Matt the AI is using overtake in qualifying, they are not strategic with it that's why they run out of battery in half a lap. That's why the gap isn't that big but it makes a difference and qualifying is all about maximum attack
Also the hotlap mode gives barely any extra power it just gives a couple of mph at the top end and nothing at the lower gear to avoid wheelspin. Keeping the tyres out of consideration u can practically do 2 consecutive push laps and still have more than 60% charge left
I think they have been all along or since the first patch. All others I've watched play don't seem to have issues. But I've only played the game a couple times as I've not purchased it yet so I have no idea. Seems he qualified where he should when he uses it
My guess is because he is doing 2-3 race in one day edit them in the following days and post them afterwards maybe his last 3 where in the same day so he didn’t have any comments to base his opinions. It’s only a guess tho might not be the case
The A.I do not use overtake in quali laps. They use hotlap mode. If you ride on board with them for a whole lap, youll see the dash that its not on overtake. But they do you hotlap mode.

Just use the overtake button. We don't care if the AI is or isn't using it.
I guess this drive must be down to your pre race ritual and it allowing you to take a systematic approach

AI use hotlap 100% in quali (check their practice top speed vs. Qualifying). They don’t however use Overtake.
Use overtake it will help you qualify better it helps you go faster my friend
I think In the summer break you should take a break also. You do 3 career modes so you deserve it.
