- My mom says you’ll have everyone at the potluck eating dessert first with this summer staple. ☀️🧺🍉 (love to my bonus mom, Mrs. Lantz - Elizabeth L. Brown, M.D. ♥️)
Mrs. Lantz’s Blackberry Cobbler
Ingredients:
4 cups blackberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup AP flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
1/4 tsp almond extract
1 Tbsp lemon juice
6 Tbsp butter
Directions:
1. Prepare a 9x6 baking dish and preheat oven to 425º.
2. Rinse blackberries and plop them in the dish. Mom doesn’t care if you dry them. 🤷🏻♀️
3. Drizzle lemon juice and almond extract over top of the blackberries.
4. Mix together sugar, flour, salt and egg. It will be chunky.
5. Spread the mixture evenly over the blackberries.
6. Melt butter and drizzle over top of everything.
7. Bake for 25 minutes-until golden and bubbling.
8. Serve with vanilla ice cream for the dreamiest outcome.
9. Yum.

Jennifer Garner is such a sweetheart and so respectful whit her mother , that is nice to watch them working together.
It re-affirms my faith in humanity to see that a true 'celebrity' can indeed be simply "normal" off-screen. The media always seems to focus on the odd and publicity thirsty celebs, which is unfortunate. I luv the wonderful and easy to make recipes too.

Jennifer Garner is a very special lady. She can wear a LBD and stilettos, but also her real outfit is a sweater and jeans. She is fit, fabulous, fantastic mom, faithful friend, and a positive role model for young women. Plus, she uses her mouth and money for real change. Did u hear her say yes Ma'am to her mother? Classy lady.

Fabulous. One of the most enjoyable parts of watching your “Pretend Cooking Show” is laughing because things just go on. Oh well, we should have turned on the oven before we started this! I guess we should have melted the butter first! You know what, that’s a real person’s kitchen. You get distracted by loads of things and sometimes it doesn’t go as planned but it turns out great in the end and you have fun. Once I had my daughter make a cake (I let her do this all on her own) - it didn’t turn out so great and we laughed so hard afterwards. I asked her what the ingredients were and she proceeded to explain that she couldn’t find the baking powder so she just left it out. Ok then! You know there are simply certain things you can’t leave out of some recipes (nuts, chocolate chips, marshmallows, cutting back on sugar, etc) but not baking soda when it asks for it. We still laugh about that. Cooking and baking are fun if you Allow it to be. Thank you for bringing laughter to my kitchen.
