutrition will deminish! very very good idea Brookwood has this also.

No the menu will shift for other more restrictive diets. Pureed food probably not they get a set menu.

Since when are French fries a nutritious option? French fries and other "fast food" items shouldn't be allowed on the menu at a hospital.

If you're on a "regular" diet you can have them. Some hospitals only serve baked fries not deep fried ones.
