For those of us born at the tail end of the baby boom, this was one of the albums that defined us. To be a teen in the late 1970s was to have this music as part of our life's soundtrack. Energy, confusion, passion, cynicism, humor, despair and yet optimism. It was all there for us and these songs recounted it all.
@@RHYGAR1 Oh, and we Yankee fans had a special love as "Paradise" was the unofficial song of the '78 World Series champs. This is because the announcer was the beloved Phil "The Scooter" Rizzuto, both the TV and radio commentator (and former shortstop) of the NY Yankees.
I can still remember when this album ruled the radio, with the singles on AM and the album cuts on FM. It still holds up just as well today.

I was introduced to this 8 track when I was about 9 and at 49 this is STILL one of my favorites…Thank you for posting this!!
I had this on 8 track too. Used to just let it play on a loop. There was one annoying break in the middle of a song, but can't remember now.

@@RHYGAR1 always a pleasure. You are posting some great albums.
I know I know heaven can wait😇
every song on this album is like a challenge on the voice or american idol, before they were a thing. and meatloaf killed it, effortlessly.
That scream at the end of the title song is one of the most ridiculously satisfying moments in music.
