Hello Rin here's some tips from someone who's been playing for a long time.
-Any shinny thing you see, you grab (which you are already doing so yay, you'll need them later trust me)
-Worship the statue of 7 by finding some anemoculous, they are all over teyvat. They will give you more stamina.
-For the combat, the most powerful thing in genshin are the elemental reactions. Do a little research about them. It seems complicated but once you know, the combat is ez.
-spend all the primogems in the pink fates, never the blue ones. The game will give you those.
-For the gacha. Every 10 wishes you'll get a guaranteed 4* (could be a character or weapon) and every 90 you'll get a 5*.
-Every artifact and weapon have different stats and bonus effects, try using them to upgrade your characters.
-Play the game with the characters you like. There's a meta way BUT I'd argue that you can pass all the game with most characters so if you are gonna build characters(it takes time and resources) choose the ones YOU like.

I think it’s worth for newcomers to mention that you usually don’t need 90 wishes for a 5-star, i just got 3 5-stars in 15 wishes

I miss being a new player, I spent hours sidetracking and just wanted to grab items and such, I didn’t really pay attention to everything and I feel stupid looking back at all the mistakes I made but the game felt so much more different compared to how It feels now that I’ve done all the quests and all I do is sign in every day to do commissions

This is a bit out there but the elements don't actually correspond with physical things they share similarities with. Like, Pyro is not the same thing as fire and Hydro is not water (they do correlate though). The Hydro slimes can't be eaten because they have so much hydro they're straight up toxic. Burning (the elemental reaction) and having Pyro on you are two different things.
This becomes a lot more obvious when you look at how the elements react which isn't all that important this early on. Stuff like Cyro and Electro making enemies lose Physical DMG Resistance and stuff.

Genshin's kind of hard to get into due to barring story progress through the Adventure Rank. Which means you have to spend several days to complete the prologue, which means you have to stick to the Monstadt region, which means certain characters you may obtain from the gacha can't be upgraded because not all materials spawn in the starting area.
This was what got me to leave and play Star Rail instead.
Thats a bit of a bad take, AR limit gets lowered when the next part of the story is released, also the game gives you more than enough ar from quests and other activities. even Inazuma characters (excluding Yae and Shenhe) with the lower AR you will have enough mats to level them enough to go through the 2 first parts of the story.
@@jakubbarczyk4310right like my brother has Thoma as his support but has not gotten liyue finished yet, and has Thoma at level 40 and managed to use him to get through his ascension quest and through the story. Personally I did not play any inazuma characters before I unlocked the area but currently trying to build heizou to replace traveler as sub dps
@@DinoandGalaxyHe only have toma support 😂. I have wanderer and yae, both main dps and sub-dps, stuck at lv 40. And i don't have any problem going into inazuma with lv40. Now my wandere reached lv 60 but yae still stuck cuz i need to go to enkonomiya. Its not really a problem as people say. You just need to know what you are doing, dont upgrade world.
@@ScarletX4 nah not just Thoma. He broke f2p status the instant Childe returned and got him in 40 pulls so he’s currently running keqing/Childe/Thoma/yaoyao I believe.
