Thrown them on a couple of recent sessions. I've found that on small bush creek bass the hook-up rate is low, but decent Bass have no problem. I have also found mono leader is better and a light gauge EWG hook helps keep it on the surface.

after watching your videos i had to get some of the finesse frogs. i used them the other day in my creek and i was getting heaps of good hits but never a solid enough hook up. I think im rigging them right but i just can't seem to get a fish on them. Any ideas on why??
Juno Marley-Gunn if you lift the hook out a little so it’s showing slightly that can help. The hook doesn’t need to be totally hidden unless ur really punching into cover. Just be careful not to push it out too far cause it’ll want to roll over on you.

Do you find that the hook up rate isn’t very good with the weedless hooks? Or is it alright?
Mate I reckon it’s sweet. Definitely worth it once ur getting deeper into cover. ;) you can cheat a little and expose the hook a bit if you like. That helps too

ill be giving it a go thats for sure man, i usually only use walkers for surface bass but never had luck with frogs ill give the quick technique a go.
