The myrrh verse is so often left out of other versions because it's depressing, but this version makes it one of the best parts of the song. Love it!
Agreed! How can have the gold and frankincense but leave out the myrrh? You might as well rename the song to "We Two Kings."
This version hits everything on my checklist for the perfect rendition of this song:
+ Includes all verses
+ Sung by no fewer and no more than three people (with each person soloing one of the "gift" verses)
+ Actually has something of an "oriental" flavor
It's just so rare that anyone gets all three of these right!

@@newtonikire6408 maybe in the past. not anymore. 'I vow to thee my country' is another amazing one, especially when done by an orchestra. 'Were you there' as well. I would say the Johnny cash version really speaks to me but a lot of renditions pull on those heartstrings.

I will say this...in all my 63 years of hearing and singing this song, I do not remember ever taking note of the Myrrh verse... ever!!
so if it reminds me of a very important part of the life of Jesus especially since I am so numb to Christmas music these days, I say good on you! I have
followed Mark's career for a while now and IF he still has it I sent him the metal print of his guitar and dancing shoes titled "Gemini" I know for a while I had
seen it on the wall with his guitars in various video clips or stories.
I love that they did the whole song. Especially the last verse , "Glorious now, behold Him arise! King, and God, and Sacrifice! Alleluia! Alleluia! Sounds through the earth and skies!" All in all a beautiful piece, visually and musically.
My 4 year old daughter just kept saying "she's beautiful!" - God's Blessings! Great rendition of a classic

It's great that you should help. I've got some private videos on my channel that are tv episodes. Others have public copies of them. I'm not gonna make mine public unless there are no other public copies on youtube and I can't find them on the right sites. There may have been songs in some of these videos and I added what I hope are the lyrics to the descriptions. I commented on 2 public copies of my private videos telling others about my private copies and asking if anyone would like the lyrics to the songs. Do you think I should have just done what you did and just post comments with the lyrics directly?
