It is typical female behavior in the states, I don't blame the guy for being a bit jaded. I understand the clinginess of filipinas too.
It's getting really annoying, really fast at how some of them want you on the phone, video chat, etc non-stop. Leave me the f alone sometimes.

Being in a relationship doesn't mean being up each others asses all the time, Mike. It is no different than a guy that follows a woman around like a puppy dog.
It might be good for codependents, but my family is dead, and nobody ever gave me anything in life. It is great having someone to lean on, but I still need time to myself occasionally.
It is unhealthy to drift into obsession.

@@MarsOctoexactly. 20 years younger is a stretch when the youngest one is only 25. I set my limit at 10 years when I was 43. I did NOT look for the eye candy (some guys are ridiculous about looks). I looked for substance. Maybe I was sneaky I had families checked out it took me a year to find the right one.

@@mikesphilippineretirement If the woman is left with only physical material possessions (depreciating assets) she is virtually penniless. She only has items she can covert to short-term cash. But she has no long-term path forward financially. Worse, unless he helped pay into her social security account, she will be unprotected in a workplace culture that disposes of women after the age of 35 or so. She can’t start over in the competition for the good jobs. So yes, I use the term penniless. That man financially destroyed this woman! That’s why she was so desperate to hang on. That’s why she was so emotional. She understood all along she was hanging off a cliff & he was her only safety rope….AND HE CUT THE LINE!🤬🤬🤬

What a bullshit move this was. He is giving every foreign male a bad name in the Philippines. Stuff like this spreads. I missed one relationship because the girl I was engaged to was told not to marry a foreigner, because they kill their wives. She got this stuff from her friends who read it in the Philippine newspapers that a foreigner killed his Filipina wife. They ganged on her until she started to believe it, so she left the relationship. This too will get out and make it more difficult for foreigners to find women in the Philippines.

Mike is right. This guy needs to grow a set. His lack of maturity is evident by the ghosting aspect. If he had 15 or so good years with her, he should have a least set her up to survive on her own. She did give him her best years. This sounds like sexpat behavior. I'm abit surprised by his actions...one would think at age 70 you would have your sheet together.

Unfortunately, most of these vlogs cater to that lifestyle, including this one.
This video should be titled "How to pump and dump a Filipina." because that is basically what he instructs guys to do. "Leave her some money in the bank." "Give her a scooter." etc
How about treating them with respect and not using them for temporary sex?

Relationships to a Filipina in the Philippines means everything regardless whether it is a local guy or a foreigner. There is no excuse to cut and run without at least leaving her with something to make her life better. OMG, what a sad & tragic story, 🙏🏼🙏🏼😔😔. It doesn’t make any sense, 🤔🤔??? Guys are forever complaining about getting scammed by a Filipina, & having their hearts broken, 💔.
Then there’s guys like Reekay (a really cool guy ), that took 5 years, before finding his soulmate.
Your friend won the lottery on his first try, with Maria, and blew it!!! It’s like having the winning lottery ticket, not caring, and throwing it away, 😔😔!!!
But thank you for sharing, there’s an invaluable lesson to be learned here. If and when you’re lucky enough to find the right woman, treat her right, hold her tight, and never let her go, 🙏🏼🙏🏼😉😉❤️❤️❤️…

I understand where he is coming from, the only thing that sours me….once in the states he should have sent her a civil email telling her it was over and that she should move on, being kind and civil. You are an excellent storyteller Mike. I want to acknowledge that. It’s a gift. I agree 70 is not old. I’m close and I am more capable and vital than almost anytime, plus the maturity, good judgment, wisdom, insight and humility.
I’ve had to break up. It is hard. When I first meet I look for emotional stability. Thats very important. Also in the basic human rights a person has the right to change their mind. It takes years to know someone. Sometimes people don’t reveal important things until years later. I’ve had experiences like that. “To thine own self be true”. Honesty with oneself is critical and honesty with a partner is critical. If someone honestly tries many times to break up civilly, and it’s too dangerous or emotionally fearing, then possibly just detaching physically is necessary. We have only one life. We have to live our own life. I agree George could have sent an email letting her know his decision and possibly send her some money to help her for a while like Reekay suggests. Great video.

If they have their own place in a lot of cases it is just a bed in a boarding house or very small room, that you wouldn't be comfortable in. But in the circumstance that is the topic of this vlog, how does one remotely compensate a Filipina for the “flower of their youth?” You are setting a good example by helping and encouraging Janet to have an independent source of income and be able to support herself once that time comes-the time that comes for all. She can live her life without having to return to family because she will have invested her youth wisely and not fallen for a scammer of youthfulness-sometimes the only thing a Filipina has to invest in a comfortable old age.
