You can't hand a new manager the job of rebuilding a club and let him go after one season...so you're not crazy! He has fought through putting together a squad that barely had any chemistry, too many injuries to count (look at today's bench), and they're playing good football right now. Take away the Arsenal loss, and they've been top class the past few months.
I think my favourite thing about the game was that we didn't rely on Palmer solely to win the game. A starting 11 that has played almost no minutes together, along with some late debut cameos, showed we have potential next season. I was getting worried that Palmer would have to carry next season but Madueke and Gallagher are showing more promise. I'd love to see Caicedo get on the scoresheet before the end of the season (despite that banger back in November against Tottenham). Mudryk still worries me. He is often so crucial in the first 15-20 minutes when we are getting into the rhythm and then inevitably backs off but he put through two creative passes that could have led to goals early. Overall, great performance. We needed that clean sheet.

Trev's header would've been fantastic from a striker, but coming from a centerback, was PHENOMENAL. Gilchrist had Son in his pocket the entire game and showed composure beyond his experience level. Cucu was cuckoo on the back left, controlled chaos and energy from the first whistle. He's the blue box for me. The amount of blocked crosses he had was bonkers, and when he slipped into that CDM role in possession, Spurs couldn't lay a glove on us. More of that please, Poch! Caicedo was the polar opposite of what he was when he arrived - lively, composed and intelligent. Conor was special, again. Glad he got a banner. Best game I've watched from the boys in a while, even better than the Everton drubbing. C'mon you Blues, let's get to Europe!
Ah.. it was good. Poch deserves a job hes doing someting that has been not done in 4 years. Chelsea can score and create offence! Tuchel, potter, lampard didnt have any attack at all and chelsea was often just toothless crosser. Murdick also had good stuff
Might be overlooked, but loved Noni calling Palmer to celebrate when Jackson scored. He was kinda aprehensive to join in at first. With all our Injury last thing that we need is player pools fighting aginst each other. It seems Jackson and Palmer are warming up as well, but still time to get tight.
I realised it too... Palmer is right to feel aggrieved after Jackson refused to celebrate during the penalty fiasco... But good it's done with and over
@gantswood Enzo has been playing with hernia for past few months. So he hasnt been 100%. Also Gallagher plays 10 in Caicedo, Enzo pivot which makes our attack bad.
Very good first half performance, Caicedo looks a different player without Enzo! Still should’ve killed the game by half time with the chances we had, we were pretty lucky Tottenham couldn’t finish either in the second half
Head coach Mauricio Pochettino can well celebrate a significant win and doing the double over his last club Spurs, despite 14 player injury crisis. Also, somewhat heart-warming to see the growing numbers of Chelsea Academy graduates, featuring regularly and prominently in the senior team. So, they aren't just there to be considered 'pure profit' in transfer sales. Reece James, Conner Gallagher, Trevor Chalobah, Noni Madueke, Alfie Gilchrist, Levi Colwill. Chelsea slowly getting experience to add to the 'promise' of a very young side.
Oh, god. Today and game before (the second half) our team looks mature playing with chemistry as one unit. Both wingers helped defensively Cucu was amazing whole midfielders played
It's amazing the positive mood change when Chelsea win vs an arch London rival. Kudos for the shutout, the subs, Cucurella in an inverted role, Palmer/Gallagher-Jackson/Chalobah for 2 goals. Caicedo now has license to do more and the defensive trio worked their socks off.
Alfie Gilchrist definitely had his best game today. I put him there as one of the MOTM tbh. Hope his injury isn’t too severe since he plays for the badge
I genuinely believe European football can happen! - Man Utd and Newcastle play each other. Ideal that they draw but either way MINIMUM one of them loses - it’s a win-lose situation. - United also play Arsenal which they are probable to lose. Hopefully we don’t bottle our remaining games!
I said this in your last videos, that Mudryk will be good if he know how to pass a ball, he start in the first half but second half i dont know it tactic or lazy of Mudryk but still hope he will be better
It was a great night but as u said spurs wer'nt up for it ,so, in this rollercoaster ride of a season, some consistency would be very welcome indeed. Lets see what happens at west ham .love ur pod
As I have been saying, "the combination of Enzo, Caicedo and Gallagher is a bad combination because Enzo and Gallagher are similar and their system of play doesn't support Caicedo when both are in the squad. Caicedo always plays better when either Enzo or Gallagher is NOT in the squad
Heres the thing about jackson. If he scored all of his chances, the media and fans would be talking about him like hes the signing of the season and one of the best up and coming players. Since he has missed a lot of chances he now gets labelled as being not good enough. Jackson will come good!
Caicedo is still only able to show flashes of what he can do. In Ecuador he plays much farther up the field and has 4 assists in 6 games in WC qualifiers. He does corners, FKs and runs the team. He could do the same for Chelsea but Poch is slow to understand. One thing not being said is that Poch did not make this changes out of brilliance but lack of choice. I think when he has choices again he reverts.
I personally love this current team. I like seeing how we are growing as a team (at least I hope that's what's happening and it's not just luck). I think seeing a team grow from an inconsistent team full of just raw talent to a winning team is a rewarding experience. Started from the bottom now we here.
Us Chelsea fans will always bounce between sacking and keeping a manger. But considering the massive injury list Poch has been under this season, our position in the league is fairly good. I’m happy as a Chelsea fan to give Poch another season with hopefully a fully fit squad to show us his football philosophy. Coyb

Caicedo was the polar opposite of what he was when he arrived - lively, composed and intelligent. Conor was special, again. Glad he got a banner. Best game I've watched from the boys in a while, even better than the Everton drubbing. C'mon you Blues, let's get to Europe!
I’m glad to see the happiness back on George’s face😁
Ah.. it was good. Poch deserves a job hes doing someting that has been not done in 4 years. Chelsea can score and create offence! Tuchel, potter, lampard didnt have any attack at all and chelsea was often just toothless crosser. Murdick also had good stuff
Chelsea have to find another option on ffp . We cannot lose Gallagher!! Finally it looks like we’re fighting for those shirts !! C’mon you blues 👏🏻
Alfie deserves a box. He was immense. Gave son a run for his money
But good it's done with and over
Bro where's the pic in your DP taken. I have fear of heights....and it looks like your atop a tower..and it's not in India
@@blueheaven4838 Its in the observation deck of the Sears Tower in Chicago, IL.
@@aniketmazumdar4637 Cool mate. Great to know you follow the EPL inspite of the time difference.
@@blueheaven4838 Thanks. Small pleasures of life. Or in this case a big pleasure of achieving league double over Spurs.
What do we do with Enzo? Gallagher has cemented himself in the pivot role.
Enzo is an overated, expensive non necessary purchase. Without him, Caicedo is superb and the team play better. Enzo slows our game down.
@gantswood Enzo has been playing with hernia for past few months. So he hasnt been 100%. Also Gallagher plays 10 in Caicedo, Enzo pivot which makes our attack bad.
You people forget too fast.@@gantswood
The Joy Madueke had when Jackson scored made up for their penalty incident 🤟🏽🤟🏽
Caicedo showing his class
Loving the Didier Drogba hair cut by Jackson
Cucu was class today
Noni should´ve had a box. He was putting in the work as we never seen before.
Reece James, Conner Gallagher, Trevor Chalobah, Noni Madueke, Alfie Gilchrist,
Levi Colwill.
Chelsea slowly getting experience to add to the 'promise' of a very young side.
Noni was bought in from elsewhere.
Oh, god. Today and game before (the second half) our team looks mature playing with chemistry as one unit. Both wingers helped defensively Cucu was amazing whole midfielders played
Cucurella was a real machine all the much long
Aside from the Arsenal match, I’m seeing a lot of progress in the last 10 matches or so, both from the players and the manager.
Cucurella was outstanding, chaloba shows his masterclass again, that was a better result
Atmosphere was electric yesterday. Completely outsung the Tottenham fans
Cucarella was my man of the match.
Can't believe you never gave a box to Alfie Gilchrist. Had Son in his pocket!
Build the team around Caicedo - he’s world class.
I love Chelsea thank you so much for this video George! Up the Chels!!!!
It was a great night but as u said spurs wer'nt up for it ,so, in this rollercoaster ride of a season, some consistency would be very welcome indeed. Lets see what happens at west ham .love ur pod
love the content! idk if I absolutely love it or hate it, but the sweater with that background is definitely messing with my eyes.
Madness that you didn’t said anything about Maduekes perfomance he was key!⚽️
Jackson recupretion 7, Je ne jamais vu un 9 qui aide son milleu comme lui
As I have been saying, "the combination of Enzo, Caicedo and Gallagher is a bad combination because Enzo and Gallagher are similar and their system of play doesn't support Caicedo when both are in the squad.
Caicedo always plays better when either Enzo or Gallagher is NOT in the squad
Great all around team effort/win tonight. Defense was ready, even with Badi.
Cucurella was awesome tonight! With his hair cut, he really looked like a Blue Lion!!!
What love to see is the defense combination skills of our wings and full back...
Well done Lad's, cheers 🍻
Heres the thing about jackson. If he scored all of his chances, the media and fans would be talking about him like hes the signing of the season and one of the best up and coming players. Since he has missed a lot of chances he now gets labelled as being not good enough. Jackson will come good!
GB, you're killing me bro😂😂😂
Badiashile, and Trevor calm and fantastic
All we need is an elite striker and CB. To come thru in the summer and this Chelsea team could rival for anything.
Us Chelsea fans will always bounce between sacking and keeping a manger. But considering the massive injury list Poch has been under this season, our position in the league is fairly good. I’m happy as a Chelsea fan to give Poch another season with hopefully a fully fit squad to show us his football philosophy. Coyb
For the first time this season poch also made substitutes at the appropriate time.
George is smiling! 😊
Honestly think Badiashile looked really sharp today hope he keeps that up and he should start imo
All the players was amazing yesterday night
“Sensational header” from Jackson 😂 steady mate it was an open goal 😆
Trev Chalobah world class I’ll say it
The inverted fullback is what poch started during preseason and start of the season. but seems it's working
Noni is a baller 💙👏🏼
I learned that we are probably stuck with Poch 😟
