- Here's another oldie but goodie - The UNC Clef Hangers cover Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love To You" with soloist Anoop Desai (this is one of his 'signature songs' from his Clef career...) and help from Andrew Avent and Ned Malone, at their 2006 Spring Concert in Chapel Hill
almost 10 years later and it's still gold

A signature song that year for the Clefs, insanely popular with all the high school and college girls, and often the encore to their performances/concerts - true for this version here. Yeah! It is Motown...I looked up Motown songs and saw "I'll Make Love to You " and was so excited! If you type "Motown number-one singles" into Google, it should show a Wikipedia page. "I'll Make Love to You" is at the bottom. Yeah I was surprised that it was on the list too, but it was released on the Motown label, so it IS Motown, even though Motown is often associated with the 60s and 70s. But maybe they are only going to want traditional Motown (like the ones from the 60s and 70s)...:(

The Clefs do two big concerts, two free outdoor concerts, one huge 3 night Winter Jam Concert, and multiple other minor performances for the UNC students each year. In addition, they do many, many paying gigs both on and off campus during each year. They are some busy young men....

I read that they are planning to have Motown as one of the themes for sometime this season! If this is true, Anoop should DEFINITELY sing "I'll Make Love to You!" Haha I'm sure it would be a no-brainer for him to pick it if he saw it on a list of the songs they are allowed to sing for that week. Wow I really hope the rumor is true and that they are really going to have a Motown week...that would be a PERFECT opportunity for Anoop to just whip this out and show everyone what's up.
